Hello all! So, I decided to ditch HUSNG's (can't handle it), and I decided to start playing cash (probably zoom, not sure still tho). I'm TOTALLY green on it, so I'll track all my progress here and we'll see what will turn out of this. I'm making this thread for self motivation on studying, putting in volume and such, because I could get lazy otherwise. Right now I'm chopping down text theory and things, later on I plan to get a subscription on website like DC to watch videos.

Thread-wise, I'll make myself weekly goals starting next week (it's thursday already so I don't think it's worth starting this week), and maybe some bigger monthly goals, just to keep my chin up.

Right now I'll be on a pretty aggro BR, will start with 20$, I WILL be able to redeposit if needed, but I'll try as hard as possible not to do it. I'll add in one table of next level starting at 15ish BI, and will try to totally move there (unless I'll feel uncomfortable during shots) at 20BI. Might get nittier later, but since it's micros, who the hell cares.

I'll make daily updates, starting today (will do it in a few hours).

Thanks for reading and good luck at the tables!

Sooo... First day of my zoom "grind" has come to an end. I could say that the whole day was "What the hell is this? What the hell is that? Why on earth would he do that?" day, but it was pretty nice overal. Got some hands to review, so I think it's pretty cool. Made a pretty rough suckout at the start of the day (it should not have happened, i called totally accidentally and hit my 2 outer on the river), but no more talking, here's the graph.

Well, my roll grew by 70%, so if I do that daily, I'll be rich in no time, haha.

Bankroll: 34.34$
Change: +14.34$
Weekly change: +14.34$

That's it for now, I'm hoping that tomorrow day will be the same or even better!

Finished another day of playing! Feeling really nice, even though the day hasn't been the best one, I'm still up by a TINY bit, but that tiny bit is something too. Really struggling with my premiums, it's nice and all to get them, but when in the end all you do is steal blinds with them 90% of the time it sucks. Well, I think that will turn around sooner or later, atleast I hope so, they have to start NOT to respect my raises.

Graph of today (damn that redline was so nice but I got kinda tired on the end of play):

Bankroll: 34.43$
Change: +0.09$ (holla holla get dolla)
Weekly change: +14.43$

Thanks for reading (those that are reading), and wish you all gl at the tables!

Now, onto today... Ugh... Well... Erm...

I feel like a complete utter piece of **** just because I'm in the green today. This might turn into a small rant, but what can I do. The day started out EXTREMELY rough, cooler, cooler, terrible runout, cooler, and I see myself being down 12$. After that the whole day was a rollercoaster. I flop nuts, they're bluffcathchers by the river over and over again, well, you know those days. I know it's not just the bad CD/run, it's also my play, and I'll try to talk about it too.

I don't remember having THIS feeling when I played HUSNG's. I want to look at my game. Like, sit down, open PT4, and just analyze it. The thing is, I feel like I'm just BLEEDING chips in 3bet pots (calling too light, being too aggressive in them, etc.), and I think that those pots together with AIPF's are the moneymakers in cashgames, so I feel like my game has to be diamond in that spot. Just ran a small filter with (called 3bet pre & saw flop) and I'm down 2BI's there, which I think is HUGE. I basically feel like making money by flipping with AIPF's, or just getting really lucky (today hands 1700-1800 were something like that, hit 3 sets in that time, all of them got paid off good). So, tomorrow I'll try to work on my 3bet pre and postflop game!

Anyway, busted 1st hand in the 100k$ added shootout (sucks), and took some "rakeback" (bought in 2 70FPP 6max's for 3.3$, binked one, went for 2 1,5$ HUSNG's, binked one, so 3$ rakeback from 140FPPS, almost SN level I guess ).

Bankroll: 40.04$ (doubled!)
Change: +5.61 (thought I'll be down BIG today)
Weekly change: +20.04$

That's it for today, good luck at tables y'all! Could wish myself that too. I guess I'll have to start posting TS's soon, have no idea about that though.

I play 2 tables of zoom 6max. Yea, I might be overaggro, but I feel like it's sometimes the thing I need, not sure tho. I don't bluff for stack though.

E: I have amped down my aggression in 3bet pots now, because I was just stupidly aggresive in them yesterday, which caused me to lose a LOT of moneys.

