Hi. Long story short I played online poker in early 2010s and and then had other jobs. from 2021 i start playing again (PLO this time), but not for a living. i have ~200k hands from 2021 until now at plo (5plo-50plo) and now i will have some free time (entire summer) and want to give it a shot. the plan is to play at least 200plo by the end of summer so poker will become my first source of income and to be able to "turn pro".
I will start with 1500$ roll at plo25 and my plan is to take shot when i have 50bi for higher stake (move down if i lose 10bi). Ex: shots at plo50 with 2500$ roll, shots at 100plo with 5000$ roll etc.
Why post here? I want to focus on study and i want to find a stable or an individual who can stake&coach me and help me move up in stakes. i see a lot of staking offers on this forum (those on soft games on apps looks v interesting), but i am interested in a stable with coaches or a staker who can also coach me. why? first i dont want to get stake 25plo (as i have the roll for it), second i dont want to get a coaching for profit deal (is a freeroll for the coach... if i beat the game he wins, if i loose i get kick out from the deal). and also an individual who can coach me (or a stabel) can help me move higher in stakes quicker (he can stake me on higher limit if he sees i can beat that limit, but i cant play a higher limit until i have the proper roll).
results so far (most of it in 2021):
- stars: ~3bb/100 at plo 25 (sample only 40k hands) normal tables
- stars: 2,65bb/100 5plo-25plo combined (around 90k hands) normal tables
- Ipoker: ~15bb/100 ev (30bb/100 no ev. running hot ) ) plo10 and plo20 euros combined (only ~25k hands)
*losing a little on zoom tables (i played to complete some stars challenge. big mistake... 4 zoom tables at once).
*i will post graphs and results if this thread will have some visitors, or if i find a staker/stable (and want me to post here, not only to send them in private)
study: i have plomastermind subscription (had rio elite last year, but i stoped playing for a while and now i want to try plomastermind too and i kind of like it more)
Plan: to have good sample at 25-50plo and find a staker/stable who can move me up in stakes quicker. Play 200plo until the end of summer so i dont get back to my old job .
i dont know how regulary i will post here, but i want to update this thread to gain exposure and find study groups, stables, coaches, etc

Lost like 15bi, got a coaching session with a coach who pointed some leaks and then i win it all back at 10 and 25plo, took a shot at the 109$ main event yesterday and got eliminated AAxx v JJxx on 772 flop and he hit the jack on the turn (so i can still have some hopes for the river ) ). plan is to study some plomastermind for couple of days and reduce volume (i have subscription and i want to get the most of it) and then the plan is to put in some volume at 25plo and get another coaching session. after coaching i played some 5c plo too and did ok. i think i will pay more attention on 5c plo as most of stakers/coaches offer deals on soft apps for 5c plo too. i think i will start to post graph/results starting from june (i think ) )

Still trying to find a good strategy for agg shots taking (a strategy that does not include blowing off my roll ) so i can escape micros quick.

because i want to find a staker who can get me into apps or a coach/staker who can help me move quicker in stakes, i will start posting results and update this thread from time to time. all the stakers that i have spoke to ask me to have relevant volume with good wr on 25plo at least so i will start posting here my volume and results.
first i want to post the graph from last year (played more for fun) and then post the graph after i bought plomastermind sub + a coaching session (both worked togheter, but the coaching session really helped me to understand the exact portion of my game that i need to work on). after i go to 50plo i will buy more coaching sessions (if i will not find a person who is willing to stake and coach me at the same time).

red line shows that my tendencies clearly changed. and if i didn't had a session where i lost 4-5bi on red line (because some things are reflexes and will take some time to get rid of them), i think the graph would be even sexier

so maybe this is the way to take shots ). funny that now i am not losing anymore on mtts lifetime. weeee (who knew that i needed to play plo mtt to recover my nlhe mtt loses ) )

also played a session of 5 card plo on ggpoker and i like it, but on pokerstars (where i play most of my volume) i dont really like those 5 card plo games. maybe better games on higher stakes

so i will try more 5 card plo on ggpoker, but for now i have mission on pokerstars (40%rb) so i dont think i will play soon on ggpoker

