My Quest to Become a Better Player in 2013, NL and Beyond! My Quest to Become a Better Player in 2013, NL and Beyond!

Hey guys. This is my second PG&C thread so far. My last thread got cut short due to my laptop completely quitting on me and having to purchase another. However, I did play on a borrowed laptop, just didn't have the convenience of my HUD and graphs. I was able to triple my BR during the time I saved up for a new laptop, so now I am officially rolled for $10NL.

About Me: I'm a 27 year old car salesman from good 'ole Arkansas that has been playing poker since college. I considered myself a good player back then because I was pretty successful at home cash games but never did well online. I was the typical "OMG, I'm going to deposit $50 and play two tables of $25NL!" Obviously bankroll management was something I didn't exercise. Thanks to this forum I have picked up so much information about the game. I am still pretty wet behind the ears but what I know should be sufficient for beating these stakes.

I will be playing $10NL 6max primarily with a few sessions of $1/$2 NL live. I have a casino that is about 15 minutes away that is so soft it's a joke. It has really made me second guess why I even mess with online play at all. I could just be running good but I will continue to have a live session every week or two. Here are my results for this year playing 1/2 live.

My Goals: I would like to move up stakes as fast as possible to where I can be comfortably rolled for $50NL by the end of the year. I will also be watching several videos from Deucescracked and post hands in this thread and in the Micro Forum.

Current Bankroll: $331.04

Thanks to anyone that follows!

Almost forgot the saver!

Just finished my first session of the challenge. I must admit, it was pretty swingy. I'm just glad to get out with a profit. I'll post the graph below. Also, check out the hand I'm posting. Pretty sick brag. Take care!

Well I've been playing pretty poorly lately. I seem to be having a hard time letting go of top pair good kicker type hands. Also I have been bluff-catching a little too much as well. I did manage to cash in a donkament for $27 the other day. Here is a graph showing my current results. Pretty piss poor.

I'm going to focus on tightening up my range and folding to 3bets from solid regs with mediocre holdings. Here are my current stats so far. Any analysis would be much appreciated.

Thank God for rakeback and bonuses!

I finally got off of monkeytilt and started playing like I should've been all along. I've had a few really good sessions the last couple days that involved some huge pots. Here is an updated graph:

Cashed in another donkament for $16 so that always helps! I have tagged several hands that I'm going to be posting in the uNL thread to get some advice on. Thanks again to anyone following!

Had a pretty good day today. Was able to dig myself out of a hole I created by making a few -EV plays but my overall EV has been +. Can't run good all the time . Here is a hand from earlier today that ended up being a monster. Also, once my BR reached $400 I decided to take shots at $20NL. If I drop 5 BI's I'm going back to $10NL. Thanks again for following.

This villian's WTSD was 89% so I knew he had a hard time folding so I decided to ship turn. Definitely not the best play for every situation but I felt I'd get a call with any Q or two pair. Which I did.

I haven't been able to put in the kind of volume I'd like lately. I've finally grinded my way up to being a break-even player. I know this isn't impressive by any means but thanks to rakeback and bonuses I'm showing a decent profit.

For some reason I am finding that the field is softer at $20NL than $10NL on the site I play at. I just hope when Revolution implements the "Fair Play" technology that it doesn't hurt things for the better players.

I've been watching several videos from DC and am learning as I go. Thanks again to anyone, if anyone, that follows.

Had a terrible day yesterday and went on a 7 BI downswing. It was a combination of coolers that then transformed into megatilt. I was however able to grind back into the black. I am beginning to love small pocket pairs! These are a couple of hands from my latest session.
