I actually completely understand for not accepting US players ATM. The risk to put all the time and into coaching and just randomly not being able to cash out because of new federal/state laws, or anything from lawsuits because of laws, would just be bad/risky business.

@NeoKortex
Yeah it is. Well it all depends where you live. In my country I can make more money by playing poker in 3 years then most people with an above then average salary in 40 years.

@dreamtruth
My site and SN are still hidden although sooner or later if you follow the blog you will probably get to know it.

@Kounterfit
Dreams can come true.
BTW. AFAIK New Jersey offers some really juicy legal online games.

Hi guys,

So I didn't update in while and there is a reason why. May looked like a normal one, I grind my standard hours but my headaches didn't stop and they got stronger and stronger to the point they started influencing my game. So again I went to see the doctor and we did some sort of systematic scan of my whole body and it came out that my brain shell feels too much pressure and that's the cause for my headaches. The we talked a bit about my situation which was a very nice talk and we kind of figure out that my headaches comes from my job and the fact that I'm too much into poker and can't find a way to really get away from it.
So she said that if I don't learn to get myself out of my working environment that it won't be good for me long term.I realized my brain is consistently thinking about something related to work to the point where I can't really mentally relax.

So I packed my stuff the next day and went on 3-4 weeks holiday. I said to myself no playing just relaxing. The first couple of days it wasn't easy and I really missed the game. But as time passed by I got more and more out of poker and was able to really distract myself from poker. I didn't think much about poker and now I'm really happy to start playing again and guess what, I didn't have any health issues.
Ironically the reasons why I got this headaches isn't because I don't win, but rather because I'm consistently trying to figure this detailed layers in search for new edges to reach my high set WR challenges. Anyway I will have to change some things in my lifestyle, not happy about all, but without being healthy I'm anyway not gonna be able to play poker.

Now back to results. Overall mixed feelings, since in May,overall I got decent results on the lower stakes, while on the higher I lost a bit. I can't say I'm satisfied but I shouldn't really complain as 8,5k$ isn't really a super bad result for normally like 2/3 of my minimal monthly working hours. Anyway I plan on taking things slowly the next couple of days and see how it goes. No hurry since going back to full working mode without hustle will take some time. I'm really interested what kind of results I will produce in June.

Hey guys,

Time to wrap up this June. Well, short month overall for me but pretty successful with a lot of news and changes.
First of all, I started bumhunting HU. I mean the reason is very simple. I mean I highly doubt that a winning mid stakes reg can't sit on HU tables wait for a weaker player and win money. Ofc that doesn't mean he will have the same WR as HU specialist but beating the weaker player he is certainly able to do. As far as I noticed switching from 6max to HU is IMO easier compared to the other way around. I mean this is my personal opinion but also based on facts if I compare the quality of play from HU players on 6max tables(only when fish) and the other way around anyway rarely happens since the 6max reg will rarely battle a HU reg. And yeah for the fish the 6max reg should have the sufficient edge to beat the reg. Results wasn't very good because because a NL600 reg did crush me but the fact is that I also don't really get much action. If it's not anyway a very big fish I won't play him because sometimes it's confusing to play 6max, FR and HU at the same time.

Next news is that I started to sit on any lines ups on all NL200 tables. Ofc if there is a weaker table I won't say no because of some reg battle pride, but I find it very interesting to sit on full reg table and wondering who is paying the rake. On NL400 I can sit on most tables but there are lines where I don't understand who is actually paying the rake. But yeah, I very rarely underestimate my edges. Certainly a big goal of mine is to be able to play anyone up to NL1k so I can start focusing to learn other poker formats to finally pursue my big wish to become an allround player.

About the month itself, it was very good. I mean I just worked on 7 days(44h) and made more then 10k$(post RB). But I also run pretty hot. I mean the coolers that you normally lose I just consistently suck out and that on the highest stakes so ofc luck was on my side this month and that's the reason for such a high EV difference.
Definitely a big reason why I'm consistently improving is my student Carlo. He keeps inspiring me and feeding me with new knowledge and always pushing me to improve. In some areas he is actually stronger then I am and I'm very glad I had the chance to have him as a student.

For July I'm hoping to have fun in Dubrovnik(BPC Meeting), get back on pace and find a nice bootcamp place for a working marathon in August. The reason is because May and June are the months where I work way less the usual. It was last year the same case. So I'm hoping for better results in July. Will keep you update in the future posts.

Hello everyone,

How you are enjoying yourself this summer?I could answer that question very easily but probably not in a way a professional should answer it
But yeah, this month was action packed and let's start.

