Down 240 at southpoint gonna have to temper my ego massively and short buy know and hit run. These games are too awful otherwise. Last hand I tried to turn a missed flush draw with pair into bluff on river scare card ace that brings in flush and straight on board already. I bet big on straight turn shove river but villain had rivered two pair and couldn't fold. Worst day in Vegas yet.

Best player at the table raises 45. Folds to me I fold queens face up. Yes my hand is under repped their but he looked very strong. Hope to induce some kind of tilt if he does in deed have some Two pair set or set hand. Cause at that point I can only beat a few combos of aj. A few orbits later pick up j10 suited. He raises 12. 4 callers. 1094 Flop. I lead 70%ish pot. He calls now heads up turn 10 but spade draw now. I size down to 50 becusee I want callers for value and also to disguise the strength of my Hand. River off suit ace he snap shoves. I thought he was calling me light with ak so I snap call. He shows aj with spades for a missed spade draw. We scoop a 550 pot and are back in the black.

Played like Hellen Keller at 1/2 south point lost 150 left. So scary how quickly your brain can fall into bad habits and stay there.

Was really upset at my last punt early for the sole reason that I knew I could do better. My goal is to be more consistent. And adapt to any game I'm playing in. And move up eventually. You either suffer the pain of discipline or regret. Went to Lovell Canyon to decompress and enjoy the serenity of the forest in all its glory. Would reccomend hiking there it's fantastic. Then went to red rocks and won 240. And it was a super hard fought battle against mostly grinders. Like squeezing blood for a stone most small pots that I double barreled with air using geometric sizing. Anytime I had a good hand pre was always folded to. Could have been a better day if I didn't punt but I will show all these players way more respect from now on.

Went for a nice long hike in Red Rocks. Slept well meditated ate healthy. Then get my soul owned with jj 3 bet to 22$ same villain that I beat with j10 2 days ago best player at table. Made a believable and well thought out bluff against him to win a 350$ pot. 77 call button after cutoff makes it 7. He re raise 25 pre mp calls co folds 3 ways to flop. 1086 flop he goes 80 on flop we both call. Turn 8 he checks mp checks. I jam 200ish he folds mp is short stack calls 30. I tried to exploit the fact that we both knew mp was calling any range and so my cards would have to be showed and so the likely hood they are stronger is higher. Also that board favors the buttons range more plus I'm blocking straights. In addition better players are more susceptible to bluffs i find. Luckily mp had q9 so I scoop with 77s and he was visibly frustrated.

And 108 suited 3 way 223 flop I bet 15. Turn 10 jam one caller 42. Even though I raised 6bb. Sometimes you just can't win. I am so happy.

Won 188 @ Mgm Kq vs Ak I bet ot 45 pre. flop q10x I down bet 40 he shoves I call and scoop. would have been a nice end to trip but tilt bet 200 on sacremento Kings. Like Dr Jordan Peterson explains "You never get away with anything, ever" I was lazy with that bet and deserved to lose! I am so happy!

Played 1/3 at Deerfoot. Tried to bluff with k6 suited raised pre flop 15 6 callers a102 flop bet 30 end up heads up. turn is 2 i feel thats a good board for to shove trying to bluff off ax that would call flop but no he calls with 62. then play 5/5 bigger game for only like the 7th time in my life. Game was riddled with Sharks. lucky to book a very small win. overall down 277 on the day but lost 125 of that due to 2-7 game. I flopped a straight with kq but no one had anything. then folded kq suited pre on a 3 bet 110 pot with 3 other players. I just didn;t feel like it played that well but that pot could have netted me over 1000 in profit had I not been chicken to call. Overall the bigger game gets my more motivated to play absolutely my best poker. I enjoy it more. THe games are very very tough though at any buy in. In Bankroll buulding mode unitl Vegas Jan 25th. Might try learning plo too to take inspiration from Dumbostrunk.

something funny was I saw the button cheer that they didn't raise in position because I limp re raised. I'm the usually the one cheering in such small EV+ spots lol. Also the only thing I promised myself I would never do is stay up all night to play poker no matter how lucrative it is. If anyone understood the health complications associated with a disrupted circadian rhythm I don't think they would sacrifice their long term health. It also seemed like everyone there new each other for the most part and were tacitly trying to take out me as a new comer which made it even harder to turn a profit. I dont know what kinda of strategy I can use to combat that... and I didn't get the right cards to be able to do much.

day 1 in Vegas played at resorts world for obvious reasons. I even deealer.... ONE TIME! and one person got the reference. Button raises my big blind the second hand im dealt to 40 I have 89 spades and think his sizing is a big large for an open so I call downgrading his hand in my mind. flop 652 two spades we pick up a gut shot and flush draw, buddy bets 55 into 80 again very large sizing which to me at the time seemed weaker. i shove 300 eff and he calls after 15 seconds river gives me flush so we get it in a favorite against 8s and win a 600 pot should have just left after that. I call 108 suited five ways 12$ on a 108q board first to act I decide not to slow play and bet 2/3rd original raiser old asian min clicks it back. I tank and convince myself there's no way he raised j9 on button and that he either has aq aa or kk and im good so I shove but get shown j9 and as quickly as i earned it I lost it. then at one point was up only 60 but got a bit back from that guy playing well like checking an over pair when a flush and straight came on the river and I knew he would bluff and I would call. Overall I love Vegas. and must cap my success at 600 cause that's a good days work and something I should be able to achieve everyday if these game conditions persist. Been studying everyday and feel stronger than ever.

