Bad week. I played horrible on all limits. Some of my plays were disastrous. With only few better plays I could save at least 600€. However, I did not but fortunately luck was once again on my side so I ended the week in green and not in red numbers.

The only great thing about last week was my studying. During holidays I did not study a lot but now I’m finally back in the rhythm and ready to absorb new information. Last week my coach made 2 great videos about BB play and one more about my live play. They are great and I think more of them are coming in the future since from this week on we have individual coaching. Well, I think it is time to crush NL100.

Here are my NL100, NL50 and overall results for last week. As you can see, the red line is killing me!

Last week I was working hard on my red line problem and I think I improved a lot. I was very satisfied with my play during work days but then the weekend came and I managed to completely destroy my results. Therefore, I’m very disappointed. I personally think that cards were just not on my side and I hope this is true. But it does not matter that much because I still have to improve a lot and I’m working on it. Well, I guess it's going to take time before I start crushing NL100.

Another horrible week is behind me. This month I’m not winning on any limits, although I’m studying a lot and I trying to improve as much as I can. My big blind play is once again awful and on the other positions I’m not winning as much as I used to. However, it is still a long path in front of me so I need to keep working on my game and the results will come.

Bad play in recent weeks forced me to move down to NL50. Last few days I was running better but overall I'm still very disappointed with my play. I'm trying to improve as much as I can but the results are just not showing up. Maybe better days will come soon.

Decreasing red line is still a big problem. My SB and BB winrates are not enviable and last week I even had a negative winrate on EP (-12bb/100). Yes, this is possible but it is easy to fix. All I have to do is to fold all hands when I’m first to act and I should make more money. Well, my coach sees things differently so we are currently focusing on check/raising situations. We are improving my red line step by step but unfortunately there is still a marathon in front of us. Nittyness is another problem that we are trying to solve. My VPIP and PFR numbers are far from expected but that is fine because I do not play good postflop. Therefore, I will stay a nit for at least few months more. Bigger problems represent my low 3-bet stats which are low on all positions. So as a test I started to 3-bet more from the SB and we will see how it goes.

I cannot find many good things that happened last week. Actually, the only thing I can be proud on is that I worked very hard. I put a lot of time into studying and updating my notes and I hope the results will come soon because my play is disastrous. Especially I would like to stress my SB play which worsened a lot. This was actually expected because last two weeks I started playing different strategy on this position which is more suitable for higher stakes. For this reason, my winrate decreased and settled at horrible -50bb/100 hands. This week I will put special emphasis on my SB play because I need to fix this as soon as possible. Play on other positions we improve afterwards.

Try not to be to hard on yourself mate you'll find that it just adds pressure. You've got a good work ethic and a desire to learn and improve so results will come in time.

Work on just one area of your game at a time over a decent sample and then you can see what works and what doesn't. Otherwise it becomes difficult to tell whether something's working or not or if it's just variance. Just my 2 cents On my way Best of luck I'll be following along.

My current game is definitely not good enough for NL50 so to keep my bankroll alive I have moved down to NL20. When I get myself together I will try to climb the stakes once again.

Last week my coach suggested that I move down to NL20 to get my confidence back. We also analysed a lot of hands and came to the following conclusions. First of all, I’m not playing in all spots according to our strategy and this is (for me) unacceptable. I need to start trusting into our strategy once again and the best place to do this is on lower limits. Secondly, I’m not as aggressive as I used to be. I barrel less, I bet less and I call more and we all know that passiveness is not the way to go. And lastly, my mental game needs improvements. Horrible weeks on NL100 and NL50 definitely changed my game and mentality so I started to focus on both of them.

Result wise I had an outstanding week. After a long time, I once again played NL20 and I can say that there are definitely more fishes here than on higher limits. Unfortunately, stats say that my game still needs big improvements but we will correct this later. For now, I’m just very satisfied with my winrates on all positions. This week I start playing NL50 once again and we will see how it goes.

Unusually week is behind me. On Monday I got a new HUD for my HM2 so I had to reset my database and create Notecaddy stats all over again. Believe it or not but this procedure took 3 days to complete. If I had a better computer this might be done overnight but on my laptop it lasted forever. During this process I could not play so I dedicated my time to studying. I watched all coaching videos from this year (there are a lot of them), updated my notes and went through them multiple times.

