Live poker - Where will it take me? Live poker - Where will it take me?

Okay so this is my first post. I have been reading twoplustwo for as long as I can remember.
I live a small country in northern europe. Im 40ish and have a very nice job as a soccercoach. I will stay anonymous, as poker is not something I can be accociated with in my line of work. People will for sure feel I have a gambling problem if they were aware how much poker I play.

I have a secret dream of quitting my job, leaving my appartment, sell my car and just go see the world playing poker!
Its probably not gonna happen, because it would be crazy! If I leave my job its hard to come back and get a fulltime job in this business. Im kind of succesfull and have never had a "real" job.
But then again - I really do want to follow this dream!

Anyways - I have made this thread to talk about poker and about life!
Right now Im in a hotelroom in Malta, just arrived.
Im here to play poker, get drinks and enjoy the sun, before the new pre season starts in 11 days.
I will do kind of a trip report. My plan is to start up with a €110 donkament tonight and then play 1/2 1/3 or 2/5 for the rest of the night.
Feel free to ask or comment anything

First session in Malta over!
Played like a donk in the tournament and won in cashgame
Tournaments: -110
Cash: +500
Total: +390

The structure in the tournament was awesome. 30.000 startstack, blinds 25/50, 25 min levels.
The level of play was decent but beatable.
I win some small pots and then this happens..
The HUGE donk on the table makes it 700, blinds 100/200. I Call with pocket fours - two more callers behind incl. a loose passive fish in BB.
Flop 468r, chk to me, I bet 1500 in 2800.
Fish in BB raises to 4200 and I KNOW Im beat - Call!
Turn king - he bets 6600 - now Im positive Im beat - Call!
River jack - he jams, I snap and he show the obvious 75
I still have around 10k so plenty of time.
Next blind level is 150/300 25 ante.
I limp utg with 66 to get it in.
Perfect situation - utg+1 raises to 1000, three callers and I jam(Cashgame just started) folded to BB, who snaps with Q3o and the board runs Q73Qx

Anyways let play cash.
The first table of 1/2 is full and I wait 15 minutes before I get a seat.
I have a few standard things I do when I play in a new casino, where I am unknown!
Its not rocket science, but it usually works.
You have to give action to get action
Show a few loose raises and bluffs, players will never forget it.
So first hand:
Some guy straddels to 4, button calls, I raise 24s to 16, and C-bet A96 - fold, fold and I show obv.

I had three interesting hands
First two are against a 55ish old woman from Malta. I Think She is a reg in this game and She must be loosing.
Callish preflop and on the flop and then gets nitty on turn and river.
Game is 4-handed and I raise 74s to 7 on the button. She calls in BB.
Flop is AK8, and She chk/calls my 6 C-bet while She says: "That was a very small bet"
Turn 9 and She donks 8. ****, I cant help it and raise to 40. She thinks for a minute and calls.
River 3. She checks and I cant stop myself and bet 80. She thinks for like 5 minutes and folds. I have to show. Suddenly She makes a sound like a bear, that just woke up from hibernation.

An hour later next hand vs her. The table is now full.
She limps, another limper, CO makes it 9, I Call on the button with AJo, BB calls, and She calls.
Flop 359 is checked around.
Turn is a jack, that makes a flushdraw. BB bets 15, both Call - I make it 60 and the sleeping bearwoman calls as the only one.
River is another 3, the third spade. She checks - I bet 80 and She snaps and folds, making new sounds.

So the last hand Ill tell you about was actually before the two other hands.
Tight, solid player makes it 7 utg. A few callers and I Call Q9 on the button.
Flop is JT4. Solid player bets 12, fold fold and I make it 40, he calls.
Okay, so this is okay. I can fold out AK now or on the turn, KQ maybe on the river. And maybe even overpairs. Or I could HIT gin.
The terrible mistake is on the turn. It hurts my soul just to repeat my action!
Turn is another 4. He checks and I bet 80! How stupid can I be? Overpairs are going nowhere now! He Hollywoods for a minute and raises to 210. I muck feeling like a HUGE idiot for not taking the free card!

But allover it was a good session. The game wasnt supersoft, but it was fine.
Tomorrow Ill sleep in, have a nice breakfast, do some running, go to the beach and play another session
