never ending ak < aa/kk preflop
never ending getting my hand utterly cucked on the river. but the annoying thing is i always have some kind of blocker hand that im forced to call but im never good.

i dont know if i just forgot how to play or just pure runbad. but its getting frustrating at the moment. even ignition feels unbeatable. what tops it off is that these have been some of the best games ive ever seen on stars/ignition in years over the past week or two. 2+ fish on every table and im getting slapped around. doubting every decision i make which obviously has caused me to spew some stacks also.

This lockdown is driving me crazy. I stay in a small studio and my girlfriend decided to move in since she doesnt have work. Way too early in the relationship to be living with each other and having 0 alone time. Hopefully will get through it all well and good but it sure is a test at times. On the other hand, i would hate to be single with close to 0 human interaction during this time. Lockdown will likely happen for months

As far as poker. Its stressing me out so likely going to take couple days off. feels like im running pretty bad even though over EV. I think every reg should be expecting or demanding at least 8bb/100 in this climate. i think 10bb+ should be achievable playing mostly normal table on stars+ignition. So falling below that is disappointing in my opinion. Felt a little dodgy on ignition this month. Getting spanked by 70vpip whales everywhere and i just cant win a pot vs them. 3 of them on different tables all had 500bb stacks and all left within 2 mins of each other when their orbit finished which made me question if something more was happening the other day.

Subbed and wishing you all the best on and off (lockdown specific!) the tables.

Dude idk if it's some crazy meta with Iggy players or what but i was having such a hard time beating these 70/5 players when i was playing 50nl and 100nl over there a few months ago. Literally could not win a pot vs them. Everytime i missed they'd donk into me and everytime i had it they'd check fold

I'm sure it was just some weird sample thing but even having the tiniest sliver of thinking something fishy is going on leads to massive tilt issues so i just said F** it and stopped playing there.

Gl tho man hope everything starts to turn for you.

yeh its been weird. Now this week ive seen like 0 fish at 200nl reg tables. If u cant spot the sucker than youre the sucker. or whatever the saying is. Weird though. MAybe im just running bad with selecting tables or something. Wonder if theres any other sites which are half open to americans which i should look into getting on instead.

Month starting off quite well. Feel like its impossible to stab in 3b pots currently without getting x/r'd 100%. Havent pio'd much at all so i think i might take tomorrow off to just pio some hands.

maybe should fold vs reg. Try not to ever fold 2pairs for 100bbs but people likely lack bluffs still. could be fold pre. havent looked into 3way ranges when CC bb but heard its way tighter than people realise. Having the 7 could be pretty bad for hero'n

Might stop updating this thread as i dont have much content to provide. It gets a bit repetitive just posting hands and graphs. I ditched ignition and moved to a pokermasters club. Hoping someone can help me with cutting out "winners tilt". I just called a 6 high flush on a 4flush board when reg has 0 bluffs just because i been winning and who cares. I know not to check results but i would quite like to get to the root-cause of it all to try cut it out. So if anyone got any advice for me it would really help

stars results in graph. Then +1.5k$ on PM club. And 200$+ from ignition

dno if anyone reads hands but some of them that i marked:

I'm having a 5k$ month and you were/are up 20k+ lol. Think you're doing plenty of things right.

But yeah, isn't the greatest call. Just clicking buttons when winning.

Likely going to call it a month and try study the next day or two. Might play a small session but wont be anything big. Rewatched all of GoT this week. Writing quality gets shocking s6+ but s8 is watchable knowing how **** it actually is instead of having huge expectations.

Results:

Total: +10.1k$

Ignition: +200$ , 7k hands
PM: +3.8k$ , 10.8k hands
Stars: +6.1k, 43.4k hands

graph and stake breakdown on stars. Other sites the results are dodgy in h2n and dont show true winnings/winrate. Would have been nice to run EV at highest stake:

Thanks you two.

Yeh I need to make 200 my main game more. I just sit the 100 and 200 tables until my cap fills and then slowly cycle it all to be 200. I should start playing 200z but got a huge mental block there for some reason thinking everyone there is God's.

Something that has never been seen before has happened. I Didnt lose on my first shot take :O I always seem to start the months of strong. So lets hope it continues. Cashing out whenver im 75%+ favourite for some reason. Will turn it off when i feel more comfortable. Fish at 500 seem odd. They all seem to have reggy stats but punt quite badly

merci sir.

i used to love zoom and hate normal. But now i hate it:

1) it gets in my head too much. convinced i just get barrelled into forever and nobody ever has a bluff. Likely just a mental game fish with it.
2) h2n hardly works with zoom updates. so its annoying. Even now h2n says its working perfectly for zoom uk client but i cant get it working
3) everyones a boss there.

played pretty **** bad today. Even dreaming about poker atm and couldnt sleep last night at all. feel like i just need to grind whilst games are hot but games were pretty **** dead today and i just couldnt focus. Decided im going to cashout majority of my winnings so far as my life roll is only 1-2 month living costs. Will leave enough to have a "5bi shot" at 500nl but could likely see me moving back down to 200 soon again. Getting winners tilt and spewing a lot at 200 as its the lower stake so reducing my bankroll could be a good thing and stop making me spew a bunch

Playing and tilting quite bad. im able to snap quit sessions which is good but its happening whenever i lose a stack or two at 500nl and getting more extreme as days goes by. Which leads me to a question which i hope gets answered,

Does anybody feel like they tilt more just so that that can show other people that you're tilting/frustrated? it sounds dumb but im convinced i exaggerate my emotions/tilt more when my gf is awake than when shes a sleep and im grinding, or when im just alone. I think i used to do it on skype when i used to be in groups, that i would tilt more just to complain to other people when they were online compared to when theyre not.

