I'm chip leading the $162 30k monster stack guaranteed right now with 92k stack, still really early. Player 205. I tripled up first hand or so with AA all-in pre vs 22 and 99. Then doubled up next orbit with ATss flop JT6sxs. Blinds 250-500 ante 50 and we got it all in on the flop vs 65os. Thanks. Also in the $55 nightly right now player 653. A few places from making the money.

You really just gonna continue playing 200NL? I mean you're basically overrolled for 5/10 but youre not gonna give 2/5 a shot now on bonition? Also what is the 1 thing you are going to treat yourself to with some of those winnings if you already haven't? Congrats again!
Thanks. I was looking at a replica sweater from The Big Lebowski that looked pretty cool. $240 though. Still haven't made up my mind about buying it. I don't like spending money on things I don't really need.

I thought you'd say a reliable car with a warranty which you can obviously avoid paying interest on since you obv got the means now to pay cash. Although some will want you to keep the van atleast for a little while now that you shipped a MTT for 6 figz for reasons previously stated in this thread lol

$162 buy-in 380 players 5th place for $2635. 1st place was $9200 btw.

Last hand we busted folds to us on the BTN we have ~380k blinds 25-50k 5k ante and we jam big blind big stack calls with AJhh. King in the window was the first card I saw so thought I was going to suck out but there was an ace on the flop too. There were 3 stacks 1MM+ and one 600k stack so don't feel too bad about busting there. GG.

Also up a few hundred at 200nl.

My lesson (which may or may not be right) is to play way tighter than everyone else recommends. Especially as the short stack and especially nearing the final table.

Nah I like driving a van. I just gotta find a girl I can impress in ways other than a nice car.

Or maybe I just spend all my money and buy a lambo?

Who Are These Minraisers?

Hero BB ($203) AcAh
Villain BTN (covers) T9dd

UTG+2 opens to $6, villain min 3bets on the button to $10, we cold 4bet to $30, utg+2 folds and villain calls.

Flop ($63.65) 953xdd

We bet $20 and villain minraises to $40, we 3bet to $80 and villain calls.

Turn ($223) Kx

We jam our remaining $93 and villain takes an absurdly long amount of time to call given his hand.

River ($409) 3x

And we win.

I think I'm overrolled for 200nl lol.

hey dude very sick sick run and long way from where you were. congrats enjoy it brother.
I am suprised (or not suprised) about that player who finished 3rd with the 84o hand and his strategy etc. . I sent you a pm, hopefully you can get back to me. I have some ideas about a certain player type I have seen in the MTT field recently. Lets be honest, who is going to reg a 535$ mtt, get thru a field of 2k ppl...and vpip, 3x open 84o on 9 bb, playing for 140k...If i could watch every FT $109+ in the world face up in the history, I wonder how long it would take me to find someone who vpip 84o on that stack.

So I got your pm and I'll just address it here since it's basically the same thing. I'm not gonna send you any hand histories cause I don't want you to waste your time. I don't think there is anything nefarious going on. Some players just play bad and get lucky. For example I was playing in a tournament last night and I had a player call my open with Q6 vs my QQ and then he proceeded to bet call it off on a 532r board for a lot of bbs. I've seen people call all-in preflop with 52os. And these guys did not win the hand they just bust out of the tournament right there. There are a lot of these bad players on bovada/ignition. Where do they come from? No idea. But they exist and they usually lose or bust out early in the tournament. In the $535 there was a guy who open jammed two hands in a row for 50bbs. I called him the second time he did it with AQ and lost to 66. I went back and checked and the first time he jammed he had Q5os. I'm sure if you followed him that he didn't finish in the money even though he was running hot for a while and ran up his stack to 90k early. That's just the nature of poker, sometimes the bad hand and the bad player wins. And since there are sooo many of these bad players in any given tourney, it stands to reason that one or two might make it far like 3rd place. I'm almost certain this 84os guy is not doing anything nefarious, he just got really lucky this time.

Here's the hand so you can see I wasn't exaggerating.

Probably not that bad honestly. 3x should steal the blinds pretty often and he leaves himself some chips if he gets jammed on he can fold 84os. Not sure if he would fold to a jam though lol.

I don't think that's what's going on here. Can't ever know for certain though.

You mean to say he wasn't chip dumping to his alt account? I mean that's always the most likely explanation for anytime someone makes a bad play don't you know?

13th in the $162 30k monster stack tonight for $650ish bucks, 395 players. Busted A2dd 8bb jam on the button and called by QQ, gg. Busted the other two tourneys I played.

I'm thinking about making a video going over the hands from the monthly milly. Anyone interested? I like Every Hand Revealed by Gus Hansen and want to make something similar. It's 500 hands though so I'm not sure if I should go through each hand or just hands I vpip maybe. I'm not sure yet. I vpip so few hands though and I think some of my folds might be interesting. One thing I know is that I need a different replayer than drivehud or to figure out how to configure drivehud because the biggest chip denomination is 100k so at some point the chips start blocking the screen and the hole cards.

Top Set vs Top Top

Hero SB ($333.45) KK
Villain UTG+1 (covers) AKos

6 handed

Villain opens to $7, BTN calls and we raise to $30 and only villain calls.

Flop ($64.60) K65ssx

We bet $20 and villain calls.

Turn ($104) 2x

We bet $60 and villain calls.

River ($224) Jx

We bet $223.45 and villain calls. Easy game.

Up a little over 1k overall today.

Hey rick. Congratulations on your recent success in online poker mtt's. Are you playing in the $162 150k today? A video of your hands would be watched by me. I also loved gus hansens book. His book does show how someone plays which is good to learn from. I personally prefer going over hands in that method of watching or reading about how a player plays a hand in a particular situation.

Thanks. The 150k is tomorrow but yeah I'll play it. Not sure when I'll get around to it but I definitely want to make a video breaking down some of the hands I played.

there was a $162 150k today on saturday.

Also are you considering changing your stragegy and playing super loose? You got the roll now to start playing like durrr or moorman1. How about getting on the apps and playing PLO 6 card?

Oh ok, I didn't see it. I played a $300 tourney and a $1055 tourney as well as the $55 and busted all three. Oh well. The 1k I busted in 52nd with JJ with a short stack all in pre vs AA and TT. Top 44 made the money. If I win that hand even if I just steal the blinds I can probably limp my way to a min cash.

I'll play the 150k today. Probably a couple of other tourneys too while I'm playing 200nl. And I'll take a shot at 500nl soon too, maybe in a couple of weeks.

No need to fix what isn't broken, I'm gonna keep playing like a nit. Sticking to Ignition for now, in time I might venture onto the apps. I like playing games other than NLHE too so we'll see. I'm gonna keep playing and trying to get better.

Played 4 tournies tonight and cashed 2. Busted in 19th in the $55 nightly for a 200k pot, I limp in SB with KK and BB jams with A9 and flops and ace. Blinds were 4k-8k. And we min cashed in the $162 30k busted with TT jamming 4bbs EP and got called by the BB with 96os and he made two pair. Then we of course bust the thousandaire maker in like 20th place. And we max late regged the $500 mad monday tonight and very first hand we get it all in preflop AK<AQ. Tournaments are stupid why do I even keep playing them?

But how bout that bitcoin guys? I only wish Tesla had waited a couple weeks to disclose they bought a bunch because I can only withdraw 20k every 3 days from my poker account. So they could have timed that better for my benefit.
