Barely been playing the past few days. The weather has been sick, so I've been playing sports/taking it easy. Played a couple bean sessions and made ~500 bucks. Still stuck a ton for the month, so will spend some time grinding it out this week.

In other news, I've applied for another counselling course. Hopefully I'm going to move my credits over from year 1 and join another college (really close to my house) practicing a more integrated course. By integrated I mean Ill be learning a couple other therapeutic models which will be fantastic to add to my skill set. Im currently learning 1 model (person centred approach) which is awesome, but feel that ill benefit a lot more from other models such as psychodynamic and Cognitive behavioural therapy. Will have an interview soon which is really exciting and will keep the thread posted with any developments.

At the moment i'm counselling teenagers, but to fully qualify i'm going to have to have 50 adult hours too (50 sessions). Ultimately i want to open my own practice working with adults who suffer from anxiety, phobias or depression, preferably young men, 18-30 years old. There is a very strong need for young male therapists as it is a profession dominated by middle aged women. Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, but personally, i would rather see someone who i could relate to, rather than someone i felt had no clue about my world.

Sounds great. You are really in the right line of work. When the economy turns down for real and we will experience the biggest recession for several generations you will surely have a lot of 18-30 year olds to councel.

Thanks man, let's hope people can afford it though!

Things still really really boring. Just having to grind out of holes every single session really. Got some more interesting hands now though which is good.

3b is a tag reg, other 2 are fish (one super passive) Felt that calling pre was fine as i dont mind going 3-4 way post with this hand. Obviously can easily 4b though. I think i should be folding river here given how much Qx i have when i call 2. Frustration just got the better of me:

interesting hand vs pretty good reg. I think that i have a ton of triple barrel bluffs here (KT, 9T, all Axhh, 56hh etc) to make value shoving the river good. He beyond snap called flop and turn too which makes the shove even clearer given he probably doesnt snap call sets (if he has them pre) and probably has to call 2 with KJ AJ or JT.

Kinda weird spot vs a spaz reg. UTG open was from a big fish so i think calling pre is fine but could prob 3b or fold too. I'm waaaaay too much at the top of my range to fold imo and i look super weak by the river too - my best hand looks like AT or Axss:

I'm taking some serious time to do a complete hem review with a good mate of mine, also a sick grinder, to iron over some bad leaks. Already found out a ton of stuff i was doing very very poorly so hopefully it'll be beneficial! We also won football tonight, 7-0. Great to keep a clean sheet as they are so rare in 6 aside!

its around 225nl. I thought it would be higher than that, but given so much of my volume is 200nl it makes sense. Thanks mate, hope things are going good for you!

I certainly would consider checking with those hands, and did consider checking in hand. The deciding factors were that he had extremely low river aggression (not to mention low agg on all streets) and also felt he may just call it off with 9xhh or a random 67 hand. Generally vs fish i don't like to check river to them in the hope they bet, cus as we know they are far more likely to check back a pair here but reasonably likely to just call it off

vs a fish I'd often bet river for $84 again on this particular runout as their range is usually weighted towards hands which can't call a shove.

vs a monster whale. I decided not to raise flop or turn cus i was really wary that the reg would shove and fish would fold. Whilst that isnt necessarily a bad result, I was sooo deep with the fish that i didn't want him to go anywhere. Clearly his river call suggests he wasn't going anywhere at any point....

In other news, I've been asked to be a coach for Card Runners. I'm still deciding whether or not it's something i want to do, and whether it would be worth my time/$$$.

Will keep here posted with updates.

Probably not playing much over the weekend as i have plans, but hopefully we can grind out this hole some more! glgl

Think I must've caught some of that runbad from you. Having my first losing month in ages and also running a good bit below ev. Had 2 winning sessions in a row so I'm also hoping the comeback is on.

Anyway, goodluck getting out of the hole, you're halfway there.

Also, re the cardrunners thing how did that happen? Did they contact you out of the blue? Just curious about these things

just read last few pages, you've been in the trenches that's for sure!

gl m8 keep up the grind, as for being a coach its something that in theory sounds fun, but in reality it's a lot of work for very little pay. from my experience being coached and coaching others, coaching others is only worth it imo if you have a piece of them in the games as the information departing you is worth far more than you can charge :P

Yeh i've spoken to a lot of guys about my options on this. A few have said prolifically, DO NOT DO IT, but other have said that sharing knowledge makes you a far better player. As one of them said, it seems that everyone overestimates the amount of guys who are actually going to exploit you because of your content. And if they do, as a reasonable player, we can adjust and counter their adjustments. Afterall, that it the nature of poker. Don't worry, I would not do this unless it was seriously great money. Thanks for your thoughts

jesus your friends are monster ******s.

Do you know how many micro stake private coaching sessions you would get a week if you were teaching on CR? Why do you think the NL coach there are losing regs yet still able to play up to 1k when they started coaching at 100-200?

Seriously, make 3 videos you'll be making 20k a month in coaching.

When its done send me 1k for being the only person with half a brain.

Yeah just put "CR Coach Bena" in a coaching thread title and watch the pm's come flooding in. It also helps that you would be in the <1% of CR coaches who can actually still win.
