haha yea, its a 25 mtt sched; not that bad. So ill be trying to get in 75-150 180s in with the mtts per day; and then maybe 1 sesh of 20-50 18s depending on how i feel per day.

im glad im motivating you to play more; more tables imo

To the blog: Im pretty effing tired today; just gonna play the rest of my mtts out; freerolling my mtts for the day from 180 profits even though i ran lol bad
09-12-2010 , 04:36 PM
hello page 4....let me be the 1st to say, nyg is starting the season undefeated! 1-0 lol
how do u make diff stacks? i tried but they are too messy and tn brings up the 1 sticking out when i try to act on the 1 previously brought to the top
09-12-2010 , 04:38 PM
i was gonna try 1 stack of 9mans 1 of 45 mans but too difficult rt now, unless i keep 9man stack on 1 screen and 45man stack on the other...
09-13-2010 , 02:49 AM
yea with TN i have to manually stack which kinda sucks.

If im playing 3r/12 180s and mtts, i have a 3r stack, 12 stack, and mtt stack and hten my 4th stack is for 180s that i hit the bubble of. It gets annoying sometimes but ive gotten quick at pulling the tables around the screen quick.

To the blog:

I had a meh day today; bubbled and FT bubbled like 6 of my around 40 180s. I also cashed I believe 6 of 19 scheduled mtts i played and bubbled a few more, but i couldnt get anything going late.

Tomorrow I will be up by 11 am to late reg the $2 turbo 5k and then start regging my mtts; ill be filling in with 3r/12 180s; hoping to keep around 20 tables up most of hte afternoon/early evening.

Heres an updated graph for SNGs on the month.

Gonna go to bed soon; finally got my sleep schedule under control

Wow too much work, I would spew too much trying to move all those tables around; maybe get an AHK to put them in their own stack automatically (check this out; you can prob modify it for your needs)

The $3r 180s are so ridic soft, idk about the lower stake MTTs (so many ppl w/ small prize pool; $1r is good tho but could cut out)

thx for the link, appreciate it. I'll try to work that out.

Yea idk, a lot of my schedule is turbos, and I wont play every mtt every day, i just think over a long period of time there is tons of money to be made in micro mtts; and playing 180s with the mtts fit well with my routine.

There will be tons of days where i just play the turbos and then like the 11 40k, 20k, 25k, 5.50 20k and 8.80 12k just since they get the biggest prizepools. I do believe that on saturday and sunday i will play my full mtt sched though since the prizepools get bloated

I think I'm pretty ghetto I play on a 17" crt monitor and I just flop the tables around around randomly and let them pop up, I don't know what that's called but I call it the floppage method. Hopefully I make enough money to buy myself a nice widescreen lcd would be things about 10000000 times easier.

over/under on what page josh will ship a big mtt? I'm going with 7.

Hey there,

I just saw your thread and read the whole thing, (48 mins) and I like the way you have your life at age 19 all set sailed.. i couldn't believe the hating that was going on. To others who were hating, I'd like to add that in fact if you are doing something to make a living off of, that is your PROFESSION. Congrats on the goal so far and i hope to see even more progress in the future.

Now for questions i'd like to ask you, if you don't mind answering. I started playing poker in the last few months as i've been watching it for over a year now thinking i've learned many things. I deposited 50$ to each full tilt as well as poker stars thinking im going to be a winning player doing so. Before starting I did learn about BRM but i then broke it when i was playing losing almost both my 2 bankrolls within the month. As of right now, i am very tight on money for my schooling so I am left with 2.12 on fulltilt as well as 3.48 on pokerstars. I have read this whole thread and noticed you giving great advice to people and them coming back to you with great results doing so. I started using pokertracker and it's helped me out a little bit when playing 2 or more tables to get a small read on players. Now to questions...

-Is there a way to get a FREE pokertracker or HEM... if so how can i do this?
-How would you recommend I start up without having to go to dreaded freerolls
-As well as how did you become so great within a period of a year?