Basically the first 17 days I spent in Sweden and Norway. Was super chilly, as I hang out a lot in the nature and was visiting around a lot of cool stuff. Also I did the temperature since it was mostly sunny with modest temperature around 23-24C.Both countries are pretty expensive and for the problem was also I have to go to liquid store to buy alcohol. WTF? For me drinking a beer or a glass of wine is part of day in summer and not being possible to do so and especially this ''trips'' where a pain in the ass. Maybe I'm too ''Balkan'' type of guy for this kind of things. Besides this I found both countries very interesting, but probably to raise a family rather then being a young poker player.

Next thing I came home to Croatia, besides the 15C temperature shock, I jumped in the car and drove to Dubrovnik to the BPC meeting. Since I suggested Dubrovnik I was really hoping that people will have a very nice time and will enjoy their stay besides like the official part. In the end it seemed like everybody had learned a lot about mindset and attitude in general and also had a very nice time off the seminars. I mean discovering Dubrovnik and it's archipelago with a jet ski was an amazing idea although we drove it like wild people(that's what the guide said since he wanted to bring us back after 15min), but also the party in fortress dating from 15. century, part of the UNESCO heritage was really cool. It was just so cool to meet up with all this guys, have fun and get motivated, because everybody that came there got home motivated and actually realized how little they actually achieved and how much more is possible. Guys it was my pleasure to meet up with you and looking forward to the next one.

Anyway I drove home and all of sudden my car died. WTF?? Anyway waiting to get it fixed after we had to find a new engine. Got stranded actually in pretty cool and nice place so I don't mind the adventure it's just that it kind of screw a bit my plans which brings me to the next part.

YES!YES!YES! I was never so happy about such a modest result like this month. I made just 7,5k$ but I was playing so terrible because of the tight schedule that I really should have deserved a losing month. But I dodged it in the last minutes of the month and I'm so happy. I was playing 20 tables at times and I was like timing outing as hell, made a lot of bad plays/missreads, without breaks etc. Ofc I didn't run particularly well on the NL1k and NL600(8k$ hole) but that is really no excuse for my bad performance at the tables and should have been punished. The whole tight schedule and the mass grind was completely out of my comfort zone and probably isn't my real strength. I personally see this as a warning for the future and so I will probably make some sort of lockdown in August because I really want to show again commitment to the game and prove that I can still be the''good old grind Hans''. Because less then 200 hours in 2 months is really a poor perfomance. In the end I have to remember myself that creating good working ethic as a young person without commitment is way harder then actually losing them.

Poker wise, interestingly , I save this month TX to HU. Otherwise I would have had a pre RB losing month. Also I thinking about dropping the NL600 and NL1k tables because of the hugh impact on the month. If I run good on the them 20k$ is really easy but if I run bad, oh boy, and the sample size that I will make will never be really relevant since this stakes for now I can only bumhunt. To an certain extend it feels like I'm praying to variance let me win more flips or give me more coolers, because I really doubt in some line ups the air gets really tight for me unless the fish is really huge. So I either have to be more strict or even take care about the lineups/quality of the fish because I'm a bit money scared and there are a lot of players that I will start crying on certain boards. And I have to play them. But yeah, now let's see some graph and pics:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 222 371.73$(LAST UPDATE) + 229.47$(WINNINGS 24 DAYS) + 7 250.43$(RakeBack) = 229 851.63$ / 250 000$

So the goals for August will be:

- Grind at least 250h( Highest priority)
- Finish 250k$ Challenge(cool thing because it would almost a year since I finished 100k challenge)

That's it for this update. This time I will say that I might need the GL! GL!

Hello fellow poker players,

It's time to wrap up the month. It's been a long one and it has left me with mixed feelings. But let's start with my ''official'' lockdown.

The lockdown was supposed to start at the beginning of the month but due to some technical issues with my car I couldn't leave and the fact that my preodered flat wasn't in appropriately equipped, I had to postpone it till somewhere mid this month. When I got in I started putting my hours in but it in the end it was sort of shy for 40h given my highest priority goal(number of hours 250). I mean I'm not unsatisfied with 212h but still it leaves a bit of a bitterness inside me.

Now money wise, it was my best month ever with a little bit over 31,5k$ in profit(post RB). There are multiple reasons for such result and will listed below:

1. Variance
Well without a decent run on higher stakes you just can't make it. I already talked about my monthly results depending on variance on the high stakes. Everything went mostly my way and so, sometimes you really don't need to be a sicko at this game in order to make money.

2. Volume
This is, I guess, standard reason.

3.Summer in Europe
This is a very important reason. If you take a closer look at my blog you could see that my best months were always when it was getting hotter outside. Now, from my experience during this project, it seems to me like the winning players enjoy summer in all it's beauty to the point where they get lazy about sitting in from of the PC and grind. This creates and environment where the RB grinders have to keep doing from they are living from and so the line ups become way more softer. In short words, a winning player will make during summer even more money. Not always the case ofc, but surely a very good situation for winning players to be in.

