My Journey Through The Levels. My Journey Through The Levels.

Hi everyone. My name is Ivan and I come from Italy. I have been playing poker for several years, achieving excellent results up to the mid stakes and 4/5k in MTT low stakes. After a break I decided to start grinding again starting from NL 2 to get to the mid stakes and to help me in this adventure I decided to open a blog on 2+2. Let me introduce myself, I am a university boy, with many passions, in particular music and cinema. I study International Relations and European Studies and have been living in my home country for a year, I left my university town to help my father who is fighting cancer. I'm a curious guy, lover of good music that I will post along with my poker sessions. I love meeting new people and making new friends all over the world.
I decided to open this blog for several reasons: to focus on objectives, to maintain consistency, to receive advice from people who are better than me and learn from them, to also talk a little about myself. The challenge started on January 1st, with 15 BY of NL2, with a fairly aggressive bankroll management, upon reaching 75 euros I added a table of NL5, at 100 2, at 125 3 at 150 full nl5, with 2 zoom tables and 4 6max. Today I reached the bankroll needed to shoot nl 10 and I'm very happy about it. I hope you follow my blog, give me lots of advice to improve myself and have fun with this little life diary.

The piece I chose for today is a true masterpiece, Take Five by the Dave Brubeck Quartet Live in Belgium, 1964

Hey Ivan,

It looks like everything is going according to plan for you. The results at 2-5nl look great!

When using an aggressive bankroll, I recommend avoiding Zoom tables because these tables have lower expectations than regular tables where we can use select.
This way you can reduce variance fluctuations and speed up your progress.

This is a good article about Zoom: https://www.mobiuspoker.com/blog/stop-playing-zoom

Buona Fortuna on your poker journey!

Hey Slyless, Thanks for posting this article, I found it really interesting! Given that the action on the micro zooms is almost zero, as is the hourly earnings, it is actually much better to focus on the regular ones. In the end I think bb/100 can benefit from it!
Thank you for wishing me good luck, I appreciate it very much!

Here's today's update. First session mixing nl5 (3 tables) and nl10 (1) continuing with the strategy I set from the beginning.

Bad day yesterday, I won, of course, but I think I delivered the worst poker of the year, I played badly in at least 25 spots.
Really frustrating considering the level I'm playing at and the game expressed in the previous days was much better.

today definitely better than yesterday, I also played fewer hands. Another 10 euros in the bankroll and I will be able to play 2 nl10 tables! I also widened my opening and tribet ranges, although perhaps I could play a wider range
