Last few days (running hard under EV in the first 8000 hands of these sessions but it's all good . And low volume but with good reason):

I m studying, playing or doing work related things every day, just like a serious pro should baby. LET'S GO !!!

Since my live stint is concluded I figured I'll tell you a few stories wink, wink:


A few months ago I was playing and a new player sat down to play. He's a big guy , very chill and friendly let's call him Jonnie.
We start talking about this and that , how are thing going where he plays, where I play...etc
He sees me playing for like 7 hours and at one point we go outside to talk. He tells me that with my style I should be running people over in that game, that I should get a big roll and just play because I'd do very well. I tell him that I kinda know that and that the only problem I have is that I'm underrolled for those games (especially the 2/4/8 game), and I thank him for the compliment.

We sit back down and we continue playing. There's a very loose aggressive player at the table, let's call him Rocko, he can be dangerous due to his aggression at the table. I got into a hand where Rocko opened to 40 euros and me and 3 other players called. I have TT.
Rocko says: "Guys it's 4 vs 1"
(I was that 1, lol)
Rocko: "He can't beat all of us".
Flop is something like 853, it get's checked around.
Rocko: " Guys bet , any one of you"
Turn is a J. It get's checked around again.
Rocko: "Bet guys, he can't beat all of us"
River is another 8
Rocko : "Bet already someone !!"
We all check again.
People start flipping their cards over, and I'm the last one to do so. My hand is best. EZ 200 euros.

Rocko: "God dam it! I told you moutherf*ers to bet !!"

ahahahahahahahahahahahahah


The night continues, at one point I remember I got short for the game, I had just 550 euros in this 2/4/8 game which pretty often was straddled to 16.
I'm dealt 66.
Hand is straddled to 16 and UTG+2 opens to 50 euro , I call in HJ with my pair of sixes. SB and BB call too. Rocko is BB.
Flop is 863 with 2 spades.
Pot is 200 euros already. SB checks, Rocko bets 160, UTG+2 folds , I go all in, SB folds, Rocko snaps me off.
I ask Rocko if he wants to run it three times and he sais no. I instantly flip my cards over. When he sais that I have him crushed (he had a naked flush draw) he sais:"I'll do it 3 times then"
And I say: "No"
I lost.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha

After that I had to move to the lower 1/2 table and lick my wounds .
The big table remained short and Rocko and Jonnie were going at it hard... swings were in the thousands...



I went on a few downswings in this live period.
I remember around the same time I went on a 2,2 K downswing and I decided to play only 1/2 until I recuperate at least 2K.
I went to a club (let's call it Golden) and I sat down, the owners like to play in this game, because they're players too and because of this the table started earlier since there were 2 extra players at the table.
Anyway I sit down and I ask the owner: "This is a 1/2 table right?"
Owner: "It's 2/4"
Me: "If it's 2/4 then I can't play. I'm on an ugly downswing"
Owner: "Hmmmm, all right, let's do 1/2 then."
Cool of him to do me a solid like that.
I recovered pretty quicky ...

I have to say that I always managed my downswings well.
I think the first pillar of a poker player should be bankroll management, for me personally it's number 1 by far.
I thought to myself: "You want to take shots, sure take shots, but within limits."

I'm content with how things went overall even if I made a lot of mistakes, it's OK, they won't happen again.

At this point I can play 25 NL online extremly confortably with the hundreds of buyins that I have.
I have the luxury of being able take quite some time to improve. I find that to be fantastic.
Anyway my coach said to do 100 000 hands at 25 NL and then if I'm doing well just move up, since money is not an issue, even for 200 NL. I'll take another session with Uni and Brokenstars soon, I just have to implement everything they taught me.

I took a shot at 200 NL, it didn't go well, I lost two buyins.
