Finally managed to play some hands today, been messing about with a new HUD an its been driving me a bit crazy, its getting there now though, finally got the thing up and running. Still not completely comfy with it yet, but have at least stopped playing like a total douchebag and donating to everyone whilst not even thinking like a logical person. Hopefully can put in a decent bit of volume now before the end of the month. Heres todays graph:

And heres my month so far:

As you can see my redline is ****ing mess this month, think its combo of things. Firstly 50NL has better regs who dont give up as much. Defo running bad in lots of turn/riv spots - hands like this dont help:

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    UTG: $53.42 (106.8 bb)
    MP: $46.50 (93 bb)
    CO: $121.73 (243.5 bb)
    BTN: $61 (122 bb)
    Hero (SB): $78.83 (157.7 bb)
    BB: $50 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T J
3 folds, BTN raises to $1, Hero calls $0.75, BB folds

    Flop: ($2.50) 7 7 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2, Hero calls $2

    Turn: ($6.50) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $4.50, Hero calls $4.50

    River: ($15.50) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $7.50, Hero raises to $19.75, BTN raises to $53.50 and is all-in, Hero folds

    Spoiler:
    Results: $55 pot ($2.48 rake)
    Final Board: 7 7 8 9 2
BTN mucked and won $52.52 ($25.27 net)
Hero mucked T J and lost (-$27.25 net)

But also not making some good folds in some spots i know is a big reason, this is tilt related and needs to be dealt with, so will try and do some database analysis soon to address the problem. Anyway hope i can salvage my month and make 50K plus hands, will update soon.

Btw have just finished watching True Detective, can recommend highely really good TV series:

    Anwya GL everyone

I would say that any sort of attachment to your redline at small stakes is a big leak. At limits where people a) don't fold enough, and b) don't bluff enough, having a losing redline seems completely standard and likely optimal since we should be giving up more with our bluffs, and folding more when villains ranges are often heavily weighted to value.

think you played this hand really well, and river is a fold 100% of the time. if you never herocalled this spot in your entire life, even at 500nl+, you are probably making way more money than you're losing and it wouldn't be close. definitely tilting to lose the hand, but you maxed EV and that's what it's all about.

Today was another meh day, lacked focus at the tables, HUD related bc i am still confused about a lot of stuff in my popups. Lost 2 stacks due to confusion in 3B pots where i miscalculated ranges :/ Need to re focus tomorrow morning so will be hitting the pregame meditation hard for next 10 sessions and really focusing on my game, no destractions and following a B game leak plan. Gotta make this happen pretty focused on beating 50NL now, its tilting me hard being break even bc i know if i focus and stop slipping back into slack habits i will win against these guys. Today i broke even and ran over EV about 250bb's which was nice, but am getting into lots of setups with KKvAA and AA v Topset in 4B pots sorta stuff so kinda give or take whatevers No giraffe today bc i am not crushing hehe, joke actually too tired to post one today, tomoz though fosho ! oh also played a donkament and busted early so nothing new there - micromillions QQ>KK vs a 50/30 spazwhale lolz

yeah place is super nice - managed to get a good deal on it share with a few friends and it cost around 1200£ per month + bills, works out pretty cheap i pay 340£ per month which is a steal. Looking forward to some summer time BBQs now after winter.

today was the toughest day this year, cant say i played my best, but ran truely awful in every possible way. Setup city every other hand. Couldnt beat 2nl running like this tbh haha. Month now:

      Current mood:

      Thats all for now

      Tomorrows a new day though
      03-20-2014 , 08:54 AM
Decided to channel my inner nit and move down to 25NL again:

Makes me sad to fail at my shot 50NL, but i can't play solid with all the pressure of my BR being threatened and running like i have been. Never expected the move up to be easy so just need to work lots on my game, next time i move up i will be a better player. Made numerous mistaes during the last 35K hands. Also i am totally aware that many people have run much much worse for longer periods of time than i have recently, its just hard to process the variance in your brain when its you that its happening to you.

Anyway 25NL here i come again Today is officially the first day of spring lets celebrate

See ya at the tables fellow micro peps, everyone else GL at the tables

Hey wassup people - quick March review here:

            Results March:

Pretty disappointed that i failed to play my A-game nearly enough especially after moving back down to 25NL after my 50NL shot. Runbad is just an excuse, its my mental game thats the problem still not solid enough, esp in heavily reg infersted lineups when i run bad.

            Year so far:

So some changes are goin to be made.

Change 1) move down to 10NL for one month to work on my game at a level where the money has no real meaning to me, just making the best plays i possibly can. move back to 25NL if i feel huge advances in my thought process.

Change 2) back to real life work for 3 nights a week driving for my friends company, should net me 200-250£ per week which is comfy living expenses.

Change 3) tilt reports / analysis - detailing mental game stuff like i started out doing but got slack with after i crushed for 100K hands, i never solved some underlying issues that are still there, and need addressing. Its like i was a different player at the ned of March comapred to the end of Feb.

Change 4) session review 4 times per week, i kinda slack at this so i feel i should set an attainable goal for this. Also the theory really controls my mental game, if i know why i am folding calling raising then i enevr get tilted by results, whereas if i randomly make feel plays (which i do a lot) and they go wrong i get tilted.

So thats my goals for April. Also i began reading/listening to an audiobook that may appear a little "out there" to some people, but has some interesting ways on how to use the brain to your advantage.

            link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Power_of_Now

Its very deep in places, but offers some really cool idea's on how to think about life differently. Its already helped me in some ways that i wont go into detail here yet, until i have fully read / tested them. Gonna end up a hippy at this rate

To finish i will say that this month ended with some really great waves here, some pics from the last 4 days

            Thanks man!

New Goal for April, play 100K hands of zoom solid, when i say solid what i mean is to never make a bluff without thinking about hand ranges. its gonna be tough bc i am a button clicker at heart Have decided that 3 tables of zoom will provide me with the best chance to think clearly and logically about every hand i play. Its gonna be focused and active learning / play. Will be posting reports pretty much daily. Thats all for now people, GL and maybe see ya at the zoomaments
            04-08-2014 , 08:27 AM
Quick update, been working hard on my game, although volume somewhat low this month, mainly bc been working hard to integrate new HUD, which i have done now. Can say with con fidence i expect to be able to exploit low stakes people really well with this thing, its a beast. So looking to play a strategy that adjusts in a somewhat exploitative style so i become everyones nemesis unless they play solid balanced strategy (which no one does )

            Spoiler:

In life stuff, surfs been good lately, feeling fitter now its warming up and getting in the sea a bunch, also have quit any drinking and living clean as much as possible, makes a huge difference an feels good. Here is a picture i got the other day of a nice green tube during what was the funnest surf in a long while

Thats all for now, will post an update of 25NL zoom results when i have 25K hands from today with new HUD, probs just 3tabling to really focus and try and play my A++ game. GL everyone

Keep your head up John and just remember, losing heaps and winning heaps isn't real. The only thing that matters is how hard you are working to make your worst less bad and your best even better.

                      100K HANDS 25NL ZOOM MINICHALLENGE

So been running awful at 50NL and need to get myself back in a good frame of mind. So am beginning a small minichallenge today in a LorenzoMatterhorn / OTBRedBaron esk style today destroying-500nl-zoom-minichallenge (highly recommend reading that thread btw)

                      - 100K hands of 25NL zoom with the highest winrate i can achieve, goal is minimum 5bb/100 although i feel if i run ok i can get 7-8 easy. Will update daily and post intersting hands / coolers, also any tilt stuff i think is relevant.

                      Spoiler:

                      Let the fun begin...