That all being said, I actually don't think I improved much and this result is really amazing, but as I know already, summer results are hardly a mirror of your quality and the real results are mostly seen in Winter, especially January,February.
I'm really happy to have finally book a +30k$ month, although at the end it was just playing NL100 and 200 to pick the RB and bonuses and hold on to the 30k$. Little bit of chickenish from me, but I missed it already twice for a couple of hundreds of $, so this time I said no way, not gonna happen again.

But there are some negative things about this month. First thing, I was really close to make 40k$ at one point. I had a dream scenario, HU vs fish NL1k. If I take his stack I'm pretty sure I will make it but I failed to play my best and due to some good fish run + me playing my B-C game I couldn't stack him and he actually ended up winning against me and then quitting. The fact was I was already in the session for 10h grinding +12 tables and when he came I was tired and exhausted but I had the chance to prove myself when it comes to the point where I had to pull out my best once again, I failed. Arrggghhh.....so angry at myself about it, about this situations.

Next fail is....I had to end my coaching for profits deal. I'm really sad about it because had a really good connection with him and I'm very happy to had a chance to be his coach because he forced me to be better. It wasn't for me the most lucrative investment ever, but I learned a lot during this time and certainly this experience made me a better player and coach. I also made some mistakes during the coaching for profit that brought to the end of the deal. TX Carlo and GL for the future!

Now, time for some pics:

TOTAL CHALLENGE: 229 851.63$(LAST UPDATE) + 20 990.90$(WINNINGS 26 DAYS) + 10 705.77$(RakeBack) = 261 548.30$/ 250 000$

Overall very happy to have completed this challenge. It's like a very big milestone and I will continue playing and being around for another 250k(at least I hope so). So the new target is 500k$.
Now gonna take a day off to celebrate, but then back on the tables and with a nice report for this challenge. I would also say TY guys for being part and following this journey of mine and I hope the fun ride will continue. GL!GL!

I have been inactive on poker scene for over 1 year now, however I do remember your blog. I recently entered some topics on 2p2 and because of that I got some fresh reminder emails - just received the one that leads to your topic. The last time I read your topic you had something like $120k out of $100k and decided to go for $250k. Profits were around $10-$12k or so.

So I was curious how the situation changed and I am absolutely shocked. Seriously, I don't know how many poker players are out there, who worked their way so hard from $50 to 6-figures. Impressive is not enough of a word. Huge congrats man not only for your results (which are awesome), but for your work ethics and self motivation. Soon I will move out from home and maybe will try "from zero to hero", from €100 to be precise and hopefully be back to like 50nl, so that I can make some additional money (I used to be 100nl grinder). I hope that your blog will serve me as a motivation.

One more time congrats and best of luck my friend, you are the man.

I was opening this thread to write the case-study for Hansthegreat's success. Was looking for the funny negative comments he got at the start and then this... Eu.Era... please! Stay positive here. You can hate on BPC anywhere else, but this is not the place.

Eu.Era, you're just a hating loser. Even in a competition among losers you would make 2nd place.

Here is a recent interview from Hans:

https://youtu.be/hJkbDhZFRFA?t=5m32s

Hans is SO good as a player right now that neither myself nor BPC can help him improve any further. That was actually a year ago when we talked and i told him to look elsewhere to improve further. That included other coaches and other sites.
Eu, you're blind-sighted by hate because i made some rough comments to you some time ago. Get over your hate.

I'm chearing for Hans altho technically (and practically) he is beating the current CFP students and teaching them real lessons on the table. Everybody at BPC admires him, he's a role model for many.

He made a Coachingforprofit deal in private on his own (BPC gets no %) with his student (it's a deal outside of BPC). He cancelled that and it's up to him to explain in more detail or not... but it has nothing to do with BPC.

Here are some pictures of Hans with his former coach (yes, that's me), just one month ago in Dubrovnik!

Think about your last comment there and how that compares with reality. What would Hans position be now had he not taken part in this? What is his position now ?

Hans now has the tools to crush that he may never have picked up from anywhere else.

Would you rather have a % of £250,000 or 100% of 0?

It's common knowledge Hans grinded just as much before meeting Gordon than when he did so Gordon did not motivate Hans to put in sick volume and work. Hans was doing that anyway. The only thing Gordon did was probably make Hans play worse strategy wise (allowing him to beat the micros (he was playing too advanced for fish originally which is common)). I bought Gordon's 6 max book and watched the videos, the advice was terrible. He made Hans raise vs a donk bet with like 8 high and his reasoning was "because i always raise donk bets". You guys are defending Gordon for doing practically no work himself and making i'm assuming atleast half probably more. 125k for probably 100 hours of coaching?
