I will also post a daily bet which I personally are backing myself, and if we hit 5 winners in a row I will stake five people who comment into Mini Sunday Million or any other 22 USD MTT.

Todays bet: Bodø Glimt over 1,5 goals (soccer).

First bet is a winner!

My bet for today, good odds for a great player in-form.

GLGL! LMK if anyone is down for the freeroll, helps the thread regain some momentum.

Hi,

I just wanted to say that I've read through your blog and really liked and it would be cool if you keep updating it.

I kind of am on a similar grind to you, trying to have success in a normal career, sports betting and poker (MTT). Unfortunately I enjoy my job a lot less than you and it seems a lot less lucrative

How are you picking your bets in general? Are you finding value by comparing odds across bookmakers or do deeper analysis of a certain sport?

Best wishes!

Awesome man, nice to see people stopping by, it gives me more motivation to keep updating What kind of work do you do?

I will do a bigger write-up at a later date for those interested, but some of the cliffs:

- Yes, I bet on medium-small markets and I have access to many bookies where I compare odds and try to find value. Our "national" bookie Norsk-Tipping is sometimes reaaally slow on updating lines and picking up news. This is where I make most of my profits. I have decent contacs locally in handball and football, and usually get a headsup if someones missing players or fielding weak teams.

Im also a member in two VIP-groups (silly name) for betting, which is a paid service. The biggest one is a specialist on belgium and lower league Norwegian football (the Bodø/Glimt bet I shared was from him). He has a decent trackrecord, so im happy there for now.

I also love to make seasonbets with friends/colleagues, and big market betting for fun. The key part for me is to have a set bankroll and play with units, so that you never go broke in your betting bankroll. Let me tell you, if you get used to a certain betsize in dollars and keep feeding your bettingbankroll from your poker and liferoll, that is a slippery slope.

Back with a bet tomorrow, which is a big one for me unit-wice (9-units, where 10 is max).

Much love to any1 still reading!

Good to see you here man

Yes, its very big. Both the women and mens national themes are top 5 in the world, and basically everyone plays handball during the younger years. Not alot of money in it though (our national league), but once you go out in Europe (Germany, Denmark, France og Spain) the money is pretty good. I think NL-endboss limitless used to be a huge talent in handball, and almost made it.

I will do a bigger writeup this weekend, with some pictures of my life.

In the meanwhile, here is my little guy all grown up:

Since this is a diary/blog to keep me honest regarding my progress in life and the goals I set for myself, I would like to share a yearly-goal that works for me.

The 01.01.2021 (yes, I know newyears resolutions is a farse) I set a goal which worked around the number 150. I dont know how I came up with this number, but it made sense in more ways than one.

150 workouts (cardio, strength, boxing or padeltennis).

150 million NOK in new assets under management to my firm from my clients.

And two more regarding my personal networth which I dont like to elaborate on. Writing this post in late august, I have almost completed the work-related one. The workouts is on 88, which is par for the course.

I printed 3 Excel-sheet and put them up in the guestroom (or my office at home) and crossed every singel one. Stuff like that, a goal that "faces" me every single day, works very well for me.

also: busted the WCOOP 2!! minutes before end of day 1, which was OK since it was an 18bb pot flip. Will play a heavy schedule this weekend in WCOOP, will update

I sometimes think back about the days with 90% poker and 10% "normal" stuff. I often woke up thinking "is this it? this is my life?" and not being particularly satisfied with it. There were a ton of things I wanted to do and experience that I simply wouldn't do if I didn't get out of my house and away from my computer. The biggest motivator isn't like, the love of doing all these other things, or something. I am motivated by my future self, looking back on my current self. I want to be proud of myself reflecting on my life, knowing I didn't pass up too many opportunities for memorable experiences. This is probably not the best attitude, but it is sincere.

Whats up! Hit a rough patch the last days online, but nothing I cant handle (bricked some WCOOP and a tough PLO100 zoom session.

I seem to always update here when things are going smoothly, so I will try to keep myself honest by posting now.

Will be back battling tonight, and all day tomorrow since its bankholiday. Will try to post some hands and pictures when I have free time

Bet for today! Bodø/Glimt -1,75 asian tonight! GLGL those tailing

Im about to finish a PhD in Engineering/Data Analytics. Work is appaeling, but the pay isnt unfortunately.

Recently I am thinking a lot about if I wanna move on on this path or if I wanna completely change direction. I recently found out that Trading companies sometimes hire engineers for quant heavy roles.

I find these VIP/Tipster services really interesting and could see doing something like that myself. It just seems that most of them making their predictions based on fundamental knowledge and not really on analytics/data (which is probably what I would try to do).

May variance be with you on the weekend

I 100% agree on both points, and I think I get how your thinking. Nice too see you in here, glgl with figuring it all out! My nr1 advice is to enjoy the work/hustle on the way to reaching your goals, the end point/dream is not always the way you imagined.

SOOOO, ended up hitting a nice heater

Played almost 10k hands since Friday, won around 1100 + this nice surprise:

Will play full schedule today, will update if I hit something big.

Looking forward to United-Wolves today, I still cant believe this is real:

09-06-2021 , 05:34 PM
Again a longer time that I wanted before updating, busy at work. In a very good space with working out regularly, and playing a lot padel tennis (3-4 times a week).

Got invited to play a live game locally, will update. Hoper everyone reading is well.

Pretty big downswing, followed by a mini-heater. Big writeup coming later today, alot of stuff happening in my life (both good and not so good).
09-18-2021 , 03:23 AM
Hey, OP, don't keep us waiting like this
10-15-2021 , 06:21 AM
Oh boy do I have some stories to tell. This time im back for good.

Cliff notes: The "not so good" thing that happened was that my grandmother passed away, who I was very close to. Im doing very well now, but stuff like that always sucks.

The more good thing, which I will elaborate on in a bigger writeup:

- Sick heater online, MTTs and cash.
- INSANE heater betting, lower leagues in Norway and some Brazil.
- High stakes padeltennis-games versus on of the guys I mentioned earlier from the big homegame from years back. So funny/cool to meet these guys outside poker, but still gamling big.

Cliffs of MTT-heater:

Won the 22$ PLO PKO
Won the 16.5PLO PKO
Won the 27$ PLO PKO
2nd Omania 55
2nd 27$ PLO PKO
2nd 22$ PLO PKO

And currently FT of the 16.5PLO PKO, with around 600 up top.

All these scores have come inside one week, and I ran my Stars-roll up from 2.5K to 11K in rocketspeed. Stars somehow lets me fire huge on local 3rd and 4th division soccer in Norway, which is close to half the upswing. Wonder if that lim ever will come in, I hope not.

I have been reflecting on how special it is that I seem to beat the 11-109 PLO MTTs on Stars every year, when I have been absent from the regular grind for 4 years. I Sharkscoped my all-time results for PLO MTTs this week, and its crazy. Happy to be in this spot, both as a challenge and a nice side-hustle which I still love.

As im writing I just went from 7/8 on the FT to 2/4, will update tomorrow. Much love to those still reading, please drop some Qs.