My june results so far

i did not decide yet if i will post results weekly or monthly. volume is bad this month because i took shot at some mtts and did not stick to the plan (i played some nlhe mtts, not only plo mtts wich were in my planned shot ) ). but i will try to play only big events mtts so i can put some more volume on cash tables. i am still studying a lot so the volume cant be that high yet, but i think it is a good idea to study more at low stakes and play more volume when you move up

even tho i run pretty bad under ev, i think i need to work in some spots where i just choose to GII and flip or have something like 40%+ eq instead of floating flop and take the pot on turns and rivers or fold turns etc...
note to self 1: dont play more than 2 zoom tables because u miss a lot of spots where vill is in autofold mood and you dont help him to fold ), or u just auto fold in some spots where u shouldnt
note to self 2: if u dont want to have a session with -5bi red line just dont fkn play shty hands from EP and end up playing a multiway pot with shty hands which are gonna fold a lot postflop!!!
i just dont like zoom, but it helps me to implement standard moves faster into my strategy. there are some standard spots which require auto bet, auto check, etc, but for now i need to think some time what is the correct move and i just want to play a lot of those spots faster so they will became reflexes and spend time thinking on other parts of the hand. because there are more regs, i think i will play at least 20k hands at plo10 zoom to be sure i have good winrate and then i will play plo25 zoom too.

this is only plo25 this month. i dont know how standard it is in plo to run 11bi under ev in 4k hands (as i am studying and read forums this is pretty standard), but it is v frustrating. it will just make me party harder when i will run 11bi over ev (i hope :|) )

Did not update because i made some stupid decisions. I played zoom and study is near zero. Break even-ish this month till now, but i will reset and i will post graph at end of the month (with zoom losses too ) )
Updated plan:
-study: 1-2 hours/day. I am still looking for study groups. For now i will finish plo puzzle and galfond’s this is plo course (it is for hu tho, but i think i will find good info)
-play: 4-5 hours daily. Reg tables 25plo
-brm: after every 40k hands i will see what is the bankroll and i will take shots with 20% of it (higher plo stake, mtts, etc). I will do this after every 40k hands. At 2500$ start play 50plo. For now i have money for living expenses, but after august-sept i will cash out all rakeback after every 40k hands. I dont cash out rakeback for now because i want to move to 50plo and then 100plo as quick as possible.
Staking update:
-only recieved a offer for 6c plo, but i dont play 6c plo (only some small sample on 5c plo) so it didnt happen.
-still interested for a stable or individual who can offer staking and coaching and promise to move me up in stakes when i prove i beat 25plo (or 50plo if the offer occurs when i will already play 50plo)

so june update and plan for july:
after my first month in testing waters/study/etc plo i reach the following conclusions:
-every time i play 2 zoom tables redline is good and i win
-every time i play more than 2 zoom tables, redline goes down and i loose (win at 10plo, but the field is so soft that i can turn up a good bb/100 even with bad redline and bad playing)
-every time i play more than 4 reg tables or combine reg tables+zoom redline goes down and i play bad
so no point in playing just 2 zoom tables and not 4 reg tables (the volume will be higher, bur at reg tables winrate is better so i will stick to that)
also win almost 1k in plo mtts on ggpoker and stars this month (and another 2k score last month)
after some cash outs bankroll is 2300$ for july (2k for grind and 300$ for shots). as i am curious i will shot the 300$ on an app at 50plo or even at 100plo buy in short if game is good (it is a shot so i can yolo my 300$ ) ). if the shot is going well i will keep playing the up until i make ~1k profit, if not i will try to play 30k hands at reg tables this month.
playing 50plo until the start of august is doable (maybe an upswing when i take shot on app, or just good run on reg tables). not sure yet when to play 50plo tables on stars and gg, at 2.5k bankroll or 3k bankroll.
finish plo puzzle and this is plo from runitonce (played a couple of mtts this last week and they consume a lot of hours so i did not study enough
and now the graphs for june. so obv when i play more than 2 zoom tables or reg+zoom that the redline is going str8 down and i play bad (hope to learn from this and stick to 4 reg tables in july)

Short on updates. One of my goals is to find a stable/individual who cand give cfp or staking + coaching and i see it is hard to find one without good plo50 sample. So i will be more active with blog when i have good plo50 sample
