Run better than me!! £1/£2 at Vic vs a bit of a fish, QQ all in on the flop v JTo (JTo 3bet to £50 pre for some reason) on T85ss, turn 4 river 10!!! Would have been nice to win that £710 pot...

Ah that's a tough beat, glad to have them in the games though! Keep on grinding and it all works out

Interesting hand:

Open QJo in MP to 10 and get called by sb and bb.

Flop comes A95hh and I cbet 18 and both call.

Turn Th and it checks around.

River Ks, checks to me, I bet 50 and small blind insta jams for 275 more, bb folds.

I hold no hearts.

I don't cbet this 3way, especially live where 'don't disgrace an ace' is probably actually a thing. As played I don't fold, he can overplay 2 pair etc.

Where were your drinks? Is that Duck and Waffle / Sushi Samba?

That QJ hand just seems like villain will have a flush all day long, I'd fold.

its pretty weird for him to check a flush on two streets though.

is your rep very aggro on table?

maybe he has king 9.. i dont know.

depends completely on image whether i call or not.

prob just a fold.

For what it's worth I act, dress and look like a massive fish so I do get people playing back at me a lot. Hand seems to have polarised people, from snapcall to snap muck.

based on that info i would prob call.

what happened in the end?

I have polarising thoughts in my own head. On one hand, villain has check-jammed the river in a live game, snap fold. Other part of me is saying we have a flush and villain has checked 2 streets including river, snap call!

Went to Henley this weekend, got a little out of hand.

There are plenty more photos but not really ones that should be allowed in public...

A few of the England rugby team were on the table next to us having a blast before pre-season, great lads and had a good laugh with them.

Must've been a crazy 1/1 game to do 5BI lol. Some nice sessions around it though. Keep it up

Was a combination of running badly in a few spots, one big bluff that went awry and playing suboptimally. I'll put my hands up and say I found it harder to concentrate in a £1/1 game with people playing 50-80bb stacks. I def called some people down too light in some spots.

Interesting session tonight at £1/2, couple good hands. Apologies, exact positions and bet sizing not always correct but am improving my note taking at the tables!

3 Limpers to me in the SB, I raise to 14 with KQ and aggressive BB 3 bet me to 35, folds to me and I flat.

Flop comes Qx75x, I check and he leads for £52 and I call.

Turn comes 8 and he snap shoved for around a pot sized bet. He was a younger guy, had been getting a massage for the best part of 2 hours and had been very aggressive.

Spoiler:
I called off and he had 64s for the turned straight and it held on the river

Next hand:

CO (eff £600) opens to 7 and BTN(eff£400) 3 bets to 25, I flat in the SB with AJ as does the CO.

Flop comes KJJr and it checks around.

Turn comes 6 and completes the rainbow. I lead for 25, CO raises to 75, BTN folds and I call.

River comes 5. I lead for £130 and he calls with QJ. I'm not 100% sure about this river spot. I have put some thought into his range and what combos are in there but would be keen to hear your thoughts. I'm off to work now otherwise I'd type it all out!

Results for the evening; after busting a full 200bb buyin I made it back to book a 85bb winning session.

KQ looks wp imo

AJ not sure about pre, think its OK though
river I would check again, he is repping Jx+ for value ott and will bet pretty much all of those hands again otr, as well as some potential bluffs e.g. QT, AT, AQ, T9, Q9 etc
if you lead river he will fold a lot of his bluff hands, and if we get raised there it's not a great situation

The BTN who raised was making a lot of 3bets but playing pretty badly post flop. It's close but I reckon it's a profitable call here especially as original raiser was nothing special.

Agreed AJ is probably a check call on the river, spoke with Ben and he felt the same.

Not my best session last night, again dropped £400 but going it back to a £62 loss. I'm definitely making some poor river decisions and have talked through with Ben how I can improve.

I doubt I'll be playing tonight as I have the Standard and Chartered City Race, 5k through the City. I'm going to die...

I'm officially dead today. Ran the race and got round in under 30 minutes which was my goal, not bad considering how unfit I am these days!

Went on a massive bender last night, got home at 3:30 with some company and ended up sleeping through my alarm and being an hour late for work.

Pumped for a big weekend on the felt, going to go and have a nap at home and head up around 10-12.

About being late for work... I'm someone who has a knack for sleeping through alarms, how likely am I to get fired if it happens 4-5 times/year?
