Well, I have no idea, as I mentioned that KJ hand is just a mess.
Just a longer version of the same mix-tape on this vid. Next time I'll do a live vid, with commentary I think.
Watched the first 30 minutes and have some notes for you.
4:45 - im opening any Kx vs a 29/5 BVB here, think folding K4 is a bit too tight
5:10 - think we can flat A9s BTN vs MP open w the mentioned 29/5 in SB
8:10 - def opening JT when it folds to us in the CO
13:20 - opening K3 BTN
15:45 - im defending AQ MP vs BTN 3b vs a 9% 3bettor
16:45 - not in love w 4betting J8s CO vs BTN, altho I can understand why u'd want to since he was 3betting 15%, but I'd prefer to have some blockers to go with, J8s can easily be dominated by his 3b/calling range and weíre only 100 deep so donít have much room for playing postflop w the SPR
18:45 - dont think we need to be betting so big w QQ on 766s after he calls our 3bet, id just bet like 11.50 into 20
21:20 - defending KJ BTN vs BB min3b
21:30 - if our plan is to donk/fold A3s on K52 w the backdoor fd iíd just x/call instead, we got showdown value w our A hi and we can x/r some spade turns for instance. Think donk/folding this hand is a mistake.
23:00 - KQ straight - def think we need to be putting in that turn raise once itís 3way w a bettor and a caller, we want to start building the pot and theres lots of cards that will kill our action on the river, like spades, if the board pairs or a K/Q rolls off.
24:20 - opening A2in the CO
25:15 - donít like this, i think we just have to stab flop when it checks to us, this aint the board to have a straight fd in our check back range imo
27:45 - betting bigger to set up riverjam w AKs on the turn, as played I like the x/c otr
29:00 - folding 44 BTN vs MP open
31:40 - this is way too loose to get in JJ and over repping our hand, donít really expect any of them to ever show up w TT or worse here, which they need to for us to get in JJ and we really shouldnít have much fold equity. Itís even worse that we are 120 deep w the 4bettor
just wow, the people you're playing against are morons!
I'm not judging your game by theirs haha, sick results !
What people have said about your fold to 3bet is true tho. At 100nlz if i see a reg with a fold to 3bet as high as yours, I just presume they are clueless...vs aggressive villains you have to be defending your opens otherwise you are going to be leaking heaps of money! might be fine vs the players you're facing who are mainly fish and weak regs
4:45 Ax yes, Kx not sure. Probably yes versus this BB who seems weak.
5:10 Yes, I would say it's borderline.
8:10: Opening JTo on this table would be a rather big mistake, especially because the BTN was not an empty seat. Rather a decent active reg.
13:20 Well I open around 50% of buttons. I would say its situational wether to do it or not.
14:45: Clearly agree that folding here is a mistake.
16:46: Was about time to just 4bet, flop a draw and get it in with a piece of the board. Probably folding if he ships or waving the white flag.
It's a close spot and villain here was clearly out of line. He's flat pre I think consist of AQ/KQ/KJ/KT combos a lot. I was pretty sure my cbet would work here majority of the time as well. Could 4bet blockers, could 4bet something that plays fairly good post-flop. Candidates for 4betting for me is usually Kx and A2-A5s ish hands. Some of the other pots vs him should have been flatted pre, due to betsizing also.
18:45 Agree, its too big.
21:30 Donk/folding with also spades backdoor here is horrible. That hand is butchered. I think check-calling here is by far the best line and evaluate turns.
23:00 Yes, I discussed this hand with a few others as well. I think as played the BB has a FD here a lot of the time. It's a clear value raise. How about making it $28, and jam non heart rivers?
24:20 I dont open A2o CO. It is def too loose for my liking. If people open that loose, the button would have to be almost an empty seat. I open my button range on CO if button is invisible otherwise not. People should not get away with opening more than 30-35% of cut-offs.
25:15 Yes, I don't like my play here either.
27:45 Akward stack-sizes. I should probably go ahead and just bomb flop and turn here with my monster draw.
29:00 Folding 44 OTB vs Open? I think that is a huge mistake.
31:40 It is def not too loose. JJ is "nuts" here versus the guy to our left who is a massive whale.
Enjoylife probably has 77-TT (excluding JJ) and AJ AQ combos here a lot. I think my JJ play is quite close to optimal. For those who has played with enjoylife he is a very bad reg. It is not uncommon for him stacking for example AQ UTG vs a 3bet from MP/CO/BTN.
The main reason is that the only guy I fear is UTG's tight opening range by flatting OTB I have position post-flop and will overset people and the aggro-fish can SQZ. If UTG 4-bets I can just fold, but when UTG folds himself I'am very certain my hand is good here a lot. Especially with 35bbs deadmoney in the pot, makes my shove pretty good. As you might noticed the villain in the JJ hand is the very same guy who floated QTxHH flop with A7o with no pair, no backdoors, nothing. He doesn't understand whats going on.
I think 31:40 is among the better plays I did in this video without being results oriented.
Just a comment on the KJs hand from the page before where you flat MP v CO
Not sure if KJs is good enough to flat in this spot, i usually 4bet it or fold depending on villain, not sure which is higher EV in this spot tho.
However I think given that villain checks back the flop as we turn a massive draw, i'd prolly be betting pot ott and then jamming the river with combo draws like this, and balance with sets/slow played OPs
Obv depends on how you construct your range tho, wp op keep crushing da fish
I would like that people think "oh there's brutti, meh this is going to be though".
Most regs probably think I am bad I guess. That's just how it is in the poker environment, everybody think they are the best. However I'll be the first to accept that I play far away from optimal, I just play somewhat better than the competition at my stakes.
