Ok first a little history on my game since still quite new around here and decided to post this thread to help encourage me to put in the effort needed to move up in stakes/improve my game.

I started playing DON's on the ipoker network with a roll of $30 and then moved to regular SNG's with more or less break even success in both, i then decided to give cash games a try and found moderate sucess in this over a tiny sample size (~2000 hands, this was before i discovered multi-tabling so took many hours to reach) upon hearing about rush poker i moved over to full tilt to give it a try. (signed up with rackback + card runners + HEM deal)

Rush was a disaster for me however and cost me much of my roll. Deciding rush was not for me i moved back to SNG's where i managed to just about break even at SNG's before rackback and bonus (after my roll was back up to ~$30). In this time however i learned much about online poker and fell my general understanding of it has improved, ive also learned to mulit-table which certainly helps.

I have recently turned my attention to full ring cash games playing 6-9 tables at a time the past few days for roughly an hour a day with some encouraging results (11.69BB/100 over 2769 hands, ill post graph if someone could tell me how?). Yes i know this is a tiny sample size which is why Ive now decided to try put in the volume needed to see if i have what it takes to beat this level.

Current bankroll stands at $74 (cleared $30 worth of bonus' in the past two days) and im planing to move up once i have $150 (30 buy ins). I will update each day I play to try keep myself encouraged.

If you're wanting to post graphs, you should right-click on your graph in HEM and save it as a JPG or PNG or whatever. Then upload it to Imageshack, and copy the "Direct Link" you get into a post here on 2+2, and put [IMG] and [/IMG] on either side of the link.

I am in the same situation as you trying to grind my way up from the bottom to 5NL so I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how you are doing as an inspiration for myself. :-)

you should be fine playing 5-6 tables at 5nl with your 15BI br.. the 30BI rule applies for 50nl and up

I dunno about that, i prefer playing 9 tables in general, 6 tables at 5nl is nearly half my br and altho i have played at times with half my br on the tables at 2nl (Not a wise move on my part ill admit) I felt extremely comfortable at that level, even if sucked out on.

If i were to do this at 5nl any suckouts/bad beats could tilt me even if i knew i made a right move, due to it representing such a large amount of my br currently. Maybe when i reach $100 ill start taking shots but for the time being think its better to be safe then sorry.

Lol, clearly winning player could easily have 10bi down swing, in just few sessions 4-6tabling 5NL, not to mention how much harder NL25 would swing.

Having a decent BR is definitely a good thing, especially playing 9 tables.

That being said 2nl and 5nl aren't that far apart.
