It's also acceptable to use 'scoop' for games which have multiple boards in every hand (i.e. not just RIT).

Monthly Update

This month has been a really weird one. Ran awesome the first half of the month, then ran utterly awful for the 2nd half. I'm actually really pleased that i ended up with $2200 profit! Couple with my rakeback and video money it's actually a decent month again.

Goal review
[ ] Continue to average B+ game
[x] 60k hands Smashes this
[x] Start with 3 new clients Got 4!
[x] Research masters courses Have some viable options lined up
[x] Find a new place to live. Yes, but moving date to be determined

Think this is one of the first times i've hit every one of my goals. They were relatively easy though but hey.

Miscellaneous

Slacked massively on meditation this month. It's gunna be actually so difficult to do it while i'm basically homeless over the next month or so too... Slept like a baby most the time. Could have read more, but started reading: [IMGhttps://i.gyazo.com/ee47a7848718ea784c4667d65a0ae4f0.png[/IMG] so so interesting. Felt i've grinded my ass of this month and besides a few days of B game, i felt i was A gaming about 85-90% of the time.

So many vpps this month too (45,500). Should be plain sailing to 400k now.

Goals for next month:

[ ] Cash or WIN either the IPT Malta €1k or €2k
[ ] 60k hands
[ ] Be mindful that sleeping on sofas + not having a home may affect my play and working through that rationally
[ ] Work through and write up in here about 3 different concepts in the MGOP

Couple more things. Read this article and it's put a great deal of fear into me about the future for pokerstars.

http://uk.pokernews.com/news/2015/10...ield-19256.htm

Lastly Card Runners made a post about an interview that i had with them. They have offered one of my videos as a freebee for a short period of time if anyone fancies checking it out.

http://www.cardrunners.com/blog/Offi...th-benabadbeat

That'll do for now. Really hoping i can find a bit more consistency this month - at least in my mental game if not my results.

Looks like you are checking the boxes for most of them monthly goals so progress will come if you keep it up the hard work. Rough start to this month but I'm sure you will steamroll past it if you concentrate on how you are playing and not results.

Maybe think you handicap yourself a little by checking results too often, but I know old habits die hard.

Good luck with the sofa camping, sounds like fun.

Yeah, we seem to be doing ok with goals but i'm definitely disappointed with my mental game, although it's overall still very strong i'd say.

I don't think checking your results is as big of a deal if you spend time worrying about them anyway. Sure, optimal would be to play and not care about the money, but there are other areas of your game that are more important to focus on, if it is super hard habit for you to break anyway.

Yeah, tbh i don't think that looking at my results effect my mentality all that much. I agree it may be optimal not to look but stand by checking my results don't change my way of playing

Haven't played this weekend. Spent most of yesterday moving house.

Was a really stressful day to start with but then unfortunately we spent the evening at the hospital due to a family emergency. (charlottes family)

Today started off ok and then i got totally ruined in every spot and then spewed off 2-3 buy ins at the end. Puts me down a good few thousand for the month.

Got a really busy week with everything going on - moving out the flat, working the 2 placements and i suspect going to the hospital too. Will ofc try get in hands but i think it's probably a good idea to stick to just 200nl so as to avoid huge swings.

Hey jimerz, thanks for the support and advice. It can be really easy to find yourself in a spot where you've overdone it so i'm trying to be as mindful as possible to not let that happen gl with your goals!

                    ---

Today was very full on. Started with a new client along with the other 2 that i see on a Tuesday. Kinda going on from the comment above i took the time to mentally prepare myself for a grind after 'work'. Spent a good amount of time meditating and getting into the zone. It was kinda amazing because i just could not focus. Thoughts were bouncing all over the place that in a 20 min meditation i had no more than about 2 minutes in the whole time where i was clear minded. Kinda goes to show how important it is to take time for your brain to have a break especially when there's a ton of stuff going on in your life.

Anyway, started the session the same as every session over the past 3 weeks with KK v AA twice, a couple bad beats and standard coolers vs fish. Dug in deep and ran better to turn my first decent session in ages.
