I kind of am on a similar grind to you, trying to have success in a normal career, sports betting and poker (MTT). Unfortunately I enjoy my job a lot less than you and it seems a lot less lucrative
How are you picking your bets in general? Are you finding value by comparing odds across bookmakers or do deeper analysis of a certain sport?
Best wishes!
Awesome man, nice to see people stopping by, it gives me more motivation to keep updating
What kind of work do you do?
I will do a bigger write-up at a later date for those interested, but some of the cliffs:
- Yes, I bet on medium-small markets and I have access to many bookies where I compare odds and try to find value. Our "national" bookie Norsk-Tipping is sometimes reaaally slow on updating lines and picking up news. This is where I make most of my profits. I have decent contacs locally in handball and football, and usually get a headsup if someones missing players or fielding weak teams.
Im also a member in two VIP-groups (silly name) for betting, which is a paid service. The biggest one is a specialist on belgium and lower league Norwegian football (the Bodø/Glimt bet I shared was from him). He has a decent trackrecord, so im happy there for now.
I also love to make seasonbets with friends/colleagues, and big market betting for fun. The key part for me is to have a set bankroll and play with units, so that you never go broke in your betting bankroll. Let me tell you, if you get used to a certain betsize in dollars and keep feeding your bettingbankroll from your poker and liferoll, that is a slippery slope.
Back with a bet tomorrow, which is a big one for me unit-wice (9-units, where 10 is max).
Much love to any1 still reading!
