Bold and strong move to republish the vlog. In the long run, methinks you'll gain more by having it online. I applaud you.

Also: stay out of the pits. Your own money or not. Stay out of the pits.

The page has been turned, start the new chapter.

Thank you. I think I will for the most part. I've met some cool people on here, but there is a high level of toxicity over there. Lol. Amen to family friends and real supporters. I'm blessed.

PMan when you look back you’ll realize that the tough love you get in the LVL thread is what you need to hear - its up to you to heed the good advice. The people here who pat you on the back arent doing you a favor. Your family and close friends - I hope - are telling you that if you dont actually commit to doing the work then you are wasting your time. If you want a Vegas vacation then awesome go for it, but if you really want to be a pro player then actually study and play and work at it. No excuses - go to work.

Regarding the 32 hand on the 432 board. I understand why you didn't fold, because you have 2 pair and the absolute strength of 2 pair is quite good, but given the action of a player betting and another raising this is just a trivial fold. You're completely crushed by sets and larger 2 pairs. You are in terrible shape vs straights. When the player practically min-clicks it from 20 to 45 his range is mostly weighted towards value.

However when you consider the type of flush draws someone would likely play aggressively on this board, they are mostly going to be: 4X (which you are slightly behind and flipping with), AX (which you are slightly ahead of and flipping with) and 5X (which you are slightly behind and flipping with). So even if you optimistically add these drawing hands to your opponents range, your bottom two pair is still not fairing that great.

He optimistically puts both players on draws in this hand when everyone has a wide range but the AA hand he just folds when the big blind donks 2x pot.

I think it would be good for you to book some wins. Like, if you are up $700 or $1000 just bounce. Go get something to eat or go rest. Then come back and play poker in an hour or two. No need to risk a huge stack when losing it could be so detrimental to your overall goal.

Also, stop playing tournaments. Focus on cash games until you get good at cash games. Once you are consistently winning at cash games then you can do fun stuff like play tournaments. Playing both will most certainly delay your growth as a cash game player.

If OP is sincerely looking for feedback on some of the HHs then he should post in LLSNL forum, imo.

As for the AA hand where he just folds to the 2x pot donk from the big blind, do you know what kind of hands the big blind can have? Mid pocket pairs up to JJ. That 2x pot donk screams I have a good pocket pair, I think I'm good now and I don't want the raiser's big unpaired cards to see a turn for cheap and an over card comes and now I'm scared so I want to win the pot right now.

If Pman had played over a thousand hours or so in Vegas 1-3 games, he would get a better feel for population tendencies.

This is pman's thread. Talk to him, not about him. You have some good constructive comments, but don't bring that LVL attitude in here. Let's at least keep this one place free of all that.

Totally agree. PGC is like a 'safespace.' nothing good comes from unwarranted confidence, only correct advice. Good example - I see a ton of these threads where somebody moves here to be play for a living. Aside from random congratulating for bravery, a piece of advice I ALWAYS see is to add to your BR every month without acception, as if this is something one can control. You can chose not to go play the pits. You can't chose to never ever have a losing month. I've been playing full time for 10 years now. I've only had one year with zero losing months. Most years I've had one to three. Two years ago, I had 5 losing months (two were consecutive). All ten years were winning years. This is not uncommon. You can't build every month. You have to compensate somehow on the months where you can't (drop down in stakes, play low variance games like O8, cut down your living expenses etc. And compensate by putting ALOT back when your running above EV. SEE This is advice it's what somebody can do, not what ideally should happen.

I agree. I've talked over this hand with a few people, none of us ultimately like how I played it. I'm eliminating straddles from my game for the first part so I don't wind up in these weird situations. And I definitely overplayed the hand. I have bottom two on a super wet board.

I also agree with this. Did that the past couple of nights, been making a few hundy here and there. Right now with a tighter budget I'm definitely leaning towards taking a win instead of risking heaps. When it comes to tournaments, I only hopped in because there was overlay and I've won the $160 at resorts world before. It's a great tournament.

I don't really want to put my vlog on another forum. Maybe I'll check it out and reconsider? I like talking in the youtube comments, my discord, and this thread

I don't think youre being a douche at all, and it probably isn't. I'm trying to get better at explaining my thought process behind the hands. lol.

I hear what you're saying and I agree. I have completely cut out -EV things from my life (pits and drinking). The only gambling I'll be doing is when I get freeplay at resorts world, try and play through it and cash out whatever sleft. Adding to the bankroll is key.

Thanks everyone. Small 50th vlog "recap compilation" or something is in the works. Getting more hand histories for 51.

I'm not sure what your HH feedback situation is, but if you're getting enough HH feedback elsewhere then that's fine. Otherwise, posting some HHs (not the vlog itself) in the LLSNL forum for feedback is an option.