I fold maybe a loose fold but I felt over pair or set. Unfortunately they had flush and middle pair that both bricked but I don't hate my fold. Hs range is capped for sure I dont think hes callling with 72 or checking any pair or boat. get one caller - tourney player who bubbled and was tilted, probably the only reason the game was worth staying for. he calls turn is a 6d he check I check to not over bloat the pot and wait to see how the river unfolds there might be a car like say Ace i could bluff on. but it's the glorious ace of clubs given me the nut flush, there are boats out there but that's rather unlikely. EVen better news my opponent puts half his stack in like 120ish and I reraise all in 240 and he calls shows jc5c. Fun times I feel better and I just wanna be the best ever lived. Cause we all die one day so might as well go for broke and that's why I always to try to win everytime I play and try to play my absolute best every time.

Sat down at Golden Nugget asked myself is this a good game? Answer no. I only play in good games. But whilst moving I get dealt 1010 raise 15 2 callers flop j104. I check to trap next guy bets 25 older lady calls I min click he calls. Older lady shoves for 90ish now I jam 300. The guy folds aces face up in disgust and the board ran out with ace on river :O. I felt that lady twice and felt bad. Everyone had 100 on table and were locals and the game was dead. I sent one other guy home and left up 225. I raise 10d9d on button 15 he bb calls. Flop 1094 I bet 10 he goes 20 I guessing he's willing to go all in with 80 behind so I shove and hold. I think he had ace 10. I ran 8.5 miles today and I think it really helped my mindstate.

Went to MakersLV for breakfast and thought it was quite good. Then did Turtlehead Peak in about 2 hours, then played Red Rock room looked dead but I sat down at the table with most chips and osicllated from up 100 to down 50 3 different times finally leaving up 99$. one hand i had 10s raise 47 2 callers flop 982 i jam one caller wiht 9 and i hold for 250$. That was the biggest hand almost all my bluffs failed 2 bet 7's to 50 called by k8 off and run out is like kkxxx plus 4 diamonds and i dint have any but v did. I also raise large with aq same v calls k4 off on k10984 runout and i have blocked so obliged to bet like 75% pot on river and get tank called, probably should have gone bigger but this guy have 1700 in chips and I felt scared that he would winners tilt call.

I was almost get down on myself for losing but then I asked myself am I getting out of line? no I'm playing well just running extremely poorly if I continue to make very solid decisions and take my time at every game tree to mull every option good things will transpire. one hand I lost: aq vs ak loose rec player on my right raising every hand goes 15 I go 45 tight old lady calls with a very low frequency loose guy calls with 83 flop qj4 I c bet 30 into 150 with designs of folding to a re raise from the old lady if she has an over pair and re raises and its multifacted for keeping worse hands in turn a loose guy folded flop when lady called. turn ace we got two pair I'm less prone to slow playing **** every again so I shove lady calls I think she has kings or something river king, d'oh! she had ace king though so we get rivered brutally for a 450 ish pot. but one hand I won was q9 big blind 7 way limp pot flop q94 utg and older solid reg he's my buddy bets 15 in 16 I go 35 he calls and one other calls turn is an 8 bringing a flush draw to board and straight hits he bets out like 30 I shove 200 and get called by his ace queen river queen so we have full house for 400 ish pot. Must take a day off, must take tomorrow off, Need a rest day to reset my mind.

Did a 10 mile run in Valley of Fire rested well did a 3 mile hike today then made 168 playing at mgm when i flopped a combo draw vs tptk on a kj8 flop hit river. then was up 350 at redocks when disaster struck I was playing the game only for this one player and I had 10 10 on a108 flop I check he shoves jacks. turn k river q. didn't feel fair as I never play like that and subsequently never suck out on anyone. After that better players came I stay battle hard but ran very below average was down 600 there battled back 400 stealing 20 pots in a row never done anything like that but the game was so passive. proud of myself for making adjustments like that. Never once had any maladaptive behaviors. I've done dumb **** in poker but I can proudly say I stayed cool didn't tilt and continued to make the best decisions I could but I did get fatigued and gradually slipped to my B game. Anyways this is part of my cool down I ended up down 550 there my biggest loss in Vegas ever. Gonna take tomorrow of to rest both my body and mind. Headed to Phoenix to visit the Grand Canyon and stuff so gonna play poker there a few days and come back rejuvenated. Anyways thanks for reading.