Congrats on the progress so far and i will be following your thread and keep you updated on my situation if you will help me out. This would be very much appreciated...

Thank you.

I guess I can answer for josh.

You can get HEM free from their site for 30 days (trial) or you can use their signup code and unlock it instead of a deposit bonus. (obv not encouraged but it's possible to get it free other ways). Stick with one BR since <100$ you can barely grind anything. If you can depo 20-50$ then do it to skip freerolls. 2NL, 4FL, 1$ dons, stts, mttsngs or husngs can be a fine starting point. The point is to grind something you enjoy playing, otherwise you won't have any encouragement to grind it out.

Not 100% sure where josh started grinding, but I'm pretty sure it was sng format games, where you can learn them by using a program called SNG Wizard. It's pretty much the bible of turbo sng games. Otherwise, the best way to learn poker is have friends who are better then you and talk poker constantly. The books currently out for poker (90% of them atleast) are awful and outdated. Trust me when I say you won't learn a damn thing about beating online poker from "Super Systems" by Doyle or another book by an older pro. The game has evolved too much. Stick with reading 2p2 and posting in the forums.

Hope this helps and answers your questions.

Thanks for posting fast for me that was great.
So I can get the full version instead of deposit bonus?? That would be great didn't know that.

From the learning point from books... i know EXACTLY what you mean thinking big names like doyle daniel phil and gus... i went and bought the 4 ****tiest books on the market i assume; Super Systems, Learn from the pros: Phil Hellmuth, Power Hold em strategy: Negraneau as well as Gus Hansens Every Hand Revealed.. they were all no help to my game whatsoever do you think if i deposited 50 on FT there is a possibility i could make a portion of it back reading a specific book? I can play in MTT's for very long periods of time as well i can play SnGs pretty well but i would really enjoy learning cash games. Any ideas?
09-14-2010 , 01:55 AM
yea andy (inflames) was pretty spot on all over. I myself have always been a SNG/mtt grinder, and i dabble into cash games every once in a while.

for you, you should figure out how to deposit a small amount of money (like even 20 bucks) and id start with 10cent 360 man turbos and 25 cent 45 mans. Honestly, if you put in decent volume and learn to improve your SNG game, youll be moving up higher in no time.

Once you have like 60 bucks or so you can try the 1.10 turbo 45 mans; but what I would suggest is to play the 2.20 36 man satties to the $11 250k. Top 6 get a $11 seat and 7th gets $6. They are super soft and run relatively quickly and then you can unregister and take the tourney $s. And then move down if you fall below like 7 BI's for those $2satties. I'd only suggest this aggressive of BRM because as long as you halfway know what you're doing you cant rlly lose at 25cent 45 mans.

And ot answer how i became great in just a year; I've been playing for a lot longer than that, and Ive always taken HH reviews seriously and I do them often. SNG wiz is the single best tool a sng player will ever have as it makes you a complete player. And always always try to talk to players better than u like andy said; that helped me out a lot
09-14-2010 , 02:33 AM
are there any guides to using sngwiz to help your game

like someone actually going through the steps they do for a review

sng wiz site has some videos on how to use the tools that are pretty decent.

I just pull up universal replayer to look at the hands and then upload the hands in SNG wiz too so i can look at certain spots and plug in hands etc

to the blog: almost 1 million chips under ev on the month now!

09-14-2010 , 11:04 AM
lol, those are the only words i have to describe how ive run for the last few months. Today was just goooood awful; no matter what i played. And on top of all the badbeats (see the almost million chips im under ev on this month already), everyone just seems to have it on me. Like i shove otb with 8 bbs and the BB has AQ+, 1010+ just every time. Its getting kind of redic tbh.

been doing a lot of hh review and improving my game as much as possible; itll pay off eventually (unless it doesnt )

Taking the rest of today off; then back on the grind to lose more tomorrow.