Update time!

A VERY sexy and awesome day. Feeling great about my game, flipped some at the start (doing really good at them, gotta stop though), later on just ran nice. Hands 2600-2800 I just smiled and shrugged my shoulders when I was losing one 60-40 situation after another, because I knew it had to come some time, because I'm still heavily above EV (around 10BIs). Had some pretty funny hands (will dig one up), otherwise the day was really chilled and calm, EXCEPT ONE THING.

I think it's not hard to guess what's that. Yep, that's my "wins" with AA today. I finished my last session with AA, just because I got it again, raised, all folded, almost punched the screen out (tilted me like hell).

Now onto the graph...

The thing I love the most about this is the volume! The day was really rainy so I just chilled in my room mixing dota and poker.

Now the hand that I talked about...

Valuebetting 9 high is standart. (I KNOW I SHOULD NOT HAVE RAISED THIS (preflop obv))

Loving to see that bankroll grow! If everything goes smooth tomorrow (atleast 2k hands), I should be able to clear my 1000 VPPs stellar bonus, which will boost my BR by 10$, and I'll start looking forward to my shot at NL5. Really looking forward to it, I hope it goes well.

Another day in the books! Wooo!

Today... Haha. Idk whether I should feel awesome or sad, but I was bullying all the guys out there at the tables. I couldn't hit anything of mine, so I made sure that even if they did, they would hate it. Making redlines ftw (played my C game the last 700 hands (mentally tired)).

20 VPPs off 10$'s, will get it tomorrow!

So, forgot it yesterday, time for my weekly goals.

    Goals (07-01 -- 07-07):

    Play 13k hands: 1723 (pace 1857)
Finish up reading articles from a strategy website. Will just type every day how much I've read and how much is left. Haven't read any today, been searching for nice 3bet pot play articles. Maybe someone knows some?
Move up to 5NL (this one really depends on how good/bad I run when I take a shot at them, the shot should be taking place in a pair of days, so probably wednesday).

    --------------------

Haven't got any more ideas for now, will come up with some for the next weeks!

Bankroll: 53.22$ (PT4 missed some hands because I started disconnecting and it missed some, one in which I lost 1.5$ vs an overpair)
    Change: +1.74$
    Weekly change: +1.74$

The change is pisspoor imo, should have done a lot better .

That's it for today, really don't feel like writing a long text of wall, will go to sleep and crush the **** out of NL2 tomorrow! Gl at the tables!

Meh. Won't write too much because I don't want to turn this into a boohoo thread. Today doesn't hurt too much because I've got the 10$ reward, but still. Every nice hand on the flop was a bluffcatcher at best on the river. Top of the ranges every hand. Premiums lose to sets. Blah blah blah. Meh.

    Weekly goals:

Play 13k hands: 4144 (pace 3714 (well ahead, I guess I put up too little hands in the goal))
Finish up reading articles from a strategy website: Chopped down through half of the leftovers today. Only reading them to get familiar with the phrases and such, that haven't been used in sng's, not a lot of strong info in them though.
Move up to 5NL. (I really start doubting myself regarding this, because... I'm not sure I'm beating NL2... My EV is actually negative.)

    Bankroll: 52.68$
Change: -0.54$ (hmph, less than I expected)
    Weekly change: +1.2$

I play 6max. I rarely raise just to steal blinds, I just do some simple postflop stuff like bet on scarecard or a really drawy board and they end up folding a lot, also I use too big betsizes sometimes so they fold with 1-2$ in. Not that hard in NL2, I doubt I'll be able to keep it up in higher levels though, balancing ranges and ****.

E: Starting last session right now, and will update, hopefully in the green today.

Lol. Last session was the dagger.

It started at hand 2600. I won't say anything. Yesterday I played loose. Lost. Today I play tight. Lost. Yes, I do make some stupid plays(calls mostly), but other spots are just pathetic. I did nice in volume though, should be pretty happy about that I guess.

I feel like the games are much better in the mornings (I live at GMT+3), because they're more loose then, and now it's all like:

I'm actually considering to just resit the table when I get deep, because it feels strange to play at like 400BB, and it gets really hard to make moves when you're up against such a stack too, even a set doesn't feel that solid. I feel like that's a bad thing, but I think that it'd turn out better for me.

