I wouldn't suggest anyone to move here unless you know some people from Finland. Winter sucks so bad imo, go some place like Malta

When I started the thread I had $600k as you can see from the first post. Basically I started from free $50 years ago and I had around $20k bankroll when I went pro.

Actually I suck very very much at quitting. But then again I don't tilt very easily. I think there have been one time this year when I had to quit even the game was good since I was so tilted.

I check HEM every now and then mostly to see how many hands I've played so far. (Since I know pretty well if I'm up or down without looking HEM)

Great job on the accomplishment. One I'm sure a lot of people will dream of achieving.

Just have a few questions for now.

As you moved through the ranks, starting with your $50. What changed along the way? Did you play the players more than just the cards since I'm under the vague assumption that the higher you move, the amount of players in that limit are smaller and you know their tendencies more. What did you change about your game, if anything at all along this process.

Well I was a TOTAL fish when I started to play online with the $50.. For example I remember that when I played NL25 (which was the smallest game I could play then I think..?) I liked to bet $0.75 on every street no matter what hand I had I remember how some reg told me that I shouldn't let him draw so cheaply etc That was when I played online for the first times.. Ofc after that I started to learn the game so pretty much everything changed along the way.

Spoiler:
Good thing that I ran probably hotter than sun and everyone sucked back then.

Today was pretty interesting day..

[x] Played some PLO5k
[x] Played some shallow NL40k (less than 100 hands and lost only 4k)
[x] Tilted pretty hard
[x] Broke my embody chair's armrest
[ ] Managed to stop playing since I clearly wasn't playing my A-game
[x] Got my **** together and ran a bit better so ended up having a winning day

Hi Giev, you'll get out of your downswing soon. Just play through it because we all know you're a 6-max monster.

I have a strat question for you that I've been running into the past 2 weeks. The past 2 1/2 months I've been working my way up from 4nl to 50nl on Merge and I have noticed the most noticeable change in jumping from 25nl to 50nl was that the regs all 3/4/5 bet a ton. What is the best way to combat this, I've tried a lot of different things and have different results. 4-betting light doesn't seem to work well because a lot of regs just 5-bet shove light. I was playing 26/22 at 25nl but have scaled it back down to 22/19 at 50nl because I get 3-bet so much I want to have a stronger opening range. Is it a good idea to open up your 4b/c range up against overly aggressive regs or should I wait for value hands to stack them with when they 5-bet shove with A10o. Would it be a good idea to randomly flat 3-bets with junk in position with the intention to bluff post because they never have anything. Sorry if these questions are too general, just stuff I've been thinking about. Thanks!

personally i'd 4b and call shove with 88+ AQ+ if he has a small fold to 4b percentage (and also tighten up my 4b range vs them, do not do it with garbage).

also you could as you say flat the 3b in position. but you have to be very aware of how villain plays. cbet and turn cbet are very important. if he cbets the turn a lot, you have to bluff raise flops or turns to make this play profitable. but it's definetly doable. and also, when you hit, you have to be prepared to call down light.

apparently you can just cash out and transfer all your points and VIP status to the new site, but I don't know if you get to keep your existing deal with your pokeraffiliatesolutions account

Yes, the same deal will be available for Coral Poker: http://www.pokeraffiliatesolutions.c...t-closure.html

Affiliate accounts will hopefully be created in the middle to latter part of next week and then players can simply sign up through the links provided by your affiliate.

Regards,
Craig

Try Estonia ? Right near Finland, nice laws (no taxes on poker, easy to move in etc), cheap alcohol, ****load of parties, pretty women, ~ 1st on internet availability in the world and so on.. A lot of poker players have moved to Estonia already: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/92...tonia-1036074/

Question to OP:
Have you ever been to Estonia ? If you have, then why ?

E: And nice, 250k views in this thread. New challenge, make it 1M.

I don't drink alcohol so I really don't care about that. Estonia could be a nice option too.

Just finished reading through this ENTIRE THREAD! It twas.....awesome! Out of interest, did you quit playing 5/10 in the end or started paying more attention to those tables? - if so, have your results there improved since?

Seems to be a lack of regular poster's ultimate PG&C threads right now, make another 1 so I have somewhere to lurk when I'm bored,

GL with taking all the monies.

I didn't entirely quit playing 5/10 but I've been playing it a lot less. Probably 1-2k hands last month and 2k hands so far this month.
