If anything consider her a practice girl. Getting the douchebaggery out of your system will be +lifeEV in the future. Being an ass to 1 person is usually intrinsic in one's nature. You may not realize it but this probably carries over into numerous areas of your life that you chalk up to bad luck. It comes across to me in the very words you type. Work on that bro, and suddenly things will happen for you.

Doing well can't complain. How's things with you? I check shove a lot of my value hands when I'm in that mode. I'm ok with my sizing because I'm not trying to push him off any hands. I want to keep his range wide open since I'm completely crushing it with two pair. If I bet bigger than he folds a big part of his range. That said it's just super obvious the only hand he can take a double check-call check raise river is exactly 54 and I can just exploitively fold. I didn't cause I was in a bad mindset.

Telling someone who calls me "boy" that "I'm a 31 year old man" is being an ass? Clearly you have lived a sheltered life glass javi. All sorts of things must offend your precious sensibilities, you're probably mad reading this right now.

See this is what I'm talking about. You gotta stop with the projection/hostilities. A woman called you boy and meant nothing of it. The fact that you read so much into it speaks volumes of your insecurities, and now you're attacking me for the very thing you should be fixing on yourself. Your approach is akin to someone posting a HH and then defending every mistake they made. Instead of fighting everyone on this subject just concede and accept that you must be wrong.

Actually she was being rude by calling me boy and I could tell by the expression she made when she asked if she should call me sir. It's absurd. Of course you should call me sir. I wouldn't even call a child boy or girl I would call them "young man" or "young lady". Why not just call me young man? I'm clearly not a boy playing at a 21yr old casino. I'm there everyday not playing with daddy's money. Her calling me boy needs to be called out. She did it before and it's just not polite. She needs to get over whatever her problem is and treat the people she serves with manners. I'm not out of line putting her in her place. I drove a bus, I've answered phones, I've worked at Dodger Stadium as a vendor. At all of my jobs I would never have called a grown man a boy. Bus driver is literally synonymous with everyman job. Bottom of the totem pole. I don't think I'm better than anyone else but I deserve to be called sir or at least not boy by someone bringing me my food.

I think you may have misspoke or bad English. I could accept that I may be wrong. I really don't think I am though. This lady has some issue calling me sir or young man. It's probably a cultural difference or something because she's Chinese, but guess what?

What really upset me about her calling me 'boy' is that she just assumed my gender. If you don't find that offensive in 2018 then you are just a hateful bigot.

For the record I'm non binary gender. Which means I don't fall on the usual male/female spectrum. I'm also gender fluid so my gender changes based on my mood and what suits me. I can be a million different genders all in the same day.

Thats just life man, work with it, use it as a conversation starter with her or someone else. He's supposed to be a poker player right? So think a few steps ahead and consider possible results for his actions. What possible good comes from how he handled this?
  1. She thinks hes a douche
  2. Table thinks hes a douche
  3. Other waitresses now think hes a douche
  4. Dealer thinks hes a douche

And all for what, so that he'll no longer get called boy and be offended again next time? Something that probably would not have happened a second time anyway. Thing is if you want to be treated like a 31 yr old man then you need to act like one, because this type of reaction is certainly not what I'd expect from a real man.

OP, if you want to correct someone in a situation like that, then you need to be calm and polite when doing so, especially since a very real possibility exists that they have no malicious intent. Really the best way to handle it if you insist upon correcting her is to assume that she had no intention of disrespecting you. Being immediately offended doesn't do you any favors
