Hello everyone on the Two Plus Two forum,

I suppose I should start with an introduction,

My name is David, and I currently live a fairly basic life here in Calgary. A bummer 9-5 job, which pays ok.. Depending on ones lifestyle. But I won't get into much detail on that since this isn't what this thread is about.

I'd like to write out to you readers and fantastic minds if you would be able to set me on a path to become a better poker player so that one day in the near future I'll be able to play this beautiful game for a living.

My knowledge of poker I'd like to say is fairly basic, I've read books like Doyle's Super System, Little Green Book, and John Littles Cash Game which I believe was a bit to advanced for me since majority of it blew past my head. I've also been in the Twitch scene a bit watching people like JCarver, Elky, Adrianfenix, trying to better grasp there concepts and approach to the game. So I'd like to say I have a lot, a lot of work ahead of me if this is something I do want to do for a living.

I do love poker, I love the game, it's visually appealing seeing cards on the screen, even physically holding them is quite magical as well. However I have yet to discover the difference of the fantasy based perception of being a winning poker player, and the true, raw, reality of being a winning poker player. And so with a decision I have come to a conclusion that I would like to dedicate a solid year into developing my poker skills. And I'm asking you guys if you'd be able to set me on a correct path to becoming a better player.

Now I also know a year isn't much time and that the true sharks and people who crush the game have spent a decade perfecting there game. But I'd like to spend this year to learn some core fundamentals and build a solid foundation to better figure out if this is something I'd love to do for a living.

I apologize ahead of time if this is in the wrong category, and I also greatly appreciate you the reader taking the time in giving me a route to follow.

Cheers,

David
