@MakinItKane9
No, currently I don't play on iPoker.
@Jaznin
You should probably be able to find it in my next post(250k Challenge Report).
GL to you as well!
Hello fellow poker players,
It's time to wrap up the month. It's been a long one and it has left me with mixed feelings. But let's start with my ''official'' lockdown.
The lockdown was supposed to start at the beginning of the month but due to some technical issues with my car I couldn't leave and the fact that my preodered flat wasn't in appropriately equipped, I had to postpone it till somewhere mid this month. When I got in I started putting my hours in but it in the end it was sort of shy for 40h given my highest priority goal(number of hours 250). I mean I'm not unsatisfied with 212h but still it leaves a bit of a bitterness inside me.
Now money wise, it was my best month ever with a little
bit over 31,5k$ in profit(post RB). There are multiple reasons for such result and will listed below:
1. Variance
Well without a decent run on higher stakes you just can't make it. I already talked about my monthly results depending on variance on the high stakes. Everything went mostly my way and so, sometimes you really don't need to be a sicko at this game in order to make money.
2. Volume
This is, I guess, standard reason.
3.Summer in Europe
This is a very important reason. If you take a closer look at my blog you could see that my best months were always when it was getting hotter outside. Now, from my experience during this project, it seems to me like the winning players enjoy summer in all it's beauty to the point where they get lazy about sitting in from of the PC and grind. This creates and environment where the RB grinders have to keep doing from they are living from and so the line ups become way more softer. In short words, a winning player will make during summer even more money. Not always the case ofc, but surely a very good situation for winning players to be in.
That all being said, I actually don't think I improved much and this result is really amazing, but as I know already, summer results are hardly a mirror of your quality and the real results are mostly seen in Winter, especially January,February.
I'm really happy to have finally book a +30k$ month, although at the end it was just playing NL100 and 200 to pick the RB and bonuses and hold on to the 30k$. Little bit of chickenish from me, but I missed it already twice for a couple of hundreds of $, so this time I said no way, not gonna happen again.
But there are some negative things about this month. First thing, I was really close to make 40k$ at one point. I had a dream scenario, HU vs fish NL1k. If I take his stack I'm pretty sure I will make it but I failed to play my best and due to some good fish run + me playing my B-C game I couldn't stack him and he actually ended up winning against me and then quitting. The fact was I was already in the session for 10h grinding +12 tables and when he came I was tired and exhausted but I had the chance to prove myself when it comes to the point where I had to pull out my best once again, I failed. Arrggghhh.....so angry at myself about it, about this situations.
Next fail is....I had to end my coaching for profits deal. I'm really sad about it because had a really good connection with him and I'm very happy to had a chance to be his coach because he forced me to be better. It wasn't for me the most lucrative investment ever, but I learned a lot during this time and certainly this experience made me a better player and coach. I also made some mistakes during the coaching for profit that brought to the end of the deal. TX Carlo and GL for the future!
Now, time for some pics:
TOTAL CHALLENGE: 229 851.63$(LAST UPDATE) + 20 990.90$(WINNINGS 26 DAYS) + 10 705.77$(RakeBack) = 261 548.30$/ 250 000$
Overall very happy to have completed this challenge. It's like a very big milestone and I will continue playing and being around for another 250k(at least I hope so). So the new target is 500k$.
