Meh, just too regfested for my liking now. A 15% roi is pretty decent now, and 25% and you're killing the games, and you can get heaps more volume with a 10% ROI in 18s, plus they fill 24/7 quickly at all levels up through the 38s. Never hurts to learn new games either, does it?
08-26-2010 , 12:27 AM
well, didnt get in a ton of volume on the day since i hung wiht a buddy most of the day, but i did manage to get in 2 quick seshes of 18s....this is partly why im switching from 180s to 18s on stars, i can get in decent volume in a short time.

slayerv1fan 57 $3 $6 43% $159 - N/A PokerStars 8/25/2010 8/25/2010 E18-18 SNG Only

Ran pretty well and I was feeling pretty good about my shoving/calling ranges. Hoping to keep this up as I add tables, and obviously to get in more games per day.

and heres how todays gone, for top 5 of 100 in the $5 turbo 20k
08-26-2010 , 06:02 PM
Decided to finally move up to $5 45s/90s and $3 turbo's, while I also do the $2 180s just for fun. Played about 12 45s this morning and cashed in over half of them and took down one which was good. They do fill quite slowly though so I might switch my roll over to Stars although I've heard they are quite a bit tougher than FT, what do ya think?

ftp 45 structures are better than the stars structures which leads to less variance. Plus the $11 45s fill quicker than the $5 45s on ftp (yea, serially 11s fill like 2-3x as fast as 5s) and are really soft compared to the $12 45s on stars that are regfested like crazy.
08-26-2010 , 06:18 PM
Yeah I do prefer the structures on FTP compared to PS, it just erks me that the games I suit the most fill unbelievably slowly.

yea, thats why im moving away from 180s on stars and gonna play less 90s on ftp since they only fill quickly in the afternoon/evening US time, and 18s on stars fill relatively quick most of the day up to the $60s. Just gotta keep working on my bubbles/ICM/etc

btw to the blog: Heres my short session results; i have a sinus infection and my head is pounding and I tried to play a sesh, but i was running bad + not feeling well so i cut it short. Gonna do some HH review for myself and then with some of my horses

I'm a 109-210$ sng grinder on party, 4 multitabaling usualy. (now got some br problems but will get back at those stakes in 1 month) I play 80, 10man sng a day and people at my stakes are respectable grinders with big cashins at online and live tournaments also and they are normal guys like me, except that some play more.

As I was reading this topic I was like WTF !!! I'm 17 and too old aready for the game ? Wtf is this guy talking about table ninja, multitabling 40+ payng 45,90 man sng's wtf ??? a 45, 90 man has nothing to do with the format I call sng (stt I mean). Wtf are these guys doing out there on stars and tilt. People use sng wizz, watch pxfactor etc. but for Christ sake what's that **** "table ninja" thing.

Anyway tons of respect for u man if u can grind like that and use all that stupid technology like that "table ninja" in the same time (still expect somewone to tell me what it is) but be carfull not to become too chaotic and keep things str8 and clear: you gota have a profit, be carfull cause with all that chaos when u'll rise the stakes u won't know if u'll be in variace of normal roi.

And man... carfull at ur style. You're not old school like us wild west guys that play classic 10 table sng's, not even 9-handed. You look like maniac ps2 player loving poker or full time job employee with all that table ninja thing around there. Keep it classic man.

well, i got crushed at 18s the last few days. Went over my HHs and im playing pretty well, missing some shove spots but I'm working to patch that up. Just the negative variance of 18s I guess.

This weekend is SNG Madness on FTP (starts in 45 mins) and I'm looking to get in a lot of volume on ftp.

Might put up a post later, if not I will on sunday night/monday after SNG madness

what are you going to be playing for SNG madness?

gonna start with $2 9s since my main goal is to get on the overall leaderboard which is the top 2 scores in any 2 hour block from each group, A through D. 6.50s are on the bottom end of Group B, so I wouldnt have a chance at that group, and $2s are obv the top end of Group A. If I put up a really good score right away on friday or saturday, Ill play $6s and maybe 12s.
08-27-2010 , 04:54 PM
Playing a bit of S&G madness myself, playing the 9man 6.50 turbos and they seem pretty soft. Maybe just the promo attracting all the fish
08-27-2010 , 04:55 PM
meh games are really soft so im actually gonna just play 6.50s and maybe some 12s later and say screw the 2s even though atm im #2 on the leaderboard for the block

edit: agreed lyger, thats why im saying eff the $2s for overall comp and going straight to make the $s
