Hi Berti!
That's a good idea for sure, but i already took some coaching hours from ITZ and i don't know, i fell like i can learn more if i spend this time by studying RYE alone for now, and since i've already paid for that i prefer to do it that way.
In a few months I should finish studying RYE and then I will look for a coach, and i will probably look for a ITZ coach so i can speak italian and learn more :P

So lets update!
Still no vacation, i'm grinding and studying a lot, and i'm enjoying it.
I'm not confortable with swings yet, first 2 days of grinding i had a good -1000€, yesterday i came back with a +1500€ session so i'm happier right now
i keep busting 10th or near the ft in all the 100s i play, if only i could have a good result in these tournaments i would be more peaceful about swings but hey, just keep grinding and studying, the result will come.

Results of yesterday:

i'm still playing abi 20 but i'm starting everything on stars above 10€, 250€ excluded.
Did i say i want to move? well i found a room in Malta for a month and a half starting from september, then i'll evaluate things!

New adventures are coming, can't wait!

Hey mate why did you decide to move out from Italy when you have one of the softest field at the moment? From what I've heard Italy field is really soft specially in MTTs.

Yeah i know games here are quite easy, can't disagree on that.
Still wanna move 'cause i wanna try the international field, i want to travel around the world in my life and i'm pretty sure i can't do that if i keep grinding abi 20
For now i could stay there and move up quicker given the easy games, but i'm going a month and a half to Malta because i can go with other 2 poker players ahead of me in their career and i think i can learn a lot of things, and i want to see new places aswell so I will take the opportunity.
i can keep grinding on the .it and mixing some .com games to test how it is, and in the meantime enjoy the sea

Hey guys!
I had an amazing 2 days!

Friday i went to the mountains with my cousin, we joined some friends and had a wild night at a beer party, danced with some drunk girls, went to sleep around 4 AM, no girls with us but even if there had been, i couldn't have done much with all that alcohol in my body.
We woke up around 10AM and came back home, and i decided it was time to grind!
I had my best session ever until now, + 2300€, i won everytime i went allin, it was really a great fu**ing session!

plus a lot of other final tables.

I was a little sad because the room i was planning to move in Malta is not available anymore so i'm thinking whether to move or not, maybe i'll do another year in Italy and evaluate again next year, i don't know, but that session really gave a boost to my mood.

Little milestone: since i started in october, abi 5, i won over 10k!

Next goal is to make at least 3k/month, which i think is possible otherwise i wouldn't have dropped my master.
See you and gl at the tables!

Well well well, here we are again.
Took almost a month off, i went one week to the sea with my friends, enjoyed the parties quite a bit.
As soon as i got home i left again for another week on the dolomites to try out my new heart valve, and i'm very happy to see that now i can last way way more when i exercise.

Now it's time to start the grind again, but first i have a good news.
On next tuesday i'm going to Malta for 4 days with another poker player to find a place to stay, and hopefully i will start my new adventure on october 1st.

I will make a post with all my new goals well listed in order to stay accountable and to motivate me, and in the beginning i will lower my ABI in order to avoid going broke, but i can't wait to begin my new adventure!

I leave you with a pic from my trips, those behind me are the three peaks of lavaredo, see you soon for the poker related updates!

Thank you mate!
I’m not going to Malta in the end, the other guy who came with me to find a house is an awesome person, but probably we're not suited to live together for a year and that’s it, so we aborted the research from the first day and just enjoyed a few days visiting Malta.
The place is really weird, i was expecting everything but that… Anyways it was funny and I gave a shot on my first live tournament.

New beginning
I could go somewhere to grind, but the main reason for leaving would be because i don't know if my dad (with who i live) will understand that i will put in the hours to study the game and grind, but **** that, i'm going to tell him tomorrow that poker is just like everything else in the world and that if you want to be at the top you have to work hard.
I'm probably staying at home with him until january and then i will evaluate again, hoping that the Italian government will let me move in south-east Asia.
I will obviously pay half the bills and everything until now, but i'm spending less in that way, and that's a good thing cause in the last 2 months i spent way to much on vacation and my BR slowly decreased.

So, my goals:
1) play 750 games/month consistently.
2) keep double digit evbb/100.
3) exercise 5 days a week.
4) study 6 days a week, 2 hours of new content.
5) review previous session marked hands before starting a new session.

Starting at abi 20, the goal is to increase that number :P
Gl to everyone, i'll try to update that thread weekly.

Thanks mate!
My policy is clear for the heads up deals, if i don't have the BR for playing an HU for all that money i just ask for the deal, i might lose something but that's the safest way i suppose.

