hey, this is andrew. ran into you at harrah's last week (assuming this is you since not many chicks play at sands). i found out one of my friends did cash a tournament at the winter open so apparently it is possible to do.

i got really drunk that night after a huge 5/T session at borg and won a few ground luckboxing drunk 1/2 at harrahs with >60% vpip. more likely to win a few K that way than in a tourney imo.

thread is a good read and gl. if this isn't who i'm thinking of, whooops and gl regardless.

Basically he can never have aa/kk pf but those hands are all in my range. If i c/r the river huge there is nothing else I rep other than aa/kk. My overall line would make sense too with those hands. There's more to it but id say that's the gist. I would have to be sure, and I think i am, that he is good enough to lay down a flush or even trips here because my image is really good/nitty and he would never think im bluffing him with such a big raise.
why would you check the river?

Oh, so you mean depolarized from both ends. No bluffs and no nutty hands. Very weird to overbet that kind of range imho. Also very tough to be sure of such a read. But if you are then C/R is good.

You stand to make more money to c/r.
Basically he will bet a wider range of hands than he would call if you bet.

I flat a wizard's utg open in mp1. The lag 3 bets to 200ish over 2 more callers from the bb. The wizard tank calls. I 4 bet to 750. Everyone folds and the lag ships for almost 2k. Wizard folds and I snap with KK My Journey in Live Mid-High Stakes mhig.

I love building history with other regs like this because they so often misuse it to my advantage.

So guys what should I do!

I have technically 2 weekend sessions left in the month and so far Im actually up a decent amount for the month. Should i just arbitrarily cut the month off now so the weekend sessions will go towards next month on the books?

As you guys might recall i have been in a downswing for the last 5 months so i am wondering if it's better psychologically to "book a win" rather than risk a huge losing session this weekend and feel like im having a downswing for the 5th month in a row

Day? Week? Month? Year? It's all one long session.

Only take a break unless you want to for a tangible reason.

Sorry if i wasnt being clear - im playing this weekend regardless - only question is for accounting purposes - to "cheat" and book an early win this month or dont end the month until the 31st and properly book a winning month.

Might be playing in big games this weekend (like T/25 again if the right players show up) so i dont want to feel scared money from potentially having a 5th losing month

I see.

It's your book. End "Jan" earlier if you want to. Plus February is a month short on days anyway.

Well... early Romans didn't even believe in January - so I say take any liberty you want with the calendar

That's an excellent point! And january is longer and started with a weekend.

I should blance the days in the two months as to even out variance

Breaking your results into specific chunks of time is completely arbitrary. If it helps from a mental perspective, book the winning month and count your results this weekend towards February. You're not cheating anyone by doing so, and will be heading into your next session without playing "scared".
