Hey, just curious why you would consider dropping Iggy when you have access to relatively soft 2k games? Never played there myself but some guys are getting very high winrates in those games.

i think those 2k games are quite sketchy. There is much more room for cheating/collluding and not getting your money

Not much. Grind a few hours a day ( brain turns off as soon as I hit 1.5k hands for the day when playing 1k+). Then try just review some pots I played in that day. The studying hours is way less than what I should be doing, and way less compared to the field but I'm winning so must be doing something right.

Anon poker is not for me. Too weird of a dynamic. More regs is better.

Had a vaccine appointment 11 days ago. Turned it down as they only had sinovac on the day. It's 50/50 whether u get astra or sinovac. And then 3 days later I got hit with a sudden covid suspected virus. Been proper Ill all this month but I'm finally starting to get back to 95%+. I am tired all the time though. Luckily I didn't have any difficulty breathing. Hopefully will start grinding tomorrow. Might be super low volume month

just copying:

So month is coming to end for me unfortunately. might play the odd hand here and there so wont be officially called but likely i wont play again. Volume super low. Started the month with suspected covid? had pretty bad fever with really bad headache for a few days, followed by a really bad cough for about 10days more where i barely grinded. Luckily i didnt have difficulty breathing which is something im terrified of (maybe it wasnt covid? i dno but its everywhere atm in philippines). Dont really know what to make of my month. Felt like i ran pretty bad tbh. Sorry to always moan about it but runouts on ignition are just broken. Rivers just never ending cuck me. Glad i moved off it finally. Really wish i didnt shot 5k looking back now. Just major dump in last couple days around that time even though i wasnt tilted but i feel like my months just always have these big dumps in them so maybe it is tilt without realising it. frustrating end but a win is a win i guess.

Ending month early because my gf is resigning from her job tomorrow. Shes been in a really strict work bubble so havent seen her in 8 months. So just going to chill with her for a few days and will see if theres any weekend vacation places open although thats looking a doubt due to covid restrictions but will see.

So ending this month somehow brings me to 6 months in bitb. No idea where the fk the time has gone. feels like i been here for 3 months only. Maybe im getting old now and time just blurs too much but jfc. time flies. Very happy i joined here. I had a semi-vague goal that after 12 months i would like to hit 150k$ and potentially start shotting 2knl in the last month. The fact i am around there after 6 months i could not be happier.

Have i improved? Hopefully i dont think i was too bad before i joined, i had like 11bb over 200k hands ( a ton over EV ofc) i think but my game was not structured what so ever and i had 0 understanding (dont have much understanding still but game is much more structured. i still talk like a ****** if need to discuss poker but my brain is broken when it comes to talking poker hands ). The [redact] which is the first thing everyone learns here was actually insanely valuable for me. It just instantly made sense and added a ton of structure to the game where before i was trying to copy sim outputs without having a clue why it was doing those things (game gets very messy if u dont know why).

The most important thing thats improved for me is mental game. First thing G said to me that biggest thing for me being here was confidence (maybe he says that to everyone) but he was right. If you read my pgc thread, i just hated the thought of shotting 1k again, i was tilting quite badly because i was constantly doubting myself and if what i was doing was correct (was solo before this so i had no idea). I haven't knowingly tilted since i joined so whatever happened to improve that side of mental game i could not be more thankful. I will say that im getting some of the old vibes back now im playing some 2k but i think thats only natural. I think carving out some kind of winrate at 2k will be my limit of whats achievable in poker and im cool with that. Feel everyone is so sick here and has a pretty deep understanding of theory that ill never be able to match. And i definitely have too many bias/leaks in my game.

Plans for next 6 months would be to get 100k hands in at 2knl. No 5knl (didnt enjoy losing that 1 stack very much ). Keep studying. Need to look into rivers again because my sizings compared to what others are playing doesnt match. I would like to get into learning HU towards the end but probably best to stay away from that side of poker if i struggle with theory. but the game looks fun so who knows. I want to say i need to improve volume but happy grinding > volume for volume sake. Need to work out the leak of trying to find every reason to hero hands, huge bias to focus on reasons to call and not more of a structured balance reasoning.. My wtsd is 33.4 so its a bit of a problem. Although difficult to say how much of a problem it is when my w$sd is still 54.

Anyway results: missing 15k$ from smallish amount of hands from acr/PB at 1knl and some rb from the graph. Will be about** 140k$+.** I think i could improve my 1k winrate a bit but will just put that down to running bad on ignition. But over 6bb when i was scared to shot take before whilst im battling all my tables ill take

thx for all the help in the first 6months everyone <3

this is just insane !
I still remember reading your blog about you being broke and borrowing 2k from a shugga mommy it's just a crazy story and mindblowing how much you improved and moved thru stakes like it's nothing

We had a chat at the end of 2020 before you joined bitb and you said something about not adjusting to other regs, treating every reg the same and trying to play a pseudo gto against them , not trying to exploit population etc
Do you feel like even tho this was working before , now after bitb your approach is completely different?

Oh heya!
Haha that was pretty much exactly 2 years ago now. Man what a low point in my life that was. Just completely different mentally compared to now. Could not be feeling better in life tbh (apart from restrictions). Can't complain too much about covid because without it, I would probably be at 200 still.

No, that's a good point actually. I should have included that in my things to improve on in next 6 months. I think I might focus a couple of sessions on adjusting to regs now the pool is getting super small. I still mostly treat everyone the same but it seems like it's very valuable thing to learn. Especially if I ever want to learn Hu. Bitb has a very good approach of a lot of solver work but just being very aware of population data. I should incorporate it into my game more and i need to get into more of the nitty reg vs reg adjustments at 2k.

Because there's hands where I'm calling double pot with Khigh. bit of a problem. In all seriousness though, it's likely I just need to shift some of the calls into raises if it's 33.4 with that high w$sd. Probably making many +EV calls, but PIO will often end up bluffing some of those. Fine margins though.

I got the same problem on GG,only thing that worked for me to stop the lag is to reduce the table size .

Might be a GPU usage issue.

Try switching:

was -26k but got out the hole on all the sites.

then got a bit destroyed on gg.

first day back on the grind and down 7k already with losing another 5k on gg. Just forever get stacked there. Load tables and just get instantly stacked. wish i never bothered playing. made me lose a bit motivation already tbh and probably wont be playing 2k again unless quickly turns around im a bit ****
