Deepz - "Ben how likely is it to scoop in run it thrice?"
Ben - "Pretty much impossible"
4 hands later Ben scoops with the river 5 ball lol smh.
Confirmed mayo run it thrice end boss.
Fun times boys and it was great meeting everyone. What a night that was though honestly. At one point we had a bigger rail than the final table while we were playing run it thrice before stars booted us out of the room. Darrel binking that 9 on the river while all of us were gathered around screaming for it and then having him take down the whole thing was so sick. Bzzzzt for sure!
I realized that if a 9 or a 5 is needed and Ben is calling for it, you better believe it's coming.
Cheers guys.

between 2-6 players get dealt 6 cards each. 3 flops are dealt and are weighted in value, 1:2:3 i.e. $5/person for board #1, $10/person for board #2 and $15/person for board #3 - so everyone invests $30/round. each player places 2 cards next to each board (and everyone knows which board is the least/most valuable). deal turn and river cards, see who has best holdem hand for each, calculate results. and if anyone outright scoops all 3 boards, you get a bonus from each player (somewhere around 6 bets/$30 but it depends on how many people are playing/how difficult it is to scoop all 3).
adding beers is also recommended.

Reason: lol ripper. it could actually happen.

haha me and raikkonen invented something so similar to this back in 2012, playing for 50p per board! Incredible game!
as long as it's in the ratio 1:2:3 you can choose your own amounts of money to play for.
so for example, if there are 6 people playing and the boards are worth $5, $10 and $15 per person, the winner of board 1 would scoop $30, the winner of board 2 gets $60 and the winner of board 3, $90. if you lose on every board, you lose $30.
and it's all predetermined, so you would place the 3 boards above/below each other and the top one would be the most valuable, the bottom one the least.
One of smb's few moments at a poker table He seems to prefer the rail

So just to clear up run it thrice. Below is the hand i scooped. Blue worth $5 per person, yellow worth $10 and reg worth $15 with extra bonus if you win all 3.
Backdoored the straight flush 1st, held with AT and then rivered a greasy gutterboy otr
Overall we had an awesome trip, met a lot of cool new people and have definitely got the travelling bug. I even enjoyed live poker! For the whole trip including expenses i made roughly €1500 so not too bad at all.
I've caught a horrible cold since being away so i'm not grinding all that much. I did however play heads up today because it's something im thinking about starting to play more of. Mainly due to having people that i can discuss HU with which is definitely crucial if you wanna be successful, but also with the looming stars changes - i figured that having a hu skill set could come in very useful if i want to keep playing on stars.
Month is looking bean, but hey, i'm feeling very happy with things right now
was great to meet you buddy, had a quuuuuuwolity time hanging ou with the crew. take care and hopefully see you in melbourne

Forgot to post this pic where we hijacked an empty table while darrell was on the FT and started playing run it thrice. Got a massage too Can see frank making a cheeky cheat look too
I'm still confused by the flop weighting in RIT. How do you reach a consensus on which board is top value and which one is bottom? Is it based on texture?

Had a decent day today, played a lot of hu which went well overall. Felt like i made quite a lot of mistakes so there's a LOT of improvement that needs be done. Really enjoying it though.
this is vs a guy who starts tables a lot and i feel is quite a decent player. Do we think that this is a better call than a hand like 88 or 99? I guess it's a pretty big issue that we have SO much Qx here to call down with. General reads on this player are that he doesn't 3b all that much (this could be due to lack of history as this is the first time we've played together) but does have highish aggression.
River: ($154.00) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $123 all in, Hero $123 to call???
This was vs a different guy who i've never played hu with. He seems to be a good reg again and starts tables regularly. My question here is about our best bluff combos. I know i don't really have any straights but we need(?) some bluffs and this hand felt like it fell into that category.
Final Pot: $129.00
BTN/SB shows 9h Qd (a pair of Queens)
Hero shows 8h 4c (a pair of Fours)
BTN/SB wins $128.70
(Rake: $0.30)
I'm aware that a lot of people reading this thread don't play hu, but i'd happily take any feedback from anyone, even if it's just to open up discussion because as a whole i'm not good at hu!
portomaso is the dock where the yachts are. next to the casino. hopefully you actually went there, if nothing else then for food.
I love boats, so i liked going there for a walk.