Little recap:
After the last results update i swinged about 2k in august, but still closed the month with a 2k profit that wasn't bad at all considering that i didn't play that much:

In September the bad run continued, and i kept swinging a bit:
The last week anyways i recovered a bit, being down only 400 and not 1k+ it's not that bad...
The best bink of the last month is not even 500€, it explains a lot of things.

As i have already said, i had to lower my abi because of some real life expenses, and probably i will keep abi 15 and not 20 for the first month.
Now that the summary is done i can start with my weekly updates, aiming for the 750 games/month and all the other things.
See you in the next days, have a nice weekend!

1st week recap

Having a plan is a thing, sticking to it is another.
I played 5 sessions, and reviewed all marked hands before starting them (i mean, that point is quite easy if you don't mark hands when you play )
I did workout only one time and studied new content for 2 days, so i'm really disappointed, i have to learn how to stick to that plan.
I could set myself easier goals, but i think these are the minimum if i want to achieve something with poker, so i'll try again this week and see how it goes.

Speaking about the results, nothing exciting. basically a breakeven week:

Bink of the week:
It's the one above this post.

Gonna workout, eat, review some hands and then starting a big sunday session, GL at the tables, see you in the next days!

2nd week recap
Still having problems to stick to the plan, but something is changing...
6 sessions in a week, probably i should go down to 5 and use the extra free night to study, i have a lot of spots to look at.
Worked out only twice but that's ok since i didn't feel well for 2 or 3 days, but now i have recovered and i'm finally ready to go for the 5 days of workout per week.

Speaking about the study, i only did 3 study sessions of new material, but them lasted way more than 2 hours so i'm quite happy.
I also did a lot of simulations with hrc and reviewing a lot of hands.

the results haven't arrived yet, but at least i'm happy with the volume:

Result of the week:

I arrived short to the 3-handed phase, so i'm ok with the third place.

Ready for another week of work, good luck to me, and to everyone who read this

Nice read Michele! Looking forward to see your progress for the next months.

I am new here and starting to add this journalling and engaging with the community thing on my routine, since I think good habits is what will take us further on our carreer. Best of luck on your path, Cheers!

Thanks mate! Totally agree on the power of good habits, implementing them is the hard part, but after that everything should be fine :P

Week 3 recap
Until Thursday everything was fine, i studied the right amount and played my sessions, and that's my week.
My grandma passed away on friday, she had been sick for years and lately she didn't recognize anyone anymore so we were ready for that, but it was still painful.
Obviously i took a break from poker in order to stay with my family, it will last for a few more days.

Result wise, it was another breakeven week:

result of the week:

Hopefully next week will be better, gl to everyone and have a nice sunday!

Interesting couple things in here. Firstly with the family situation, maybe i've misread but ultimately you have to prove to your family that you are serious about playing poker full time. You can't just tell them, you have to show them.
When i first asked my mum if i could live at home and play poker full time she said no, so i took the money i had and moved out into my own place. After 6+ months of that she realised i was serious and it wasn't just a phase. Since then i have had periods living at home and playing poker full time.

Also with the goals, most of them look really good. Only thing i would change is bb/100. I'd recommend that you don't get fixated on bb/100 in MTTs, since there are plenty scenarios where it might be optimal to make -ChipEV plays (bounty hunting, icm scenarios).

Also sorry to hear about the family situation, i hope you are okay personally. Best of luck with poker, it looks like you've found a really cool niche of games that you can crush in. I think a really cool longer term goal is to become the best reg on the .it sites. If you ever want to talk hands just msg me on 2p2 or add me on discord.

Thanks for stopping by Swann, i always read your updates and i find your blog really inspirational.
Regarding the first point, i'm kind of trying to do that, but let's say that the downswing in the last 2 months isn't helping at all.
I'm still paying everything i have to and have a normal life, but if i move out i'd have to go down to abi 10 and that's not something i'm willing to do, so let's hope things change in a few months.
Totally agree on the second point aswell, i'm not going to be obsessed with that considering the amount of pkos i'm putting in.

Thanks for the thought for my family situation, really appreciate it!
And yeah, i've already joined your discord group, gonna join the conversation soon enough

Week 4
Strange week.
I took the first half off to stay with my family, enjoyed the time together, my cousins and i tried to cheer my grandpa and i think it worked just fine.
Then 3 evenings of poker and well, it was a disaster:

That's my first 1k games downswing, not a good one but still an achievement

Score of the week:
Something like 130€ in a small field 5€, so no pic of the week i guess lol

Tomorrow long sunday session (a bit scared ahah) and then hopefully a week in which i can stick to my plan.
Gl to everyone, see you!
