i think it's been more or less proven that v late regging is the the best strat

i dont know much about mtt's , but i think it's just smt like the chips won early on arent worth much (risk) + maybe that late regging improves itm % or smt but less sure about the 2nd one.

Played a 5/5 meetup game yesterday at the Hustler with Espen Jorstad. That was pretty fun. I bought in for $300 and won 1600 over about 4 hours or so. Early on in a double board bomb pot we get it all-in vs one guy with T8dd on T83r and QJ7ddx boards. So, top two and gutshot plus flush draw. Other guy has Q2 and we make the flush on the second board to scoop. Also we were playing the 72 game for $25. I get 72ss in the straddle and loose player had opened to $50 and one caller. I jam ~550 and they both fold and I show the 72. Another bomb pot I have QThh on KJ8hhx and JT4r boards. So open ended and flush draw and second pair queen kicker. Got it all in for 800 or so vs something and scooped.

Yeah that's what I think pretty much, I think late regging is the best strat for most tournies.

3/569 in the $325 high roller on iggy for $13,826. This was literally a chip and a chair scenario. Starting stack was 10k and I had a ~65k stack and got it all in preflop vs a guy with ~63k or so. I was down to 1 ante less than a tenth of a starting stack like 750 chips. Ran it back up finished third and had 750k at the peak so I literally one thousand upped in like a couple hours. Fun stuff.

I guess I remembered it a little wrong. I blame it on the beers. Blinds went up to 3k-6k next hand so I was down to 1/5 of a big blind. Half of that was anted so I had 750 in front of me at the lowest point. Crazy. Weird, the guy who ended up winning the tourney was at my table here, player 161.

you play the 1k maker tonight? absolute atrocity on the ft. 7th paid 875, top 6 1k. chip leader went into ft with 10:1 in chips over everyone else and could've folded to 1k. he found a way to bust 8th lmao

The whole debacle with Robbi vs Garrett on HCL is really interesting to me (as I'm sure it is to everyone else). The opinions surrounding the situation seem to be fairly split 50/50 which makes the whole thing more intriguing. It seems the people who believe no cheating occurred are not entirely certain but believe the evidence leaves plenty of reasonable doubt. Whereas the side that feels cheating occured somehow seem convinced on the evidence of one suspicious hand that cheating definitely occurred. Even if it turns out some sort of cheating did occur I don't feel it vindicates people's summary judgement based on the flimsy evidence. And I don't think any cheating occurred. It seems all too reasonable that she made a bad call because she's not a very good player.

And then after the hand the way Garrett acted was very bad and interrogating her etc. Made him look very bad. Taking back the money seems especially egregious to me. Without levels of evidence we saw with Postle, Garrett is going to take a reputation hit for making an accusation of cheating so quickly without reviewing the whole footage and without any solid evidence.

All that being said I'm going to hedge my bet and go out on a limb here and say that Eric Persson, who was sitting next to Garrett, saw his hand and tipped off Robbi across the table by silently mouthing "Eight-Seven" or something like that. He seems like the type of guy that would do that. You heard it here first folks!

Lol that's hilarious. Nah, wasn't there I don't think I'd ever blow that type of lead. There's just always pressure between the short stacks to play chicken and reverse race to zero that you really don't need to do too much there. It's rare that the short stacks start jamming with enough frequency to stay afloat, they almost always start chipping down in hopes the other shorties will implode/bust before they get anted to death.

That tournament is so much fun and I feel like my edge there is just so massive compared to regular tournaments. The dynamics that arise are more fun to really think about and also it feels closer to a pure form of poker where you get to play the player and play the situation more than playing you're actual cards.

I'll leave you guys with a dramatic story from the other night. Playing 5/5 and a situation occurs where an asian lady is all in and there's a side pot between a reg and another player I've not seen before. The reg starts talking to the other guy about "what do you have" etc. Not once or twice but a few times. So then I tell him you guys can't talk about your hands with a 3rd player all-in and the dealer agrees and says the same thing.

Now I don't remember the order of everything else that happens next since this happened Wednesday and I've been smoking weed the last few months so my memory isn't perfectly reliable but I'll retell everything I recall. So this idiot's first inclination is to argue that it doesn't matter as in it doesn't affect the odds of anything. Obviously he's wrong and I point it out to him. Then he keeps talking about his hand. Specifically saying he has an overpair.
And I don't just immediately say anything. I don't remember when I said something or what I said or if he engaged me first but eventually we were talking after the hand and he was saying the amount was small so it didn't matter which I said was wrong and then he started asking if $45 was a lot of money to me which I started asking if he was insulting me etc. and I was telling him "you know when you're wrong you can just apologize and not double down on being a jerk" or something like that and he's a ****ing baby and just says "you know what I'm not going to apologize just because I know it's going to piss you off". And then I'm pretty sure I loudly call him an @sshole and tell him fcuk you and flip him off. LOL. His face was worth it.

