Had a 1.5 hour sweat with my coach and it went really well. I definitely fold too much pre, there are some spots where I think I should be calling quite a bit given where the fish are and positions. I play very poorly without initiative, and I think I try to avoid that by folding too much preflop.

Finally in the green for the month. Let's make some $$$.

it's like, the guys you are playing are WAY too bad to adjust specifically. From a few DB i have seen, the nits are making a lot more on the BTN than guys playing 45+% on it. You cant make these guys fold anything so just keep ranges tight(25 vpip total~, just a bit more than co) and make bank. I dont think the extra RB is worth all the extra swings/lower winrate/annoyance you get by raising more.

obviously you're way too nitty in UTG&MP. 12% is a joke. move that up to 17-18%. There's serious money to make in those 2 positions. You get a lot more credit even with wider ranges.

Hey man, I try my best to stay out of EP/MP. Just being OOP stinks a lot. It's also table dependent too. Yeah, it looks like I've just auto-piloted from those positions. Guess I need to spot the fish/weaker regs and open up my range more from them.

I also think I'm bleeding money by double barreling in the wrong spots. I think I should take my free cards vs fish who NEVER fold instead of trying to get them to fold.

I don't play anymore so I'm not gonna sit here and give advice but to those who are saying be looser in EP etc. give reasons why and back it up. Having Op open up more could easily make him lose more money too. I know this is all general talk which In poker doesn't mean much but maybe give specific examples to OP where it has benefited you in opening up a wider range.

i didnt play low for a while but i started my roll over and what ive noticed is that utg/mp works well being loose as long as you dont cbet much. Thats where most of my $ comes from.

and that btn doesnt work at all. its just leaking. I mean raise 100% when both guys at 80% fold but other than that play really tight cause fishes dont fold to cbets(like they seem to think of on training sites because they havnt played outside of stars & lowerstakes) and with higher rake ratios its completely useless to get into many barely ev spots. You'll lose that marginal ev playing too many tables, getting mad at idiots.

thanks y'all. im not going to over adjust. it could easily just be variance. ive had a tight UTG/MP range for over millions of hands and seem to do fine with it. ill add in some stuff, but not going to over do it like i said. also recognize where the bad players are and open accordingly.

you might do fine with a tight utg/mp range but you'd do better with a looser one.

Most decent winners i look over make a large percentage of their money frmo those 2 positions.
all of them including myself from 18-25vpip

Just looking at some of my dbs. The cbet success from utg/mp is in the 60's while other position is in the high 30's up to sometimes 42~

the cbet success stays the same on my 24% account and my 18%

you might do fine with a tight utg/mp range but you'd do better with a looser one.
yeah this imo, you should be aiming to create the biggest edge possible, doing "fine" isn't really good enough imo.

Also think playing from utg/mp has a lot to do with how you play when you check as opposed to just cbetting/barreling lots.

Sup? Put in a small session over the weekend, and ended up in the green. Also played some tipsy 1/2 live lol. Had about 6 shots of black label along with 3-4 bottles of Corona. I still play like a nit when tipsy lol, and ended up making 1/2 a BI within 3 hours or so of play.

                      Live hand:

I think I was CO or BTN, I iso 2 limpers with Q9 to $15. Folds to BB who calls, and limpers fold lol.

                      Flop: J92
BB donks like $15, and I call.

                      Turn: 9x
BB donks like $35, and I call.

                      River: Q
BB donks $70, I hollywood for like 15 seconds and tell the dealer I'm all in. BB thinks for like 5 seconds and calls.

                      Results:
                      Hero 9's full of Q's.
BB is disgusted and shows K9o.

                      Sorry sir.

LOL, thanks bro. yeah you can definitely say that. i never would have thought i'd be playing nl100. just 8-9 months ago, i was struggling at nl25 and nothing more than a busto nl10 grinder lol. i dont know what happened, but got over the hump, beat nl50 at a decent rate, and now trying to beat nl100. it might not be a big achievement for some, but it's a pretty big one for me.

Revolution seems to be down and lately there hasn't been a ton of traffic on the site. I did however get in a session yesterday at .5/1 and 1/2.

Turn was more of a protection jam/getting diamonds/2barrels to fold.

Hey. Decided to add in a couple of nl200 tables this week as they seemed juicy. Didn't go my way, but I'm happy I got to put in some hands up there. nl50 seems small now, and I'm use to the nl100 swings. This is good news, as I was somewhat scared money at the beginning of the challenge. I am still breaking even at nl100. I just can't get any momentum/confidence going.

                                            nl200 shot taking this week:

                                            nl100. 75% into the challenge:

You can see the graph isn't smooth at all. There is just no sign in there that says 'you have a clue' lol. At least it isn't going down at a -45 degree angle southeast right? haha. Oh well, just need to spot some leaks and work/study harder I guess.

maybe try to drop tables on nl100 and work on winrate grind instead of rakeback
