So, here we go again. Failed my last attempt at this (went busto, some things came out so couldn't play), time to try it out again. I really hope this is the last attempt at this, because it just... Feels stupid. After every fail something new hits my head, I think this time the right thing hit. All the time I was playing I was slacking on my game studies. Why study when you can play amirite?
Why play when you can only play NL2?
This is the question I asked myself a lot recently. From now on I will try to put in studying in my DAILY routine, not just "meh, ok, i'll do it". I already have some daily goals set in my head, which will swim out into my weekly goals. No monthlies so far, because what can you know.
My daily goals for now (will be increased if I feel like I need to, I really doubt that I'll need to decrease them):
[ ] - put in 1 hour of studying [ ] (PURE studying) (no skype, no facebook in the background - NOTHING)
So far for this goal I'll review my marked hands, the hands that I won/lost the most, read the COTW's and all the other stuff I find on 2p2, I'll also try to post some hands both here and in the appropriate forum place, and will try to comment other people hands.
[ ] - put in 1500 hands [ ]
This isn't too much, since I 2 table zoom, and I manage to get 650 hands per hour, so the play:study ratio will be at something like 2.5:1 which I think is really fine. I might put in more hands per day but I'm not sure about the studying though!
[ ] - keep distractions off when playing
This is pretty obvious IMO, but for me this is something to work on. After some playing I just like, automatically, open chrome and go on youtube or facebook, and then you know what happens.
Weekly goals (also can be increased, these will be a bit bigger than added 7 days of dailies just to push myself a little bit harder):
[ ] - put in 8 hours of study [ ] (I know I'll have to pump this one up by a lot, I just want to see how it feels to put in the time purely on it, how fast it goes through etc etc)
[ ] - play 12k hands [ ]
[ ] - keep atleast 5/7 days playing without distractions [ ]
I think this wall of text will be enough for now, first update will be later today (today atleast at my timezone, as it's past midnight now), wish you all good luck at the tables!
