Hope your gf is recovering ok... that sounds freaking awful! Super jel about Alan Rickman - he's such a legend!
GL with the job result too... Even if it doesn't work out this time I'm sure there's another opportunity right around the corner
Thanks tom, glad to see you're still around lurking. Yeah charlotte is pretty much better now fortunately. Also thank you for the vote of confidence! How're things going in Oxford? Long time no speak.

Yooo, so latitude was loads of fun! Saw a ton of really great bands that i love and also found some new music that i'm getting in to. Portishead if any of you know them. More than anything i enjoyed being away from my computer and phone for a few days. It's kinda unreal how easily sucked in to monotonous browsing i can get...
I was able to go to the festival because my brother in law owns a company called Mission Explore that helps kids to get out into nature. The stand was for kids to make clay creatures using natural resources. I worked a few short shifts and it was actually so much fun. Pics below:
The 'crew' campsite. Way better than the general public! Had showers and loads of space to camp.

Charlottes seriously fkd up voodoo thing:
Chill zone in the woods:
Some crazy tribal dance that one of charlotte friends was in:
Alt J set. This gig was absolutely out of control good, easily the best i've seen of them.
Interestingly in the Portishead gig, Thom York from radiohead came on as a special guest for a couple songs. He then did a DJ set in the woods but unfortunately pretty much every single person in the festival went there and they hit capacity. Really annoyed about it still!

Session today was alright, felt i played ok considering i'm still shattered from the weekend. Had an interesting pot too. I would love some feedback on this hand vs a good reg, Rednaxela747:

In other news i got a call back from the placement about my interview and i'm thrilled to say that they've offered me the second position! I am so so happy that i was able to hold my own with a bunch of extreme academics/professionals and come out on top. I'll start seeing clients in the new school year (around september) and over the next month or so will be inducted and have an opportunity to meet the whole team. Feels awesome to have something concrete lined up, particularly having finished my studies and feeling a little unsure of what to do next.
That's it for now, glgl!
