Urgh I would hate to play pool like a nit. It's all about the aggro games! We play a cushion rule where every shot at least 1 ball has to hit a cushion (obv not if you pot a ball). This makes it far harder to snooker and forces more action!

Agree slug, but snooker too hard man

Yeah that's part of world rules iirc which are great for the game imo. Unfortunately my league is very amateur night and won't incorporate them.

Edit: fwiw being a nit definitely has its place in pool but being too nitty/negative is terrible.

So, started in my school yesterday! Was ****ing weird being back in a school and introducing myself to teachers as an equal, not a student..! My clients were cool, obviously i can't talk about them too much. I've got a mix of genders and background. Just cannot wait to get stuck into the work every week

Only had 1 session this month which went well but nothing major to post as of yet.

In other news, the football league restarts today!!!! So excited to finally start playing again after missing the last season. This season we're missing one of out best players (dw folks, not smb) so it's gunna be a serious struggle. Will see what we can do though! Games look abysmal but will put a grind in. glgl

The reasons that betting would be good is because I thought that i don't have a great deal of showdown value (i expect a good player to follow through on the river with his 2 barrel bluffs) and would fold out his better 1 pair hands due to how credibly I rep (he probably doesn't expect me to turn Jx into a bluff here ever).

Slowly regrinding my losses from a couple of days ago. Games were seriously dry today and there was sooo little action for the first couple hours. Won a couple nice pots at the end to turn it into a decent day.

Sick hand vs a good reg who destroys me daily. Was so tilted to see his hand!

This was vs a really good reg(?). I called behind a monster fish and another reg - thikn my call pre is pretty std. Post flop i don't think i can play my hand any differently given my blocker to mid set and bd fd/sd. Not 100% sure what i do on bricks that dont give me the nuts, probably check back. I couldn't have been more surprised when he turned his hand over. Surely there are like a million better hands for him to call down with here..:
