Thanks a lot (:
It's really hard to give any single tips to improve red line since it comes from the overall game and some random things could just make you play worse than before.

Spoiler:
But anyway bluff a lot and never fold = good red line..

Nah haven't watched any videos in a long time. Two eBooks that helped me most when I went pro were Let there be range (probably overpriced nowdays) and Small stakes holdem by Ed Miller (only $30). It was almost 3 years ago when I read those but there is probably still valuable info even though games have developed.

Have you ever lost confidence in your game after 25bi+ downswings during your career ?
My biggest mental problem regarding poker is by far my loss of confidence after downswings. I've been a winning player at NL200 for a large sample and recently moved up to 2/4 and 3/6 (I played some before with about BE results), but my confidence is almost shattered after any downswing.

Do you have any ambitions to crush the highest NLHE games? You are not playing on PS, thats where the toughest games are, moving there in the future? You started playing 200/400 games, are those really harder in comparison to 25/50, 50/100 games? How much do you think you can still improve as a player?

Why would anyone want to play with better opponents ?

Generally speaking, playing against better opponents on occasion will improve your game a ton but I don't think Giev has to worry about that - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I've had couple of downswings that have made me think "damn I suck and play bad" which have made me play worse. At some point the ds have always stopped so far though.. Just gotta grind through it.

1. Not really tbh.
2. No, won't play at PS becase of tax reasons.
3. 100/200 and 200/400 almost never runs but when they do the players are pretty much same as 25/50 so no, not harder.
4. A lot.

I think I read somewhere in the topic that you said something like "while I didnt know what was I doing " and then when you progressed as a player and go higher and higher you again mentioned sth like "from that point on I knew what I was doing in specific spots etc etc".

I mean it might be a silly question but I find myself just too many times in spots where I dont know where am I at or dont have any further plans since "I dont know what am I doing".

Maybe if you have time would you comment specific hand against particular villain where you know what you were doing. And then put yourself in a shoes where you wouldnt know what were you doing, for the same hand OFC.

and BTW the thread is FANTASTIC, keep crushing

Hi Giev Money, a real eye opener to have read your journal, I guess the military helped give you the discipline and courage needed to succeed in this way, or maybe you already had that spirit, good you came out alive!

hope this question is not too off topic.

I've been playing around a year but not taken it too seriously. I started playing 6 max games a few months ago as I find the full ring games to boring, plus I feel that I can get much better reads and get in to more of a zone in 6max.

I feel that if I really took on poker I would definitely have to multitable so as to get in the volume.

I've just started experimenting with pt3 and understand all (most) of the stats. But I still feel very uncomfortable multitabling. My game feels completely obliterated because I lose sight of all the reads and history of the table and mine and my opponents table images/ranges.

How do you get past this?

Is it much more about creating a strategy and basing decisions on stats and player notes?

your priceless advise would be much appreciated

keep up the good work!

I apologize for the accidental back-to-back double post.

Was trying to "edit".. add a paragraph to make it easier to understand. I will be more careful in the future.

Would not mind if the moderator deleted the first one. Post: #2194

Hey!

Had a question about your play. As good as you are, do you still do mistakes during the game, I mean like calling dumb spots in river, going broke preflop too loose? Trying to Call 3bets/4bets and play back?

Or your frequency of the mistakes is rather small, just those where you get called very loose because of your style.
