I just said its the same result as PT4. I use both because when I import in PT4 it is much slower than HEM2. Literally in HEM2 I can import my entire database in like 2 hours. In PT4 that would take something like 24hours even with my SSD -- it works with multiple files very slowly. The only reason I bought HEM2 was just to give you guys updates basically, I don't use it for anything else.

Why not just use PT4, when I auto-import with PT4 there is a PT4 bug and PT4 crashes during sessions. This causes it to noticably drop games (the $profit result is often wrong.) I have found even reimporting doesn't work because of how tournament summaries work or something. The only way to actually get it to work is to purge that day and then reimport. It is a very big hassle.

zima mentioned in his thread that mouldy had a small health issue that slowed his pace and that he stopped updating things because he no longer is interested in trying to attain any promotional stuff like team online. No idea why the change of heart, but hopefully he still throws us a quick update after he hits first SNE because it has been fun to follow his progress.

Alex, i recall you mentioned earlier that your study: play ratio is some high multiple in favor of study, and am wondering if that refers to the overall time in your poker career, in which you mentioned you wasted significant time and didn't reach your potential, or whether that was referring to current day or recently, and in particular in hyper turbos. just trying to get an idea of your learning curve for these i guess since i'm very interested in this format. can you give us any taste of what your study sessions entail? if no, a pm would be awesome (i live in the US for 6 more months and am super underrolled for your games so no worries that i may become good and battle you any time soon.)

is the number of games running your limiting factor or is it mental, physical? how has the energy and excitement that went into making this goal/thread been holding up?

you mentioned you don't play satellite format hypers, and i'm curious if it's just learning a new format or some other reason why that is.

what have you been listening to while grinding lately?
First I am surprised you wanted your post deleted, these are good questions

Study, I haven't been studying much... I have a backlog of about 200 hands if thats any indication (I mark hands as I play)

I think a key part is to develop a comprehensive game that considers both all possibilities and the entire hand. Once you have that / get to that point where you consistently develop the right "type" of answer, then studying becomes more optimal.

I will PM you some tips, hopefully this gives you a lot of ideas. It comes down to knowing the game, and at high stakes where you play few opponents, knowing your opponents.

I think the factor is mainly physical, and also the number of games running. I think my energy has declined significantly, in part due to not maintaining my body effectively enough.

Listening.. mostly EDM, sometimes rap/rnb.

So you are about to reach the first SNE a little less than two months in, how do you feel? Are you setting your sites lower? Do you intend on finishing out the year? Fwiw my impression of multiway AIEV calcs is that they are very inaccurate.

gl!

Hey guys a quick update

So I am back on the grind soon, I have been taking an extended break which feels pretty good, mostly been working on some server code for the game project, watching movies, had a chance to get outside a bunch of times too.

BR $82,965
VPP 917,327

Here is a pic of my office, I will just note down some things you can't see from this view

Peripherals -- Keyboard -razer blackwidow stealth, I also use the "ironclad" mousepad, m500 logitech mouse I've gone through 5 of these but I still like them a lot, gunnar halogen.

I have a whiteboard to the left I write some crap I should do. I usually also have a notebook infront of me, write down stuff I wanna review after. Don't usually use/need towel anymore, not sweating while playing anymore really. (In part less sweating big swings, also less sweating because playing much less tables.)

When I am bored I will like 6 table while playing piano, if you notice me timing down while low tabling its likely me doing this.

Also I considered getting a 30" but its kind of frivolous as I use very little screen space when stacking, but I might one day. Right now just two 24"s.

---

So you are about to reach the first SNE a little less than two months in, how do you feel? Are you setting your sites lower? Do you intend on finishing out the year?

I think I will stay at 6x pace more or less, but I may burst out some games here and there. I think if I went hard 12x is still possible in a month, so one big month can make up for 3 avg months if I still want to 8x. Not sure where my priorities are right now, we will see in a bit.

Tbh I think I am more shook than I should be from running bad and it has a negative effect, but I'll just try to push through, I definitely want SNE by the end of the month.

What condenser microphone is this?