This grown man baby calls for the floor and starts saying he's gonna get me thrown out and you're not allowed to say f you. And a new floor I don't recognize comes over and he's like no I want a supervisor, which is pretty insulting to this guy and a mistake on his part because the supervisor that comes over is April who is a former dealer who remembers me. And she tries to figure out what's going on and talks to the man-baby who literally whispers his story in her ear while cupping his hand to block the noise and block me from reading his lips. LOL.

Then April goes to the dealer and asks her what happened. And I have to preface this by saying that this dealer while waiting to sit down sees me, we look at each other, and give each other a little nod. So she's cool and I like her but after this I love her and if she were a little younger I'd ask her to marry me. Her version of events was basically this man-baby was talking about his hand when he wasn't supposed to, the young gentleman kindly asked him not to, as did I, and then he continued to talk about his hand. The end. The man-baby chimes in and his voice is two octaves higher "That's not what happened you're leaving out the rest!". OMG LOL!!! I literally don't give my side of the story because it's pretty obvious what happened. April says not to talk to each other and leaves. I'm sorry that I created a hostile environment but not sorry that I swore at this jerk off. Honestly if it weren't illegal I'd have liked to give him an educational beatdown. You can't go around breaking rules and disrespecting people like that. Because honestly I think messages like this literally need to be beat into people's heads. Not that I'm gonna be the one to do it. But we'll see if this man-baby changes at all. I'm not gonna change .

I'll leave you guys with one more story from my past. I may have told this before but whatever, this happened in my 7th grade English class. Students would usually get to class early and talk until the period began. Sometimes continuing after the bell rang. On one day the bell had rung and almost the entire class was still chatting while the teacher was trying to get everybody's attention. I was sitting in the front of the class full attention like a nerd. She was a meek older woman who did not command authority and it pissed me off to see the class disrespect her. Or maybe I was pissed off because I didn't have anybody to talk to, or both, who knows. So I yell, literally at the top of my lungs, "SHUT!!!! UP!!!!!!!!" so loud nearby classes must have heard me. You could hear a pin drop after that, those jerks listened to me. The teacher gave me a little "thanks" and then started her lesson. That's the type of person I am, I choose violence. Fully ****ing spectrumed out!

Am I the A-hole?

Thanks. Yeah mostly full ring cash 200nl and 400nl and too many tournaments. Been playing live a little bit here and there and I'm going to be playing a whole bunch live in the immediate future. Games seem really good, or maybe I'm just used to fighting Russian pros.

The other day at the casino I think I met the most annoying old asian man ever. He was asking and interfering with the dealers. There was a brand new dealer who needed some help, but then the next dealer is a 20 year pro who knows what he's doing and is trying to argue with this old man that he's correct. Old man trying to pay 1 blind to post instead of 2, not understanding why the table change has to pay 1 and basically just everything is questioned and argued. This guy then takes a lunch break (there's no board and a seat open on our table and like 8 tables running, I'd just pick up my stack). He comes back from his lunch break and requests a new set up, as soon as the new set up gets there, I swear to god, he gets up and changes tables....Wild.

So last night I was so close to winning the loncar. I finished 2nd for ~$4900, got to heads up 3:1 in chips and lost. Had a couple of shots at winning it, oh well. I played very intuitively yesterday and my "feel" for what the right move was spot on. It was fun and I was winning flips and cruising right along down to 10 people left when I ran into Aggro_Aram (aka Aram Zobian). He raised and I jammed 900k chips (like 20bb) with AK and he calls with AQ for a little less, flops trips and wins. I'm left with 70k, he has 1.8MM chips. Long story short, I finished 2nd and knocked him out in 3rd. That felt so good I only wish I could have followed through with the victory but it wasn't meant to be.

There's a 1MM guaranteed $630 on ACR today. It's a 2 day event with only 2 day 1s. Only 350 people yesterday need 1300 people today or it's gonna overlay. I doubt more than 1k play today.

Hell nah dude. I grew up going to church and I read the bible, there's a lot of stuff in there inconsistent with who I am. Poverty and chastity are not virtues in my book. If I was going to pick a religion it would be judaism.
