Yea thats a very achievable goal at nl5. You will need to put in a bunch of volume but definitely achievable. After reading your new goal I decided to follow suit and begin my own. I'm going to try to get 50k hands in this month which will get me approximately 40 dollars just in rakeback. Its not a huge amount but it helps greatly when moving up stakes! lol. Good luck.

Small update. Good day. Im now at 195 VIP in3 days so Im crushing silver star and going for gold star next month.

Roll at 250$. Took a shot at nl10 where I played horrible so grinded my 5's again for a 29$ day (13$ bonus 16$ tables). I will be playing nl5 till 300 because I dont like my sample size.

FR 8000 hands 1.51 BB/100 (ruined the BB calc in the beginning, last 3000-4000 hands are 3-4 BB/100 at least.)
6max, 2300 hands 13.50 BB/100. (probably running a little heather).

I wanna try to get at least 5000 hands more especially in 6max to see what winrate I roll before I start taking shots at NL10 (and get some BI's to cover transition).

Update: Slack week, 39$ up. Lots of heathers and downswings, and some tilts and LOTS of KK/AA's cracked. Anyway bonuses got me trough this week.

I didnt play too much NL5. About 15-18k hands. I dont really understand it very well since my stats show that I ran NL5 breakeven yet still I managed to get to NL10 bankroll. Always hated NL5, its NL2 with more chips. Really boring.

You mentioned that you already have pokertracker? Now you should try to get it workin. If you have problems just read the basic information on the pt homepage. They explain very well how to get started! Just my advice, try it out before purchasing HEM which is not "less complicated" to use.

I already have HEM working and I have over 5k hands played at NL25 so far.
