Why is hero jamming on the flop in hand 3? This is horrible. Either call or raise to something like 6.5K please. Going all in is lighting your stack on fire.

Hero has a 100% ROI in these tournaments, I think he knows better than you.

Yeah I haven't complained yet but I still plan too.

Anyhow, your mind is made up, so am rooting for you and have been enjoying this thread. GL bro
Yeah it's crazy i know.

i can't argue that you are wrong from a GTO perspective. i overplayed all 3 hands i posted really and got called by lol worse hands each time.

in hand 3 i sat there for a minute or so before shoving and i just got a feeling that i had the best hand. its hard to explain other than the impatience i sensed from the other players and the looks i received. so considering the way the first 2 hands played i thought all-in was the best play.

i literally played the hand perfectly according to the fundamental theorem of poker so its hard to criticize my play. but i get what you are saying. i might not have explained the live reads well enough the first time.

Thanks buddy, I'm gonna figure out how to use some free video editing software and add hand graphics eventually. Hopefully the vlog gets better!

Phil Hellmuth Jr. was at my table today! Looking back I wish I had brought this up and told him it was the greatest hand ever. Fail on my part!

Bustout Hand

Level 11 Blinds 600-1200 ante 200 9 handed

Hero BB(19k) AKcc

MAWG Villain#1 MP (25k) AQos
tightest player at the table by far, when he opened i knew i needed a premium hand to continue.

Phil Hellmuth Jr. BTN (35k) 88
Ive seen this guy on TV!

Villain#1 opens to 3200. Phil Hellmuth calls. Sb folds. I look down at AcKc in the BB with a 19k stack I have the easiest shove ever. I shove, Villain#1 reshoves for 25k or so and Phil Hellmuth folds 88 face up.

Flop Q8x turn blank river Ace and I lose. That's all she wrote.

More hands/breakdown in the video.

I regret not selling action as much as I regret not buying the winning lottery ticket yesterday. I can see what numbers were going to come up today so I regret not picking those numbers yesterday.

That is to say I have no regrets but I have learned a great deal. Again I like taking my own action in this tourney especially considering how well I think I played. Of course if I could see the future and knew AK<AQ I might try to sell action. But selling action is negative ev I don't care if you guys agree with my estimated ROI or not.

You also have to consider I just am not a very social person. Like for me to go around and sell action I have to talk to people. Yuck. Half kidding but I really didn't want to go around trying to sell action and I'm freerolling anyways and I know my ROI>MARKUP i could charge so that added to my attitude of IDGAF about selling action.

I'm a gambler at heart. I'm not a statistician trying to make a living at cards. I'm a man trying to make my way in the world gambling, taking risks. Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Better luck next year! I'm going to do my best to make it back into a 10k tourney by the end of next year ( hopefully I can play in this same event next year). We shall see.

That's pretty awesome that you got to play with some of poker's best players, did Phil Hellmuth Jr. blow up when saw the 8 hit the flop?!?! (I can see him steaming, I knew I should have called, I knew it!!!)

Sucks that you busted in Level 11, especially when you got it in so good. Better luck next time, on to the next adventure.

Re: the lotto ticket, it's not like that. Its more like you won a $10,000 lotto ticket that had a million dollar prize and someone offered to buy a share of it regardless if you won or not. And didn't you say someone offered to buy a piece of it? Maybe I"m remembering it wrong. But if you just want to be a degen then have it brother lol!

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys.

Phil was cool about the 8 hitting. It's early in the tournament and I shoved a hand that made sense so it's not like I got him to fold in a spot where he shouldn't or something.

And I played it cool too, I wished everyone there good luck and didn't let them see the burning anguish that I felt when that queen hit. Pure suffering. But that's poker.

ok dont come in here to gloat. you are making yourself look bad imo. asking me "if i regret it or have i learned nothing?" i let that go and you still come back in here to make sure everyone knows how right you were and how smart you were. and to pick a fight with me. well good for you buddy you are so smart arent you?

you are a micro grinding poker player with no sense of what it is to be a gambler. you have a losers mentality in my opinion. risk little and win little play small and be small is your motto. dont come in here and talk to me like you know something i don't or like you are smarter than me when you are not. i will bet you $500 i beat you in a basic math test and i will play you heads up til the sun comes up, kid. keep betting on yourself to fail, keep paying vig to take insurance. you aint a gambler. you cant hold a candle to me! enjoy your life of mediocrity that's so terrible you gotta bring other people down. when one crab tries to leave the pot all the other crabs claw him back down. you a jealous crab.

go over my previous statements ive been over this. i understand i took a huge amount of variance by not selling action in this tournament. i would do it over and over again. why? because i believe in myself. if not this tournament then im going to make money playing in cash games. so im fine with taking the variance believing that my ROI is much higher than markup i could charge. IM A GAMBLER. im going to make a million dollars playing poker, eff this tournament I will do it the hard way!!!!

I didn't mean to get you so upset or pick a fight but the stuff you posted in response to me was silly and I felt I had to reply. I am happy not holding a candle to you in gambling, I have no desire to be a degen. I'm a low level beginner and I know it. I'm sure you are way more skilled than me. I like using bankroll management and working my way up. I wouldn't play you heads up as I'm sure you're better. It's - EV. So not smart on my part would it be? Still I shouldn't have posted, especially in the way I did. It was ****ty of me, no excuses.

I have a good friend that is a degen and lost his house to it and there is no long term way to win without bankroll management. He's very talented too but always ends up broke and he's had several six figure scores. He just can't help himself. It's sad as hell to me. You seem very similar to him.

You know you can have incredible self belief and still limit risk at least somewhat right? They don't have to be mutually exclusive. It doesn't have to be all or nothing all the time. It's just being smart about it and that's what I meant about learning. But it's your life man and all the best. I hope you win millions and make your mark. I'll be the first to congratulate you and sincere apologies for being a jerk about it.
