Just finished up a 11.5 hr session at 4 in the a.m. What I noticed today: a lot of regs try to angle shoot like crazy. I got into a spot where it was interpreted as forward motion and I had to put 50 dollars that was in my hand (unreleased) into the pot when I had ace high nothing and no draw on a turn. I'm used to playing at casinos where the line on the table means something. :/ it was from some cowboy looking Asian man with long hair.
I feel like I played my A game today, I knew where I was at most of the time, didn't try to suck out. The hand that theoretically made me the most money in one single hand:
Blinds 2/5 I have KK in BB(250). Utg+2 opens for 35, mp1 and mp2 call, button calls, I open ship. Original raiser insta calls (has me covered) short stack mp1 (70) calls as well. Board, AJT 7 A. Utg+2 shows TT for the boat, mp1 mucks, I muck.
Lol, I'll take that situation where tens insta call my shove all day every day if I have to though.
I played pretty solid, moved away from the angling Asian cowboy, and shipped pocket aces into this one lady's flush draw on flop, and held up. So I can't complain that I'm running super bad or anything. I cashed up a little over $400 for the day.
I'm super ready for the weekend game, I don't know what to expect really. Wake up at 2:30 pm, get off the 62 bus stop one stop early, pick up a chicken bake from Costco, then back to the grind. Btw, stuck with the 2/5 game. I think I can beat it.
