Yeah I think it's a combination of things. Playing 5/T on such a short bankroll without much of a backup plan is very stressful and I'm sure contributed to me playing sub par. That and it's possible that I had a bad run during that stretch and lollive sample sizes are extremely limited compared to multi tabling online.

But I also think that 5/T is harder than most people give it credit for. At least the euro heavy games that I was playing at the Commerce. For example 200nl online has a 3bet percentage of somewhere between 1-5% on every table. The 200nl games on Ignition are just very soft and very passive. Compared to 5/T live which I think probably has a higher 3bet percentage. I actually think that those games are just tougher than most people think.

We'll see how things go in the future. One thing for sure is I won't be as under rolled as I was back then!

i think the real key to playing live is to play deep stacked where the horrible rec decisions of chasing gutshots and overplaying top pair become 300bb mistakes instead of 100bb mistakes - it does wonders for your winrate

I mean this honestly with love and respect Rick’s humility more than anything but he is a terrible live player with awful instincts and I have taken his money bluffing and calling his bluffs countless times in LA and he shouldn’t pursue it imo and stick to online but the tax situation etc makes it very tough

We're in the money but very short stacked player 550. Min cashed the 150k and still in the high roller.

Started running it up. Limped into the money blinds 5k-10k with only 25k stack. Doubled up a few times up to 200k. Then lost a big all-in with AK<JJ all in pre. Had 1bb left, quadruple up, then lost an all-in SBvsBB 77<92. Still pretty good to make 1k off a zero dollar investment though! 3/4 cashing in the monthly milly on the year.

On the bubble in the $325 high roller right now 119 left 108 paid, if we can cash this we'll be 3/3 for cashes on the day. I'm up a few buy-ins at 200nl today also, so all-in all a good day. =D

Haha same here. I have a trick when I'm socializing with friends and dont want to kill the vibe. I just smoke like i would smoke a cigar which is dont inhale. Just enjoy the flavor of the smoke and no one is none the wiser. You'll still catch a slight buzz but nothing like inhaling. Weed got too strong over the years and now it makes me paranoid. I can tolerate 2-4 hits but that's about it.

So I just got my monitor delivered from Amazon and set it up. I like it a lot, very happy with it. At first I couldn't figure out how to change the resolution. There wasn't an option in 'appearance and personalization' in control panel. And then I just closed the lid on my laptop thinking maybe if I turn off that display it would work and voila. So now I should be able to fit 24 poker tables on my screen at once so I can play 4 tables of cash games and as many MTTs as I might want to without overlap. Maybe I'll start playing on other sites too. We shall see.