Just as in my reply to your PM, I don't feel like I'm crushing it, I don't even feel like I'm a winner there anymore.

Downswings happen. You're still up and you can't expect every day to be a winner. The volume is nice, but stopping at the right time is just as important as putting in a lot of volume. Had you stopped at 3k hands, you'd have ended with profit. It looks like part of the volume was sending good money after bad. Ride the highs, avoid the lows, just like surfing.

Lol. I just lost 12BI in a day playing NL2. Can I get a reward now for being the worst poker player out there? Anyway, I'm pretty happy about it, because the days I was losing before I was mad/sad and all and today... I just don't care. I know it's bad that I don't care that I just blew half of my roll, but still... Day started out sweet, taking some nice pots, but then I lost with a flush and a straight AT THE SAME TIME ON 2 TABLES and things just went... Nuts from there. It was like 60% my terrible play 40% bad luck.

I won't follow the thing I said yesterday, I WILL keep playing, if I go bust I'll reload. I know I can beat this **** and I WILL beat this so hard that I'll instantly get into pokerstars pro team.

I'm altering between playing styles, which one works best, etc etc, today at the end of the session I was trying to play 90% fit or fold postflop, it didn't work out too well, I (in my opinion) bleeded money chasing draws, but I can't fold a flushdraw on the flop, right? Well, I'll keep on testing things out, good thing this doesn't hurt as much as it could.

I don't know if this thing is good or not to look at, but this is how I've been running since the start of the thread:

This morning the straight line was close to the flush line, and today I ran "good" with straights, winning a whooping 2$. I guess that's what the pros live for. Haha.

      Onto the other things:

      Goals:

      Play 13k hands: 10457 (pace 7428)
Finish up reading articles from a strategy website: Done with these, will try to find the COTW's that are not as advanced now.
Move up to 5NL: if I pull this one off (100$ BR), I'll make a lottery or something for you guys for like 10$, but... You know... 3 days 80 dollars...

Hello! Finally a winning day today! Also got some hands (will probably try to get some from now on). Felt really good about my play today, that redline could have been higher though, only realised some obvious spots after the hands were over .

      Graph:

Wubwubwub. Day started just as yesterday did, but everything turned around, fish started paying me off with 3rd pair and stuff, and I wound up a profit! Volume is sad though, went out for the day, so only played 1.2k hands in the morning and some before the football game.

      Handsss:

Ma biggest winning hand today. I would normally play this in some other manner (like getting it in preflop), but I had a note that he pays off really light and he was 61/38/17, so I planned to GII on the flop if I hit something like a nice draw or my A or K.

Lol. Busto. Couldn't connect to a single flop, and when I did, I was dominated. Will reload in the run of few days.

Aaaaaaaaand I'm back again! Starting with 20$ again (I don't want to start with more, because it'd make the gap between NL2 and NL5 smaller, idk if I want to move up there asap or not). Won't do a lot of talking today, feeling extremely tired, must be the heat (we had a few weeks of 15-20C~ and now it's 30 for the 3rd day), atleast I can feel the summer now!

              Graph of the day:

Uuuugh, everything was so nice, then I decided to do another session. BAM.

Still in the green, so it's nice.

About the volume... I started 4 tabling. I feel like I miss some spots where I could take down the small pot with 2 barrels or such, but generally it forced me to tighten up, which I think is a better thing in the long run, and I'll need to learn to 4table soon anyway, so why not do it at NL2? When I'll move up limits I'll start from 2 tables.

              Hands:

Only got a single hand. This is the reason of the big bump on my redline.

The villain was REALLY aggressive, 30% 3bet, infinite agg on both flop and turn, and no aggression on the river. Flopped nice, but decided to continue on the turn just to possibly take down the pot on the river. And it worked! Haha.

                Goals for the week:

Decided to give a lot more hands for myself because I'm mixing in 4 tables now, so it shouldn't be hard to even get this!

Will try to keep track of this on daily and whole week basis.

                Change: 5.40$
                Weekly change: 5.40$

That's it for today, GL at the tables!
