U still play 45s, do you think u still have an edge them w/ so many regs?
Haha did i steal the title? I honestly didn't look before I made this blog.

And yea, turbos ftmfw tbh.

And yea, I just started adding in 45s and had a lot of success in them, as well as my buddy max, so im going to be focusing on them and 18s this month. I believe I do have a very good edge in the games as I think I study my own and my opponents game more than the average reg does; and tbh, a lot of regs have leaks, most of them in the reshipping department (as in not reshipping light enough) and in shoving ranges (they shove too wide at like 100/200). We shall find out this month, will be fun

Alright guys, since I've caught up on answering questions finally, its time to give a monthly wrap-up and to get into my July goals.

First of all, on saturday night I believe, I got invited into a skype chat group with a bunch of different grinders, most from 2p2. I have to say, I've enjoyed the group so far and am looking forward to it expanding and also becoming more serious, as so far I've seen too much complaining about badbeats which I don't like hearing and don't care about seeing. Other than that small aspect, the group is great; we share our opinions on different HH's and shoot the **** while we're playing.

June was a kind of sighworthy month in terms of poker, as I had a big BE stretch at the end of the month after being up nearly 2k in the first 2 weeks of the month. My SS is blocked so I cant give you a SS line, but heres my final OPR line for the month of June, which is only missing a few 9-18s that i basically broke even on (might be small profit.)

$11,161 $1,763 19% $4.64 440 3% 255/2024 13%

I mean, the profit isnt bad for the ABI (thanks inflameswetrust for making me grind 2.20 180s this month hehe)

Here are my monthly goals for July

1. 3k+ sngs
2. 13% ROI at 45s on the month (will unblock SS at the end of the month to check)
3. Improve my 18 man game so Im at least a BE player
4. Have at least 1 4 digit score in an mtt (limited mtt volume though)
5. Get plat star again (lost it this month )

So far, I have ended this month badly by waking up today with pink eye in my right eye . Hopefully I get over this quick as it sucks not being able to wear my contacts when playing.

Oh and ib4 farting on pillow is cause of pink eye .

Good to see you're making money even if there was that BE patch, we need to have a catchup sir, been a while it feels like.

And in answer to the 45 q, yes they're still very beatable IMO, I am @ the 6s atm, but in a couple of weeks time looking to have moved up to the 12s, and in a couple months hopefully be at the 27/38 level.

Hey man if you want to make some kind of props get at me. Maybe we can both just set like targets games played for the month and say we'll have to pay the other 50 bucks if we dont meet it.

sure thing rusie (yea, im gonna make that your nickname ), ive never hit 3k games in a month and want to this month, so ill even go 3.3k games this month (just all games combined). I'll pay you $50 if I dont make it there; you can post yours in my thread as well or tell me on skype

A few good things to remember are to always use really good brm (I use a like 300 BI brm for my normal grind game and then i shottake higher at off times) and to be aware that if you're playing mtt sngs (or really any type of sng ) there can be huge swings.

thank you, and I've basically gotten ranges on different regs by going through my HH's. I then note on stars on my player notes what the calling range is per reg....if I don't have a note with a specific reg, I just adjust to my normal calling range (not gonna give out my specific ranges on people).

So here's an example of what my player note looks like.

Range= xx+, xx+, xx+, xx+
Jenniina Click for details 9,249 $1 $5 18% $5,766 - N/A PokerStars E45-45 x

The "xx" is obviously filled in with my different ranges for the player.

Another standard is to obviously call randoms tighter than regs, especially randoms from before the button as they just don't shove wide.
Solid advice , thx sir , gl with this !

Well I put in a short session last night after railing a buddy who lost QQ to 1010 deep itm of the $109 turbo 30k for the overall CL with 13 left .

I played somewhere between 20 and 25 games and I ended up aboiut $10 on the night which is fine with me as I'm not able to play on my normal setup upstairs until Saturday when we get a new modem installed. So I'm stuck playing on this desktop which isn't very good, and it lags with TN running and 10 tables up . So I'll be in low volume mode until Saturday which is probably fine as I can't wear my contacts right now anyway with pink eye.

I had one tricky spot today where I wasn't totally sure what the correct play was in a $6 45er. Its a pretty close spot. Heres a link to the hand

http://weaktight.com/2414538

The villian is a silverstar but is a breakeven player over only about 700 sng's, so he cant have much knowledge. Assuming that hes opening top 15% (which is pretty normal, it might be a little higher since he has the chiplead at the table) we have 40% equity in this spot assuming he never folds. So its 1.3 to 1 and I have 40% equity assuming he never folds, and after doing the math, we're losing about 150 chips if we shove in this spot. That's such a marginal difference that shoving cannot even be considered bad, especially because that calculation doesn't account for the time we win the hand and double, which leads to more FE. I did have a good 5 min discussion on the hand in my skype group and it ended I think with 4 saying shove and 2 saying fold; and like I said, I think in that exact spot both options (shoving and folding) are 100% correct.

Well besides that hand and that short sesh I put in, nothing has really been going on; I lost my plat star and am back to gold star, but I'll get plat back this month.

I'll be watching Burn Notice and then getting in a sesh tonight..good show btw if you don't watch it.

Yesterday I played a short MTT sesh at night with some 18/45s mixed in, and it must have gone well as I finished the day up about $100.

I got 32nd in a $2 6 max mtt last night . Haven't had much luck deep itm of mtts lately, but it'll come. I think most of my profit yesterday came from the around 10 45s i played and I think i broke about even in 18 mans.

Today I'm gonna be running a lot of micro mtts as I still dont have a new modem and am still stuck on this ****tie desktop.

Before dinner, I played a short session of 2/4 and 1/2 5CD. I honestly wish 5cd wasnt a dead game, as I consider myself one of the top 5 PL 5CD cash regs online, but theres only ever a few games going on at the 1/2 and 2/4 level, and rarely anything higher. I usually have about 2 chances a year to shine in tournament 5cd, that being the SCOOP and WCOOP. I didnt play the high scoop 5cd as it was a 1k buyin, but I did get deep ITM of the mid 109 5cd, cashing somewhere around 30th .

I have good notes on all the 5cd regs, and I also have a betting tell on one of the regs that I play with a lot. Heres a few highlight hands from my short ~500 hand session.

ugh just what we need...another reg

Finally got a new modem over here, but now all of the sudden I cant log into my pokerstars account from my laptop as it is saying that it is logged in on another location...which it is not. So I came back downstairs, turned the desktop on, and attempt to log into my stars account; and obviously have no problems. Sigh ****in sigh....I just wanna be able to play up on my laptop with my bigger screen
07-03-2010 , 05:24 PM
Alright guys, I am finally set back up on my laptop; everything is working fine and I'm ready to go. While I was waiting for stars to email me back, I played a short sesh of around 30 $6 18 mans and I made about $50 (this was on the tiltworthy desktop ).

Heres for future reference if anyone has the same problems that i described (where the client says I was logged in on another location and i knew 100% that I was not)....its called a hanging login and support can reset your account so you can get back into it from that location.

So even though volume has been low up to this point, I'm ready to get back on the grind. I will be going back to my old schedule that I was on before the modem problem where I sleep til about 1pm, play a sesh from 1:30-6:30, go do whatever til about 11pm, then play from 11pm-4am. I am honestly hoping to be able to get in about 200 sngs a day, and I rarely take days off (its the degen in me ).

I am going to be backing off the amount of mtts that I play as I have noticed it has hurt my volume when I do mix them in more, and this will allow me to build my roll quicker with 18/45s.