There used to be this one grinder who was crazy good at poker back in the day but couldnt get passed nl100. Even though at the time, he was likely 1knl+ level. He used to break his ipads and phones all the time over nothing and then start punting stacks but would instantly come online to our skype group to tell us all about it. It was as if he was tilting just so he could complain to others. It was "destructive bragging" if there's such a thing. I feel like im getting like that. Cam, if you are about and happen to read this and if you know how you fixed that problem, let us know how .

It feels like its so childish to do this behaviour and attention-seeking. But i dont feel like i want attention so i dont fully understand whats happening or why im doing it. (im not breaking anything, just some slight mouse slams lol)

i guess the sudden increase in tilt is fearing that im going to anti-rustocko my month so i should probably try not to look at any results. but that isnt really dealing with the issue. I guess it's a problem I have in all areas of my life, of looking into the future too much and asking what if all the time. Getting annoyed losing this pot because it results that in the future I'm likely to anti rustocko my month. Need to bring myself to the present more.

Random rambling trying to get thoughts out.

Everybody is different. For me it is the quite opposite case. When I am alone I tend to tilt way more. I basically never speak about poker to friends/family/gf,etc and use the time with them to chill and relax.

Beeing part of a study group helped me also to tilt way less compared to beeing alone. Seeing that other people go thru similar downswings, showed me that I am not the only one experiencing this. When I am alone I have always the feeling that nobody runs as bad as I do and that I am the unlikeliest person on the planet.

You are right that not checking results will not help you to solve the issue, but it might be a very good workaround. I check results just once a week and it worked wonders for my mental game. I still sometimes fail and check results when I am not supposed to and immediately see how my mood is affected by my session results.

Should probably try and work on this. In my experience, your gf most likely hates to hear this type of thing/thinks you're a degen/aggressive/whatever. I've been lucky to never be like this, but my brother lived with us for a bit and my wife would hear him act like this and be really worried

I'm not at all qualified to give you advice here, so I won't.

What seems positive, however, is your willingness to realise and accept your issue. Even better, your willingness to want to work and improve upon it. So kudos. That deserves a pat on the back.

Like isunkurbttlship mentioned, it's extremely toxic to others around you. Especially if you're (somewhat) playing up to it.

I hope you find a way to be mature about it.

If you're tilting after losing a stack or 2 at 500nl you're probably under rolled and the $ lost means more to you than it should...and since you have now made it quite obvious you're at a competitive disadvantage, The best defense against tilt is being extremely over rolled for the games you play to where you don't give a **** what happens and are able to show up and effortlessly execute regardless of fluctuations, As for the attention thing I dnno...try stand up comedy.

Yeh I just don't know how to fix it. Maybe I am under rolled for 500. But now is the best time to be playing it so dont want to give it up.

It's nothing too bad. Just mouse slams and saying "ffs" but it's over standard stacking hands which is silly. And having to quit sessions. Pretty childish behavior lol.

I just got a weak mind when it comes to mental stuff. I have 0 reasons for be tilting given I'm still winning lol.

I'll try play some calming music or try meditation at start of the day or something. Let's see.

Hey, I used to get mad alot, now hardly ever.

I found that a lot of the buzzy kind of advice you hear around didn't really help me. Meditation, pre-session routine, I'm sure they combined for a cumulative positive affect on my mental game but I still got mad. What really helped:

1. Playing less tables

2. Sitting out and taking a break immediately when I feel the frustration coming on, regardless of how good the games are, and going to run some cold water on the back of my neck.

3. Getting better - this made the biggest difference. Now when I lose a hand I just mark it to check later

4. To try to keep constantly in mind that the reason we can do this for a living is because everyone wins and loses regardless of skill level, I know it sounds trite but the beauty of this is that it really is a lifelong game (or career-long game), and as long as you focus on getting better you will always have the ability to make money in it. "Skill levels" fluctuate constantly and not to be concerned over, just focus on playing well. When I lose a big pot to a fish or bad player I immediately tell myself how good it is for the poker economy

**Lastly, and this is SO important, I know someone mentioned it but play stakes where you can laugh about it when you lose 10 bis in a day. This is prob more important than anything else imo

You'll figure it out man, nothing groundbreaking here i just figured i'd share my experience. GL

Thanks a bunch for replies from everyone. it was happening multiple times a day and think since i made the posts i only did it twice. So theres some improvement.

Grind has become pretty slow. i bought a switch. Was really excited to play pokemon again and was excited to show the gf the game as shes never played, but my god its boring as hell. Just never ending people talking to you. Just wish i could turn it up to 600% speed like you can on the emulators. Was really disappointed by it. However we been making our way through zelda links awakening and its really hard lol. Getting stuck over stupid things in the caves lol. Thats quite good fun. Any decent two player games anyone recommends?

Poker is going decent. up and down a lot over the past 20k hands but cant really complain with the start i had. Got to find more motivation to grind longer. That will likely come when my gf can go back to work which will likely happen in next few days. Then +2.5k$ on pokerbros. A real shame i cant play higher than 100 there unless i want to fk up my sleeping pattern which i dont really want to do. So might be worth finding some asian club to play on instead.

The good old "ill check back or fold if he donk jams" and then when he donkjams u decide to just completly throw everything you decided out the window. such a bad call when u dont have a club.
