I recall Planet Hollywood having a 1/2 that could play quite big. Golden Nugget's 1/2 game is uncapped.

In terms of 1/3 games, Wynn's is the deepest. I would imagine it's probably the toughest for that reason (although it's hard for me to comment on the softness or difficulty of a 1/3 game).
I didn't know places had 1/2. I had been playing at Caesars while I was staying at Harrah's, and played some at Wynn and Bellagio. Was all $1/$3. Thanks for the info!

Before the pandemic, 1/2 was being spread all over the strip including at Harrah's. I don't know all the poker rooms that remain shut down but there is definitely 1/2 in Vegas.

I think most rooms have changed to 1/3nl. I think Flamingo and South Point still have 1/2nl.

You are using Bravo right?

Aria also tends to be the most reg heavy full of low stakes grinder. Don’t get into the habit of playing there if you recognize everyone at the table. Check Bravo and call in advance before going anywhere.

This is the weekend to grind, sleep Monday, Tuesday. Good luck!
I totally agree with this! Make sure to try different rooms in town till you find where you do best. Whether you feel the games are soft, there's a lot of action, you are comfortable there, or whatever combination of factors lets you make the most money there.

Also, every few months revisit different rooms (even though you wrote off earlier for whatever reason) and put in a night there to see if anything has changed. For me, it really helped me to mix up my environment during the week to stay alert.

When I would keep going to the same room for 5 days a week for 2-3 weeks in a row, things started to get too similar, I got bored, and I got more robotic and started to play too automatic. Just like growing your bankroll, you want to always be improving your game and staying on your toes is the best way to do it. Poker isn't a 9-5 factory job where you do the same task over and over again. Make sure to stay alert!

And make sure to keep vlogging. Always fun to follow a good story!

AT 2+2, people root for and are all positive for the new guy.

That usually turns at some point.

Anyways,

Stones or Beatles?

Well, I'm not gonna stop being me. If people like me, good for them. If not, whatever.

How about Journey?

Haha, thanks. I fired the $300 sattelite into the $1,600 1MM. Couldn't get above 20bigs to save my life. Going to grind 1/3 now and for most of tonight, should have enough footage for a vlog tomorrow.

pman, i want to preface i'm not asking this out of anything other than ignorance and confusion

is there a conflict between christianity and gambling for a profession and if so, how do you square it

i'm asking because i when i saw the religious references in your talk i assumed it was cultural not ideological but then when someone else mentioned it and you responded in the other thread I learned it was earnest and genuine and I wouldn't imagine someone who felt that way would choose this for a lifestyle and trying to understand your point of view

and some poker info and totally get it if you don't want to get into specifics - what is your bankroll, seems like you're a little inconsistent playing 1-3 but also firing into somewhat big tournies - ie if you're only rolled for 1-3 then having a day of 1k tourney entries is extremely dangerous - if you're rolled to play higher then what criteria will it take to make that jump, if not rolled to play higher then why the tournies and what is your outlook going forward ie banking profits or building a roll to play higher?

is your liferoll separate from your poker roll? how many months can you afford to live there without dipping into poker money?

also, for some of your videos, you're ignoring some very basic fundamentals like checking the lighting first - the origin story was great to hear but awful to see since it was all washed out in light, going forward you need to make part of your apartment into a studio where filming will be well lit but not washed like in that one

I saw this one blackjack doc thing several years ago where there was a Christian/Religious Blackjack Team (basically copying the MIT team structure/strategy). They managed to win like nearly $1 million after 2 years with ~20 people.

One guy said, "God put him on earth to count cards to destroy the casinos"

That quote left me intrigued in several ways.

People can justify pretty much anything if they try hard enough.

Hey, thanks for the questions. First of all, I will admit the origin story video was extremely rushed and poorly put together. It was filmed on my laptop which defaulted it to a 4:3 ratio. I also didnt give 2 shits about the lighting at the time as I had just woken up. I am trying to improve my videos, and I do acknowledge this shortcoming.

When it comes to believing in God and gambling...I'm going to bring the bible out for this one.
"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" Mark 8:36

I like this verse. I interpret it as "what is life if you are rich and have everything, but lose your morals?". I do not see playing poker as something immoral. While I am winning at the expense of others losing, we are both choosing to partake in this game. Sometimes they will win from my loss (although hopefully not frequently).

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'" Hebrews 13:5

I really like this verse as well. A lot of bible verses quote the money as being the root of all evil; this is wrong. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Those willing to do anything and sacrifice who they are to gain money...that is evil. I am playing a game I love to try and make a living.

About my liferoll and bankroll...I am keeping that private for now. I am planning to release an indepth video later this week of my exact finances, my sources of income, etc etc....I think diving into the numbers and being extremely open, honest, and vulnerable will bring good people into my life who have better advice for me.

Thanks, and please let me know if i missed anything.

Geez, thats interesting lol. When it comes to getting "lucky" I never pray for that ****. I always pray that i play to the best of my ability, and whatever happens happens.
