Around 18 months ago I got into poker.

I experimented with SNG's, nl cash and double or nothing SNG's for a couple of months without much success (pretty standard for a new player).

Then I found a game I did pretty well in, Limit holdem. I dived straight into 6max limit .25/.50, played 10k hands in a month (which felt like a TON working full time and being new to poker) I watched Passing the torch series on DC, and learnt a lot about limit holdem, whilst really enjoying watching the series.

My .25/.50 6max limit graph

I moved upto .50/1 and brokeven over 10k hands (which again, felt like a big grind wheras it's a tiny sample in reality)

So now I got to get my act together, put my head down and learn how to 'grind' some good volume. The problem i've had until now is that i've been chopping and changing between different games and sites, not focusing on one gametype and having silly thoughts like 'the games arnt beatable anymore' etc.

Recently i've been pretty tight money wise so I had to withdraw all of my bankroll, however I was lucky enough and very greatful to recieve a 'staking' bankroll from a good friend who believes in me which as 1.) boosted my confidence and 2.) set me on a mission to build my BR up to never withdraw again (until it's very significant).

So here we go, i'm going to work on my homegame 6max limit holdem and see how high I can go with it. Starting off at .25/.50. Perhaps I will try other games in the future when my BR is a lot bigger but for now, it's all about becoming an excellent 6max Limit player and seeing just how high I can go.

I'm going to play MTT's with my FPP's, so I have shot's at the big money and it changes things up nicely.

Starting Bankroll $213.44

Onwards and upwards IMO

First Update:

Had a -40bb downswing at the start of my session, but pulled back and ended up +$16.20 :-)

Also, used 210 FPP's to enter a 1/4 $million satellite and managed to qualify on the 2nd attempt so I got that to look forward to on Friday - top prize of £39.5k!
