So, i did play another session friday and it became what shall soon be called the "Blom96" session, i played 156 (12 tabling most often, sometimes 10 and rarely 13, but it also happens) games in alot of hours, however did get som sleep in between (well, rest). I battled like crazy out there honestly, and im not even gonna start uploading lobbys (of non-wins as well) because there would be too many haha. Ill just try to list all the runs I had to paint the picture, because i must have had 10+ FTs, and only one win, one 3rd and then like 6th-9ths, and the win came in a tiny 11$ hyper for like $450
So starting with yesterdays part of the session (i played like 15.00 friday to 04.00, slept until 06.00 and then grinded another session with a lot fewer tables and lwoer buyins as well. Im very proud of the winrate i produced over so many hands in a short time, will post it below. Also us swedes have some super dumb restrictions with regards to deposits until end of the year so i am sometimes putting in alot of lower games (did that mainly for the 2nd part this time as i was not very in shape or w/e, still played fine IMO.

So.. yeah, quite a few runs as usual but very very frustrating to not get a decent day out of this, 2/2 tries at monster sessions have failed, but tbh i think i played kinda well today (mostly) and even further realized that its a really silly thing to do, it just messes up everything. I really need to get in to my head that every single MTT in those lobbies will be there tomorrow as well. Now i dont want to be the guy who quits because he is bored, but right now i keep regging reg speeds when i literally am sick of playing. Lol. The nightly games are so soft that i think $ wise its very worth it but for longevity and a bit of structure it is not.
So its now been like 1500 games of not winning which isnt that much i guess but remember I got back in to poker out of the blue earlier this year and am not really used to it yet. I dont really struggle with bad beats and tilt etc (i feel like i say this all the time
) but more when im struggling i start to doubt myself, and confidence is key. Like yday on the biggest ft (hot 22, peak one) i lost TTvs88 for a huge pile of chips to bust 7th, dont really care for more than a minute or two. The thoughts that i might just have ran well earlier and i am in fact a b/e shitreg etc are the ones that 1) are the most unbeneficial for me and 2) Need to go away.
My ev bb so far on stars this month is a whopping
13. Now im not super well informed on the numbers that are good etc, no one seems to really give a straight answer. Ive heard 10+ is crushing, if so im very happy with it. Think it helps quite a bit that i play "few tables" (9-12) and also i latereg alot of low super soft stuff where its just free money.
Heres my graph over the session and also monthly winrate on stars. I was actually dead seriously expecting like a 500bb drop towards the end because i was just out of it mentally, but i held it together well. Kinda funny how my worst month yet is the one i runt he best ev bb wise
Atleast that way you get to build some stacks and have a shot at it, rather when you just lose every all in ever and barely know what an FT looks like. Gonna take a long nights sleep and recharge for a bit later start tomorrow. Gl to all the heroes out there
Freerolls ($ to charity):
Goals for tomorrow, if anyone is reading this and chooses one of these u have a $25 freeroll, first come first serve. However the $25 shall it be payed out will go to a charity of your choice (or my choice if u dont have a preference). Ive been wanting to get in to regularly donating a little bit so this is a good way to start. In 2021 i definately see myself giving away a small % of my winnings for the year to some charity that is doing good work, something i havent ever really gotten in to, but its so so easy to be helpful to so many people, Its pretty insane that i havent even really considered charity donations as something to do regularly. Like even $50/month, imagine all the crap i spend way more than that on every month that i really dont need at all. I also imagine that the feeling of donating a monthly amount (whatever is an affordable amount for me/you/someone else) say $5, $50 or $500/month is you making an active choice to try and do something good for others with no personal gain (unless you are gonna post about it on instagram so others can see how kind you are
. I think its something ive realized with getting older that i really geniuenly enjoy the feeling of helping others, friends or what not. So does that mean im doing it for my own gain? No, i dont think so. As long as the reason for it is to be selfless and help, its obviously cool to feel really good about it.
here is where most people instantly point ut that im just a kid, and its always baffling to me. Im a kid compared to a 50 year old, but im a billion years old to someone who is just born.)Life is short and i really want to start taking small steps towards building some good habits/routine
Used to donate a little here and there but Id preferably like to just find one organization that are doing great work and send them an amount at the end of every month. The thought of charitys keeping 85% for big boy salaries for the CEO make me very upset, and so ive basically stayed away from it alot, but its time to start doing all these things that ive been thinking about, will sit down on monday (often a day off since sundays are so ***** draining usually.
I hope someone sees these, im kinda late with em but yolo! Btw goals like "meditate 5 minutes" or "Dont start regging til 16.30) may seem like suuuper easy goals, i have failed them more than i have been sucessfull so far..
- Meditate 5 minutes
- Review tagged hands 30 min
- Do the dishes & cook food to eat during the grind
- Go through my notes from the rye course so far and repeat them.
- Dont start regging before 16.30 CET. (latereg marathon/b44).
