Been "playing" since I was 8. Been taking the game seriously for a few years.

Online I play 200NL and under. I'm beating the WSOP field. I also play MTTs up to $500 (more if i sell action) and am currently down maybe 1k. I dont have #hands or winrate.

Live i play $1/$3 and $1/$2. My current monthly stats are as follows
Hours: 23
Profit: $809

In the latest vid you said you know what your leaks are. What do you feel are your 3 biggest leak at this point in your cash game?

Thanks.

are you calling the villain "old lady" who "sucked out on me" at the table in front of everyone?

also i don't think that's a huge suckout, you're losing there at least once every 4 hands and losing most of the time they call, AK was the absolute bottom of the calling range

she played it poorly but she was correct in the sense that by jamming you turned your hand into a bluff - which is why she called

don't bluff bad players, they have trouble recognizing that a premium holding preflop may no longer be premium post flop and have lots of trouble folding hands like AK they are already emotionally invested in

edit: kept listening and you said you had a good read on her to stack off with A high there, that makes the jam a bit better but I suspect it's more results oriented thinking

gl and don't play big pots with marginal holdings - pot control is a helpful tool at times

also, you can't be upset with KQ on Q77 shove but happy with QJ on J66 board - it's same exact board, same exact play, you're letting results impact your analysis, that's a terrible habit you need to drop

AK hand seems standard

The table had broken when I was filming that, and I was practically whispering. She's also half deaf. I never want to embarrass or call out anyone while I'm vlogging. I almost always only record myself and I don't harass or intimidate anyone at the table. Like the saying goes, don't tap the glass.

I agree, don't bluff bad players. But I knew she most likely had AK / AQ or worse. She has a very unique and horrible play style. She calls it off 80% of the time with any two overs. When she has it, she checks. She bet 75% pot or full pot, I went with my read and was correct. If that's results oriented thinking, it is what it is i guess? If i was wrong, I would have taken into consideration that sometimes when she bets pot she isn't bluffing.

Pot control absolutely. No need to be risking a million bucks with QJ.

you saw my post before i added this part

i get that you had a read etc etc and reads are important, but it's important to remind yourself that reads are nothing more than narrowing ranges and improved accuracy on tracking tendencies, it's one thing to know she'll stack off with two overcards on a paired board, but i don't think you're being honest with yourself if you say "i knew she had ak/aq and would call a shove" that's way too accurate and precise to ever do anything other than get you to make horrible decisions in the long run because the more precise you get with her holdings and actions the more often you'll be wrong

agreed she may just be that terrible a player that plays incredibly transparently, but would you also shove with 22 here if everything were the same?

seems like you're way above the the 1-2 field and should do well and just gotta plug some leaks

my advice is make friends with some winning regs so you have people to discuss hands over - your success in this is going to much easier if you have access to objective commentary from others as that is tantamount to free coaching

we're all rooting for you, glgl

You make some very good points. Thank you.

I do have a lot of good friends out here; I am working on my game mostly behind the scenes. Free coaching and review is always the nuts, especially when it's with people i get along with. I appreciate you thinking i'm above the 1-2 field; I feel confident moving up after i plug those leaks as said. Just gotta keep on grinding!

Subscribing.

I've read this thread and watched several videos. We do have quite a few similarities. Mostly I'd like to see an increase in volume. You know this, of course. I understand and appreciate where you're coming from with overcoming anxiety.

Also, just straight up live experience is very important in developing as a live player. That'll come with time and you'll make adjustments and continue to improve.

You seem like a smart dude and your desire to learn is great. There's so much to learn and improve upon in poker all the time.

Hey, good question! I am actually making money that is similar to a part time job. As I improve and work on my ability to play for longer periods of time, I should be making even more "decent" money.

I don't have much crypto. I have that as a long term investment that I'd like to not sell if possible.

Dude, how do you not manage to play 30 hours in a full week with no job, for a quality freeroll coaching session from someone dependable in the community?
This does not compute in my brain. I am honestly confused. 30 hours of live poker in 5 days is a piece of cake.

Hey man, agree to disagree. Eventually I hope that 30 hours in 5 days will be super easy for me. I really wanted to meet with him; unfortunately I fell short. I don't want to talk about all my issues, but insomnia + an other poker commitment didn't help.

Blaming insomnia when you live in the #1 city in the world for being productive with insomnia ...

Getting that nice of an apartment + bringing your gaming pc out is big mistake.

Look at the Trooper, his early Vegas vlogs are by far the most entertaining in the space because he was living near the literal bottom rung of society and was forced to get out of his crap apartment everyday and get on his hustle and the viewers got to watch him skirt the edges of bustoville.
