Having played for the last 7/8 months semi-serious I blew a lot of my roll when I went through a difficult patch. I have 62.88 as a roll and aim to move up starting from 5NL to hopefully a decent level by the end of the summer.

I figured using a blog-ish post like this will keep me motivated and also let me track my success (or lack of it!).

Yes. Play as many tables as u feel comfortable, dont play when u r tired, etc.

I plan to update this thread every Sunday night, with goals set each week, each month, and quarterly. This will hopefully allow me to continually progress bit-by-bit and not lose focus of the overall goal.

Overall Goal:

Reach 100NL by the end of 2010.
Continue with this blog throughout.
Improve as a player.
Only check cashier on Sunday evenings.

May Goals:

Begin the challenge.
Keep post updated.
Begin switch to 10NL.

Weekly Goals:

2000 hands at 5NL.
Focus on making right decisions.

Have spent some time away from the game to rethink. After some more reading, analysing my DB I am confident I can move up through the limits now. My long term aim is to be playing 100NL by the close of 2010; short term I aim to be rolled for 10NL by the end of the month.

Started 1/8 with £100 on Ladbrokes poker grinding 4NL.

Currently sitting on £127 after 3K hands or so, will update tomorrow when back from uni.

After taking inspiration from others threads I will try and update after each session, putting my biggest winning/losing hands and ones that left me unsure. Thinking of blogging what I think of the limits as I * hopefully * move through them.

Looking to take shots at 20BI's - move down with 15 whilst only two tabling.

Had a destructive Tuesday, just the standard day were nothing would come off. Was constantly running into top of people's ranges with set over set, top/bottom two pair vs top two etc. Went from -4BI to +1BI back to -4BI. Ended up finishing day with 115. Did switch from two to four/six tables which really doesn't help me.

Grinding again tonight, will update when over and hopefully work out how to convert Ladbrokes Poker hands to 2+2.

So after this post:

Calling it a night after a few hours 2 tabling for 421 hands. Ran pretty well, had a couple of dirty coolers but was when villain was short stacked (touch!).

So nearly halfway there to my 20BI bankroll needed for 10NL. Hopefully this will be done within the next week or two if I can put in the volume. I feel I play much better when only two-tabling so will stick with that.

Running very up and down at the moment. Volume is an issue too whilst only two tabling. Considering moving to four to speed things up. Will hopefully post an update tonight with some graphs to follow over the next day or two.

Just finished a session four tabling, PT3 however seems to not want to track all my Ladbrokes hands so played 3/4's of the sesh with no HUD. Had a 200B set over set loss at the end that set me back a bit but feel I played pretty well.

Current roll at 188, will hopefully break the 200 barrier within the next couple of days and move to 10NL. Will try and post some stats with graph tomorrow.
