Off the back of Aprils end-of-month downswing, we unfortuantely continued the trend. My volume took a massive hit, which as we've established always happens when i'm losing. Torn between working on that element of my game and just allowing it to be part of my poker process. That being said, my quality of play was right up there again.

Just a couple other things that some of you might be interested in hearing. Firstly, Ben Saxton, the author of the 2p2 magazine (it's quite hidden in 2p2 so i only just found out about it) got in touch to do an interview thing and write up for the June edition. Really cool for someone to have followed my PGC for so many years and decide to get in touch to do this. Thanks a lot Ben! Here's the link. Would be curious to hear what you guys thought of it!

Also, pretty big news, but i've decided to postpone the last year of my Masters. I'll be fully qualified at the end of this academic year, however, due to having studied for the past 4 years, I'd really like to travel and play poker. For that reason, I'm going to do the South America/Asia/Australia thing that so many of you guys have done. Super excited about it and it feels like the right thing to do for me. I'll likely be heading out of London in September, then back for Christmas, and then elsewhere during the UK Winter, to return for Summer + complete my studies in September 2019. I've informed my placement and university, so the wheels really are in motion.

That's pretty much it for now then. The month is gunna be very packed. LEGGOOOO

Travelling plans sound fun mate and I think you have earned a year off of studying. Getting out of the UK during winter is defo the GTO play I reckon. Read the 2p2 magazine article, very interesting and honest account of things as usual.

"I think it’s the one of the most viewed and replied-to threads on Two Plus Two"

Wow didnt realise this thread had that stature, I think you have reached 2+2 celeb status now

unfortunately inaccurate info.

the GTO play is to visit London once and never come back to UK again and should be a pretty obvious play

if you are stupid or unlucky (born there) enough to end up being based there the GTO play is to get out asap never come back. Yes i made this mistake and yes im not proud of it...

also you wrote about "winter in UK"???! I have no idea what you mean by that. UK has one season all year and it's called wet autumn

Haha I wouldnt argue with that analysis, I have been threatening to move abroad for years but never took the plunge. Ended up with a mortgage before I could escape now it just feels like too much hassle when I consider everything. I am in Scotland as well, London is like fookin DisneyLand compared to up here, 90% of the year is winter

Great piece. I love the way he puts it into writing too. Nice to see somebody be so not full of themselves while giving an interview.

London would not be my choice of city to live in, but I'm sure you could have a ****ing great time there if you actually wanted to.

The UK is a diverse place, if you did not find somewhere that made you are happy then that is on you. It's not like Vienna is so much better weather wise. Stop being so narrow minded.

While I agree on the diversity and Timstone narrowmindedness part you are as wrong as wrong can possibly go on the weather part. It’s like day and night

Really appreciate that you post the losing months too. Most pgc's are very one sided.

June will be the comeback month imo

It's sad that you feel this way... I really do wonder what you are doing wrong to meet only these type of people. That is far from my experience living here.

just friends from being in school, even the high iq friends I used to hang around with who went off to oxford etc are still into drugs and warehouse project etc, maybe you ran good or something but I genuinely don't know one person who isn't on drugs/smoking/ only wants to go to the pub to drink

I’ve lived in the UK all my life and I don’t think this is true. I think you’ve just had an unlucky experience. Wherever you go you’ll meet all kinds of people. The drug, alcohol partying type you’ll find everywhere.

UK is a pretty good place to live for many reasons and why a lot of poker players move here in fact. The biggest downfall imo is the cost of living and weather but for social, safety and general diversity London is one of the best.

Where are you from @deathorglory0 ?

have to agree with tasty, the vast majority of young ppl (in the area that I've grown up in; lower-middle class) are not interested in the bigger picture, and instead live paycheck to paycheck binging their money on weekends and expensive items they rly can't afford

that being said, I do believe the UK is a very gto place to live in, although this is highly subjective

also, best of luck in June!
