Plenty of action on Bovada during the day, enough to play max tables

I rarely play during the afternoon on a non-vacation weekday, good to know.

Plenty of action during mid day for sure. I typically have no trouble finding even 4 5/10 tables but for sure lower stakes than that will be available.

I am mistaken. Didn't think Bovada had much traffic during those times.

Day 1 of live pro: -1770 ish.

Welp, since I'm unemployed, thought I'd give live poker a shot. Ran like dog crap. Made some pretty bad calls and some fish got lucky and I paid him off. Sigh. Seems like lately I've been making the wrong decision. FML.

What stakes are you playing live?
Southern California?

gear down and tighten up for awhile till you get adjusted to playing live. most of the games you'll be playing in will be softer overall vs the ones youve been playing online but you still need to adjust. nothing wrong with putting in hrs anytime, just make sure youre game selecting well and make sure to get plenty of hours in towards the latter part of the week/weekend when games are obviously the juciest. pick your head up and dont resume grinding till you got it on straight, GL!

Why are you starting the live pro path instead of continuing with the Bovada online pro path? Just curious.

FYI, if you start grinding 5/5 NL at the Gardens sometimes, you should say hi to me when you see me at the 5/10 NL or bigger games. I could give you a couple tips to help you out.

I know that it didn'the work out for you, but I have to give you props for trying out the teaching career path. California desperately needs more good teachers. At the start of every school year, I am always nervous about how good my son's elementary school teacher will be.

Yea, I'm overthinking in some spots that I feel most online regs are bluffing but most live players won't. I made some really really bad calls in both realms either way and it cost me 1300.

Thanks, I don't live near the Gardens no more, but am thinking it about making it my main casino. I'm temporarily doing the live pro because the game's are easier compared to online, plus Bovada just switched over to Ignition. I have a job pretty much lined up but am interviewing for higher paying ones right now, so the live pro thing is only temporary.

Thanks, teaching is a very very very tough job. I thought I can handle it but I wasn't able to.

+360 in a little over 3.5 hours.

Well, I ran a lot better. I would've probably lost but the idiots with KK and AA didn't 3 bet when I had QQ twice and I took flops multiway with QQ and luckily an overcard came so I lost the minimum once there was a lot of action.

What type of jobs are you applying/looking for? And congrats for locking one down.

Accounting type of jobs.

-312 in about 4.5 hours.

Ughh, would've been up so much more. Both hands were 5/5.

Hand 1: I have KQ off on a straddle pot on the BB, ~400 ish effective.

Folds around to CO who's an aggro whale who calls. Folds to me, I raise to 45. Straddler is a fish calls, CO calls.

Flop is Q 6 4 rainbow. I cbet to 75, straddler calls, CO jams all in, I call, so does straddler, board runs out 8 J. Straddle shows 73cc for a gutter and CO shows......j6 off. NH sir.

Hand 2: 500 ish effective

I have JT dd on the CO, folds to aggro whale villain from hand 1 who's at UTG+3, raises to 30, I call. Blinds call, no real reads on blinds.

Flop is KQ7 rainbow no diamonds. SB donks out 2/3 pot, BB jams all in for like 300 ish. Aggro whale tank calls. Now I'm thinking I should be jamming here too due to pot odds, but who knows what they have and i'm probably up against at least two pair or a set, so I elected to fold, SB jams to like 265 to complete the action. River was a 9 so I would've hit my straight and BB had KQ for top two.

Other than those two hands, no real interesting hands or big pots I was involved with. That aggro whale run super ridiculously good all night and won a boat load of money playing trash on another table. Grinded until I was only 100 down but lost steam and had to fold rivers/turns with bad cards so I lost 312.

Heh, you'll see this a lot in live poker. Always amazing to watch.

Try not to stay just to get back to even, just play to whatever time you set for yourself. It's all one big session bud.

Yea man, I see it online a lot too.

-420 ish

Wow, I run really bad live. Got outflopped with KK and AA twice and lost 300 when I ran into top set with top pair and nut flush draw on the turn when pot committed. Don't think I can play live when I see trashy players play trash and win.

Can you download hands using the Bovada converter? Or do you have to purchase another one? (Noticed ace poker solutions now advertising ignition conversion)

Could not figure this out for the life of me last night

I haven't tried it out yet. I downloaded the converter last night. I hope the license switches work.
10-18-2016 , 03:48 PM
Ahhhh, do you have to get an updated license key? Basically what is happening is I open the hand converter and it's inactive, like I haven't registered it. (Whereas it was working fine for Bovada 3 weeks ago)

Sorry I know there's an ignition support thread but the search function on these forums tilts me.

I'm also on a life heater at the cheeseburger stakes and need this ish recorded, lol

If that's the case, go here to receive your serials to reregister your bovada converter. http://www.acepokersolutions.com/serial-remind/

I got the email telling me about the new version, I hadnt played online in awhile and had it uninstalled. So I just redownloaded whatever they had on their site and registered it again using the key I had on file. It activated just fine and converts just fine, still says "bovada hand converter" on the top.

Wow, so many gut shots hit against me, ridiculous. AA vs AK on 5 high flop, gut shot for a chop. MBN and 4 other gutters that hit against me in PLO. MBN.
