Made day two with around 25bb, got some work to do tomorrow.

Might write up a longer post on today at some point but nothing too interesting happened, just a pretty tough grindy day.

Gl for day two!

I might play some of the grass roots events coming up and was wondering what you thought of the fields on these mid-ish stakes liveament.

I can imagine pretty soft but I still saw people like airdraken in the mix when looking at a pic on Twitter.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

I would say that the fields are pretty soft in general but you're going to run into a fair number of solid guys as well. A fair few London live cash players will jump in as well.

I think anyone with good fundamentals is going to have some sort of edge and can build on that. Definitely jump in and give it a go!

If there is anything else do let me know.

Hey guys.

Not the greatest weekend on the live tables, lost a little in cash and made Day 2 of the Pokerstars Main Event but I couldn't convert it into a cash. We reshoved ATs over a MP open for 11bb and the BB woke up with QQ. We had a lot of outs on the turn and river but couldn't hit. Congrats to all the London grinders who played and cashed!

Came home and decided to headbutt the 5NL zoom pool for a bit:

And cashed the Sunday Storm for a small return, I swear to God I'll bink that one day, didn't have the most fun bustout hand...

Here is YTD Cash:

I think my goals for this year are to grind a lot more online, cash and MTTs and keep selling action to small/mid stakes tournaments in and around London. I enjoy playing them a lot but if I want to improve I need to put in volume and study and I'm better off doing that at my desk than playing 1/1 and 1/2 live.

I have two more weeks in the office then I'm off for two weeks studying for my next set of exams. Poker will have to take a back seat during that time, I have two exam sitting left comprising 5 exams and I don't want to mess it up now!

I played the SS yesterday...card dry, watching the fish fest with 82o 96o, 72o, and on and fkn on...

Don't you just love it when you tank a stack off resteal, get it right, and someone behind you wakes up with a monster.

As in yesterday, 15 adj bb CO AJo, EP table fishy captain min raising wide as fk (and calling a lot), tank, yeah got to, BB = 16 adj BB AK

PS, some dude yesterday had a table count of 36. How is that even possible???

Good luck with the exams.

Apologies for the long break in updates but work has been kicking my arse. Many nights in the office past midnight on a horrible project but that's coming to a close today!

Haven't been having the best time on the tables, been pretty breakeven to be honest but I'm sure once I'm better rested and have more time to play I'll be back on form.

Had a bit of a busto to robusto early morning session I wanted to share:

Also going to show my YTD graph. Not super proud of it but it's a work in progress and I'm getting crushed time wise at the moment. Looking forward to getting more stuck in once work eases up.

This weekend I'm a bit torn. I could go play the Baby 5-0 at the Vic which is a £60 buyin with a £10k guarantee but also considering getting some friends round and doing a 12/24 ********** together, playing poker, them gambling etc. GF is back in Moscow for the weekend so have the whole place to ourselves so could get some people round.

I've heard from someone far better than me that the game is good. I better stick to blackjack.

A lot of drinking, a lot of blackjack, a little roulette. Ended up leaving a winner so can't complain. Also bumped into day'n'night who I haven't seen for a while. He was busy on the grind but managed to say hi.

Will post an update on the weekends play once I'm home from work. Final day on this project thank god. Been a long busy season and I'm ready for this to be over.

I can confirm after drinking this that this is true. My brother bought it as a punishment drink along with some other. This was the least bad of the three which also included red wine in a plastic glass with a foil top which tasted like it was trying to kill me.

So, a quick poker update on the weekend, we had some swings....

I'm not entirely sure how I managed this at 5nl but glad I pretty much got it back on track. I was so desperate to get back in the black but in the end I took a pretty tough beat that would have got me even and I just thought I should book a small loss. Ran pretty gross over the weekend (lol 18 buyin swings) but glad I had the chance to grind myself out of it. Not sure to make the pictures easier to see but the low point was -$84 which I'm pretty impressed with.

Finally off the project that has been killing me over the last few months and I'm now studying for my next exams, mainly from home. I'm going to try and be disciplined and study hard to make them as easy as possible but still looking to increase my poker time as well.