On Thursday evening I started playing NL50 once again. My play on these limits is still awful, despite the fact that I’m trying to apply all advices given by coach. Somehow I just cannot beat the game and this concerns me. What is even more intimidating is the fact that my stats are getting worse, although I’m trying to improve them. For example, I have to barrel more on the turn but despite my efforts the turn c-bet stat did not improve a bit. On the other hand, I somehow managed to worsen my flop and river c-bet stats. Other stats are also not looking great and I hope that the reason for this is just small sample size. Maybe I will play less this week and try to work more on my game but I will decide about that after my coaching. I cannot wait to hear what my coach has to say about my game.

I started last week with a very bad session on NL50 which forced me to move down to NL20 once again. My statistics on NL50 is worse than horrible. In the last 30 sessions I had 1 winning, 2 breakeven and 27 loosing sessions. I’m not absolutely sure, but I think that during this time my coach sweated me in at least 2 sessions which means that I cannot win even a single session all by myself. Fortunately, I can still beat lower limits. My current game works fine on NL20 and I will spend quite a bit time here because I have to rebuild my bankroll and improve my game. Maybe I should not be playing NL50 until my red line is close to a straight. Currently, it is still falling like hell, although I’m working on it every week. To improve it even further, the main focus in this month will be on middle sized pots. Me and my coach will go through them every week, analyse them and try to improve my game. We both know that the biggest problem in these pots is my passiveness. I also make too many bad calls on the turn and the river. This is actually quite funny because I have too high river efficiency and I should hero call more.

Seems like you're calling too many flops and turns only to give up later in the hand. If you flop a reasonable hand but there's a lot of scare cards that can come on later streets consider raising, or even just folding vs passive opponents.

Another week just passed by and I’m still stuck at NL20. The results of the last week are not as good as I would like them to be so I will have to stay a little bit longer on these limits. I’m still not satisfied with my game because I’m overplaying some spots and I’m still too passive, although I’m trying to improve this for ages. You cannot see this from the graph but it can be seen from the stats that I’m moving into the right direction. My game is getting better, at the tables I feel very comfortable and as soon as I fix my passiveness I will start crushing the limits. I will continue working hard and hope that this happens soon.

I’m very happy that the week is over because last few days were a nightmare. My game was disastrous and I do not know why. Bad play lead to a tilt and final results are probably even worse than they should be. Like all weeks before I was focusing on my red line problem but unfortunately the line looks the same as all weeks before. I guess the major problem still exist and I hope we find it soon.

Nothing new happened last week. I was playing very good in the middle of the week but then I ruined my results so in the end I cannot be thrilled with my winnings. My game is still far away from middle stakes although I’m trying to follow all the guidelines given by my coach. It looks like I will need even more time to move up.

Another bad week is behind me. Still trying to be more aggressive but the results are just not showing. I have no idea what is wrong with my red line. The more I try to improve it, the more it falls. Maybe I have to play more hands preflop because I’m losing a lot of money there. However, I will keep on working on my game and one day it will all add up.

Finally, a better week arrived. In the first half of the week I was more or less breakeven but then things turned around and I made quite a bit of money during the weekend. My bankroll is now a little bit bigger and ready for NL50. My game is also improving. Every day I’m watching videos from previous coachings and trying to be more aggressive. It’s not an easy job. I have a lot of material so the only thing I have to do is to put all that knowledge into my head. In the next few weeks my coach will sweat me more and we will try to find smaller leaks in my game. And there are plenty of them because when he sweats me the red line is always positive. I just hope I get close to his level of play as soon as possible.

Not the best week. I still have a lot of things to improve in my game before I move up the stakes. Red line is still a huge problem and mainly because I’m not aggressive enough in the right spots. I’m working on this and hoping that things get better soon.

First few days of the last week were horrible. I just could not win a single hand. But then things turned around and I managed to pull off few sessions with a break even red line which is for me a fantastic result. I know that one swallow does not make a spring so I will keep on working on my red line and sooner or later I will be aggressive enough in the right spots with the right hands.

Last few weeks luck is not on my side, but what can you do. Maybe it would not be a bad idea to increase the volume to overcome this bad luck but then I would have less time for studying. My game is improving although the results are not confirming this fact. Some sessions I play great but then the bad ones come and completely destroy my results. Maybe I have to start working on my consistency or maybe just study more and consistency will arrive once I better understand the game. We will see.
