Hero opens to $40 from utg Villain 1 raises to $120. Already red flags are going off in my head. I had been playing tight, this player hadnt been getting out of line and now he is raising my utg open. I think he would flat jacks and even queens here some of the time at least. I don't like his raise one bit.

SB jams all in for $555. The right play is probably to call and then fold if V1 raises. My instinct was to just fold and only lose $40 in the hand. I didn't do that however so I jam all-in. V1 quickly calls and I know what that means.

He has aces and there are 2 more aces right on the flop, flopped quads, so there goes any hope of winning. Half the table starts yelling "King" for a jackpot. Lol. We don't catch a king, not that it would matter, it wouldn't be jackpot.

So I lost 1700 today. I played kings like garbage and should have just let go of them. I will do better. The thing that really sucks too is I was going to get up and leave after this hand because I didn't really feel like playing anymore. Lame. I play bad and I feel bad.

I wonder if it might be helpful to move down in stakes for a few sessions to get back on track and get a few wins under your belt again.

Thank you for that very sage advice. You know it's so much easier for me (or anyone) to take advice when it's given as someone else's wisdom. Like if you had tried to give me that advice as your own opinion it would be less well received but since you mention its advice you read in a book, my brain isn't trying to qualify if it's good or bad advice and it just kind of accepts it I think.
